I'm once again looking for your expertise*!* My friend was supposed to take photos of my and my dog Milo for my Christmas cards, but due to scheduling issues we can't find one that would allow me to have time to print the photos.
I don't have a specific art style that I'm looking for, but I am looking for a semi-minimalistic and non- to semi-realistic for the art. I would like for it to take accents from a Scandinavian Hygge-esque Christmas. I'd like for the size to fit a normal post card.
My current budget is $50, but it's negotiable since there will be me and my dog along with the other requests. Additionally, if possible, I'd like a one week turnaround since I'll need to get it printed very soon.

Probably not the typical question, but as vets, would you appreciate/think it is cute to get donuts and a card “from” a dog for Christmas? Because of some health issues, our dog has had probably 20+ vet visits in the past 6 months. I honestly can’t keep count anymore.
We’d like to show a token of appreciation for all of the help with our pup, but can’t afford a ton. We thought some donuts or other snack and a card “from” our dog at his last appointment before the holidays would be something we could manage to say thank you.
Is it weird to give a vet’s office a Christmas gift? Any other thoughts?

I just ordered prints of my Radin's Christmas photos that I like to send in Christmas cards. Since I have an abundance of both cards and photos, I thought I would share both here - hence why you must love dogs :) (We'd be honored if you'd hang on to his picture for a bit)! Please, be open to receiving all types of Christmas cards and glitter since I have a mix of cutesy, religious, and glitter cards. Just DM me (not chat) me an address. I'm starting with a 20-25 limit so I don't get overwhelmed, lose my steam, or run out of time! I like to write more than a generic message and a signature so you’ll probably get some stream of consciousness blather :)
ETA: This got more response than I was expecting! I have plenty of addresses, more than I anticipated! I’m marking this as fulfilled for now. I will post again if I feel I can do more. I’m a 29 average girl from Maryland back on these apps again! I live in Northern Virginia and I have a townhouse that I bought #americandream. Right now I’m renovating it with a friend so be prepared for a barrage of pictures of kitchens, showers, furniture as well as daily doggie updates. I also have a 2 year old black lab (pictures in profile) and I couldn’t imagine life again without a dog.
Sanding furniture and walls is the worst. I’ve been applying moisturizer nonstop to my poor, delicate hands. Through this project I’ve learned how to change outlets myself, paint, and vacuum. I’ve also learned I shouldn’t be anywhere near saws or a caulking gun.
The biggest dealbreaker that people have with me is that with my profession I will typically move countries every 2-3 years, and I plan to home base around DC as it was already basically home. On the plus side if you’ve really wanted to see all the world I’m your girl!
I am professionally proficient in Spanish and know enough phrases in a few other languages to get laughs. I love learning foreign languages and learning about difficult cultures.
I like to take care of people and make sure they’re ok - I have a protector personality type. I am more laid back/easy going and I don’t like to argue and can’t remember the last time I raised my voice. I don’t get jealous and I don’t have trust issues. I am a monogamous person and would never cheat. I don’t do drugs and almost never drink - although as I approach my 30s/ old lady status wine is becoming more and more delicious. I like to talk a lot and make people laugh but sometimes my jokes bomb ;( My life motto is to accept the unexpected and I try to make the best of everything that happens. I would say I’m not like most girls so if you’re looking for something unique send me a message!
I have 15 10 of these! The front looks so nice that it's just got glitter accents on a few spots. Opened the box last night, THE INSIDE IS COATED. It's not even important glitter for accents, it's JUST GLITTER.
Not only that, I had banged the cards on top of the garbage can for about ten minutes and it's STILL COATED.
I feel so terrible about sending these sweet and lethal cards to anyone not wanting glitter. Which brings me here, to my RAOC'ers. I was hoping to catch the giant T-Rex in Christmas in the oaks lit up just before dusk, but no luck. Any other outdoor suggestions for a cute Christmas card with my poorly behaved dog? Hoping for something silly, but a pretty holiday background will work. Thanks!
I am on a tighter budget than usual this month because I want to buy Christmas presents for my family and a little plastic tree. I won't have much left after paying rent and presents.
With that said, my cousin recently bought a dog and she has been telling me she can't afford food, toys for the dog, and a dog bed and asked me for the money. She wants to get the dog spayed also. I initially told her I would give her $20 but she is saying she needs $300. I can afford it but I would have to not get gifts for my family.
She asks me about it several times a day, saying I should not value material things above a dog's life. I am an animal lover and have upped my contribution to $100 but she says I have my priorities wrong.
By the way, the presents I'm getting are not expensive at all, just a pair of shoes or a new backpack so I can't go that much lower.
Is it wrong of me to want to put Christmas presents for my family above her dog, given her dog will at least have food from the money I am offering?
Thank you guys for the responses. It has made me reconsider my feelings of guilt about giving her more money for the dog. As long as she (the dog) has food, the spaying is not an emergency. I know it isn't my dog, but I don't want any animal to suffer, and my cousin is dead set on keeping the dog so I did feel like I should help out as much as possible to ensure the dog has a good life. I'll be looking into low cost options around her.
CHRISTMAS UPDATE IF YOU REMEMBER: DND SURPRISE WAS AN ABSOLUTE SUCCESS. HAVE NOT RECEIVED A HUG THAT LASTED THAT LONG BEFORE. IT WAS AMAZING. HE WAS VERY SURPRISED AND IS SO EXCITED. I LET HIM KNOW ABOUT HIS BUDDY FLYING UP AND HIS FACE FROZE AND MOUTH DROPPED AND IT WAS AMAZING. I WON CHRISTMAS HAHA. THANK YOU EVERYONE. MAYBE A FOLLOW UP ON THE DND WEEKEND.
Nother update…I am finally able to see which books he already has: Players handbook, dungeons masters guide and monster manual.

I did reach out to a little local shop in my town to help me with buying some books and things. They are a small company which I love to support and definitely know what to look for. I am ordering some incredible dice that look badass! I am running through Etsy for material and beautiful creations and characters and boards. I will have a rather large box FULL of stuff, thanks to ALL OF YOU for all of the ideas (including whiteboards and notebooks for planning).
The community on here warms my heart, I’m so grateful for each and every one of your helpful and sweet comments. You all have no idea how much it means to me. I definitely am becoming a fan already just by the people and how incredibly wide of variety there is in this game and group. I will absolutely be updating you early Feb with how it all went!
Couple pointers that I’ve said a couple times to messages I’ve received: He has played before. He wants to be DM for the first time. I do have a group picked out already. I understand about the dice. Lots of dice. Dice dice dice. He has no idea. He will receive as a gift all of his materials and books and DICE etc on Christmas. Then he will have a month to plan out what he needs to! Yes I’ll absolutely be playing as well. I am studying. If you have any studying guides or learning info please feel free to comment.

Our dog is getting groomed on Saturday so we'd like to take a nice family photo somewhere with a nice backdrop afterwards. We're hoping to find a spot that is not too busy and a place we can socially distance from people. If anyone knows of any hidden gems, please do share :) thanks in advance!
I’m just about finished sending the cards promised in my original post, and I have A LOT of Christmas pictures of my Radin left. This offer is for a Christmas card with a picture of my pupper included inside, which we hope you’ll hold on to for at least a little while. Please be open to religious, cutesy, and glitter cards since I’m using what I have on hand. This is also for those who don’t mind getting a card after Christmas passes - I’m not sure how many I can bust out this week. US only since I blew through my international postage. Please DM an address (not chat).
As much as the dilapidated house could do with burning to the ground, mail piling up is probably risking a fire spreading to the neighbours.
Additionally, consider actually finding out what the recipient's address is. Having to find "John" on a street with 400 houses on it because you can't remember his house number is at best time consuming, and at worst will mean the card takes a short trip to the industrial shredder.
