A list of puns related to "Deborah Chow"
Big props to Deborah Chow for directing some of my favorite episodes of The Mandalorian so far (Episode 3 and 7). It seems like the Obi Wan show is going to be in good hands if she keeps this up and it makes me really look forward to her work on there. Hopefully she'll direct a few episodes of season 2 of The Mandalorian when it returns.
I just canβt get over how adorable he is in the documentary about the Mandalorian. So humble! Do you want him to take more responsibilities or rather create more awesome content?
I've been enjoying the Mandalorian a lot, but episode 3 was definitely a highlight for me. Now more than ever I'm really excited to see what she can do with the Obi-Wan series.
Also, I'm curious what that show will even be like, since I figured it would be a sort of Samurai/western type show which the Mandalorian has seized on. Not to say they can't both be, but I figure they'll want to do something a little different.
I am in my mid 40s and my favorite movies will always be the original trilogy. I thought the prequels were awful, and the new movies have been entertaining, but haven't gotten me excited. Except for Rogue One, which I think is phenomenal and I wish they would give Gareth Edwards more to do in the Universe.
I came to this point where I felt that my Star Wars was the past and this new stuff was for a younger generation of Star Wars fans. Jon Favreau has created something here that I never thought would be possible. I have an excitement about Star Wars again that I have not felt since I was a kid. I just finished episode 3 and I nearly shed tears of joy by the end. I'm just blown away. I hope they let these folks work on some movies too, as I believe they have what it takes to truly take this Universe where I think we all want it to go.
Kathleen Kennedy can go and hyperspace ram herself into a brick wall and take Rian Johnson with her.
We need a team with a story and world structure.
This is just more speculation and ANALYSIS:
If you look through the news and announcements on the Star Wars website the most recent blog post is the news that Deborah Chow, who directed episodes of The Mandalorian, will direct The Obi Wan series.
Then under that in the timeline there is stuff about Jedi: Fallen Order, a kids book, more Fallen Order stuff, comics, Clone Wars, Triple Force Friday, but Feige coming onboard, which is by far the biggest creative news to hit Lucasfilm since Benioff and Weiss, is not mentioned.
That came to us via Alan Horn, who is Kathy Kennedy's boss, and works outside Lucasfilm.
To me, this jives well with the han_shotfirst insider who said Iger has taken a more direct role in overseeing Lucasfilm. When Benioff and Weiss were tapped for film projects, that was announced in the press and on StarWars.com and their in-house media unit.
In October 2018, StarWars.com revealed the directors for the Mandalorian. In July 2018 they announced the cast of Episode IX, in March 18 they announced that Favereau would join the company, in February 18, they announced Benioff and Weiss would make a series of films, in December 17 they announced a Rian Johnson trilogy, and in September 17 the site announced JJ would return for IX.
And yet, here we are, two days after Alan Horn told the Hollywood Reporter that the most financially successful producer in Hollywood history was picked to oversee a Star Wars movie, and StarWars.com, and all the official Star Wars media is mute.
Star Wars twitter has nothing.
The Star Wars Show has had two shorts and an episode about Force Friday, but nothing about Feige.
If this didnt come from Alan Horn, you would be forgiven for not believing it.
Feige isn't shy. And he is a massive Star Wars fan. He is the perfect guy to put in front of a camera and talk about the figures and the comics from his youth, and he will connect with a lot of the disenfranchised fans.
But an announcment like that makes a lot of noise.
Now it is possible that Horn jumped the gun and there was a planned roll out and he decided to ignore the time and money they spent marketing and preparing for the official announcement in favor of putting a few lines inside a trade publication.
My pure speculation and hypothesis based on absolutley no research or inside information is that is not what happened.
To me, it looks like they timed Horn's announcment to coincide with Triple Force Friday, and the Deborah Chow news, and w
... keep reading on reddit β‘She killed this episode. It had a certain flare and sensibility about it that even the first two episodes didnβt have. There were some really amazing shots in this one, and the action was spot on. Iβm glad there will be a director in the chair for Obi-Wan that will be able to give their entire vision over each episode. Not that the βdifferent directorβ per episode approach isnβt working for the Mandalorian, but Iβm just glad to see Obi-Wan will be in good hands.
She is incredible. The two episodes she directed for The Mandalorian are the best (so far) and she gets it, she knows how to set up the mood, the pace, the way she directs the actors and the scenes as well as using the proper inspirations and not make it obvious.
I'm currently skeptical about Star Wars in the large screen because while I greatly enjoyed the current one, I'm aware of its polarizing reception so if Disney ever decided to do a 3rd trilogy, which they'll probably will, please get Deborah Chow to helm it because she has it. Until then, I can't wait to savor Kenobi.
Deborah Chow has directed the two best episodes of Mando so far, in my humble opinion. She has me incredibly excited for the Obi-wan show in the near future. The tone matches everything I want in a Star Wars show. Cinematically sheβs done a great job as well. You can also tell she has done her due diligence in terms of keeping up with Star Wars lore. Hope Disney/Star Wars puts even more trust in her in the future
This episode is by far better than the rest and really shows the way Jon builds his stories into one complete picture. I couldnβt help myself but make a post to highlight how well this was directed and has such a bigger, movie like feel to it! What an ending!
