A list of puns related to "Dxf"
I understand this is an esoteric question to say the least, but Reddit has helped me before so maybe it can again.
We use custom 3D modeling software that works in-tandem with AutoCAD. I am currently using AutoCAD 2017. Our software has a process where it applies our drawings produced from the modeler to a titleblock (a blank template in other words) that is saved in the form of a DXF file; this DXF file also has blank fields for information that is tied to a CRD file, info that is filled in elsewhere. We also have our own font that we use for dimensions, as well as our own leader arrows; these are things you can find in the Dimension Style window.
I have created a new titleblock and DXF. The problem I'm having right now is, no matter what I do, I cannot get the drawings produced from this DXF file to come with our custom dimension style settings. Each time I establish the dimension style settings in the DXF file, the drawings come out with the default dimension settings anyway. It goes back to "Standard" font, in Decimal form (we need Architectural), etcetera.
We have previously made DXFs and titleblocks that work just fine, but I've gone through each of them and can't find any difference between them and mine. Even copying my titleblock onto an old DXF has made no difference.
If anyone has any idea whatsoever what I'm missing, any random clue at all, I'd greatly appreciate any leads.
I'm trying to import a DXF file into silhouette studio but the arches are not correct. The DXF file (saved via a sketch in Solidworks) uses a perfect circle to cut out the arches, but they're not even close to being correct in silhouette studio. The image on the left is my DXF file and the image on the right is what it looks like in silhouette studio.
Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?

Hi everyone,
I have a DXF file : https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/d77fed24-c270-4407-81c7-fb59bd718e02
and I would like to fill the inside like this

I have tried the Fill bounded areas tools (here in orange) but the result is weird.. (gap between the path and the Fill)

Any ideas how to fill it correctly ?
Thanks
A project I've been working on is at the point where I want to lasercut. When I started Fusion 360 could export dxf but that's no longer the case with my education license. Is there a way around this that I can get it a dxf somehow? I have 10 total parts but have only finished some, but I'm at the point where the rest are mostly just entering dimensions
Basically this, I having hard time managing to do it.
Want to print to test it before I send it to the factory to produce.
I need some help here as a beginner to Inkscape.
I made some hand drawn things that I need to clean up and convert into Dxf files for laser cutting. They are saved as pdf's on my system.
How do I go about this? I often end up with speckled low quality Dxf's after doing the trace bitmap thing. I need to edit lines and delete them so as to adjust thickness.
Is there a specific version of Inkscape I should use?
Thanks for the help if possible!
Hello, I've got a member of my staff that needs to be able to view .dxf files. He told me AutoCAD for ios isn't cutting it. We found Shapr 3D which seems great but is extremely expensive. Anyone have a suggestion for a more affordable CAD reader for iPad?
Thanks!
So Iโm looking at upgrading my 5wt 9ft rod which is what I use for virtually everything. After a good amount of researching Iโve basically narrowed the search down to either the Recon 2 or the Douglas DXF. Wanting to know if anyone had experience with either or both of these rods. Also if someone has used the new Orvis rod section warranty service I would love to hear how that is. Thanks.
