Welcome to Critter Country!
Y’know, this used to be called Bear Country and was where you could find the Country Bear Jamboree! That’s long gone, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh takes its place now!
But you aren’t checking up on that attraction, you’re going to be checking up on Splash Mountain!
The spirits are more dangerous than ever since they’ve found out their home is being re-themed, so they might take out their anger on you as you’re doing your job, so be prepared for that.
Rules for Splash Mountain:

The beginning before you go into the show scenes is perfectly safe! It might be creepy since there’s no music playing, but you can relax for a bit!

If you pass Br’er Bear’s house and hear snoring, that means you’re safe. If you don’t, then he’s awake. Be careful.

Once you get inside the ride, the animatronics will be watching you carefully to make sure you don’t mess anything up. Ever since the re-theme announcement however, they’ll follow you, eagerly waiting for you to mess up even one time.

Pick up ALL the trash you see in the ride. The animatronics will know if you’ve missed some. They won’t let you leave.

As soon as you get to the beehive portion of the ride, duck down in your log. The bees will attempt to sting you. They won’t see you when you’re ducked down.

As soon as you go up the lift hill for the huge drop, cover you ears and close your eyes. You’ll see and hear things you wouldn’t want to hear.

After the huge drop is when you can relax until you get to the scene where everyone is singing.

Once you arrive to the scene, cover your ears, and duck in your log, as the animatronics will be chanting instead of singing. You’ll know you’ll be safe when your log comes to a complete stop.
And those are all the rules you need to know about Splash Mountain! Don’t let the animatronics get to you and kill you! And have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah time!
Your next shift will be back in Fantasyland, and at the Storybook Land Canal Boats!

I had made a post about customizing a Green Hill Manor but then it sold a few hours later so I had to throw that idea out. Anyway, I have a damaged Country Home (it's missing the connector piece) and was wondering if anyone has found a successful replacement part/fix for it?

So as you can see from the title I am from Luxembourg, which is a tiny country of around 650k inhabitants and I was wondering if there are other Luxembourgians like me on this subreddit as I would love to share my passion for CR with other people, maybe watch episodes together or simply hang out. So now with Splash Mountain being confirmed gone, what do you guys will think happen to CC? Apart from a sub par Winnie the Pooh attraction and a hungry bear restraunt, whats left of critter country to save?
Critter Country is one of the least-talked about areas of the park, and perhaps for good reason--it feels sort of like an extension of Frontierland with Winnie the Pooh thrown in, and creates an awkward dead end in the park. With Galaxy's Edge bringing a new path to connect Critter Country to more of the park, what changes would you eventually like to see? Winnie the Pooh refurb? Return of the Country Bears? New attraction/shops/dining? A total overhaul and retheme? Let's talk pie-in-the-sky ideas, not what could and will actually happen (because, in all likelihood, the answer is "nothing").

It's common knowledge that Splash Mountain (Disneyland Ride) is based on Disney's most infamous movie, Song of the South. I found it mildly surprising that two of the hero characters from Zootopia were almost identical to characters, in at least looks, to characters in "Song of the South"
I was pondering this with my S/O when we got out of the movie. Was Zootopia in some way made to make their existing ride (Splash Mountain) an easy re-skin to Zootopia?
Its setting up an all too close idea as the (mostly likely 100% untrue) urban myth of the change in "Pirates of the Caribbean". (tl;dr version: Child gets upset because Jack Sparrow isn't anywhere on the ride. Family has a horrible time and possibly threatens some sort of legal action if unchanged. There's also mounting support to want to get the ride "in line" with the movies.)

Br'er Rabbit (AKA Officer Judy Hopps) Br'er Rabbit resembles a rabbit that lived in Judy Hopps' hometown of Bunnyburrow. You can see this in the film when Judy Hopps returns to Bunnyburrow and wears a similarly famed pink button up and blue jeans.

Br'er Fox (AKA Nick P. Wilde) This Image of Br'er Fox seems to look very close to Nick P. Wilde, are they the same fox? The same family?
Disney is clearly up to something on some level. It wouldn't take too much to change all of critter country into a "Zootopia" themed area, keeping Splash Mountain mostly in tact and re-skinning it to fit the theme.

I thought this was a nice little article about farm that does small scale, pasture raised pigs. Especially because this is from a producer focused industry publication.

So, summer time changes came to the country I currently live in, and watching the livestreams get pretty Impossible when It ends at 5am. Do any of you know If there's a way to set up wake-up calls so mods and/or friends to wake us up in time for the rebroadcast, perhaps an app or something? I've googled and found Wakie and Trigga but these require me to set up a time and we all know the streaming and rebroadcast have no set time to end and begin, respectively.
PS: maybe alternatively I can set up an alarm to warn me of G&S's notification e-mail for the rebroadcast?
Hey guys, not sure if this will even be relevant to anymore, but a while back, Joe Rogan had David Choe on as a guest and Choe announced the Critters Cross Country Cash Contest. Long story short, I know the winner of the contest (one of two guys who split the winnings) and went looking for the podcast where he was awarded the winner. Couldn't find it, apparently the podcast has been removed. I have my own shitty little podcast I have recently started and my friend has agreed to give a full telling of the contest in the next couple of weeks, some stories of his experience and the receiving of the money. If you guys are interested in hearing this interview, I will provide a link to it in this sub, provided it doesn't get deleted by the admins.

Hello again all!
This past Saturday I entered the ipmsoc (International Plastic Modelers Society Orange County) Orange Con 2018 modeling contest. This was my first contest and shockingly enough I won 2nd place in the Misc Category with my Modified Calico Critter school bus! Im still in shock to be honest but im very happy with the outcome! The model is a mixture of scratch building and 3D printing. The design idea was to make a self contained workshop on wheels, sadly currently i have no great pictures of the inside (still need to add lights) but in the back is a full workshop containing a custom made Drill press.
