A list of puns related to "Continuative Aspect"
Globasa's compound tenses include the following perfect (completed) tenses.
Present Completed: nun le
Mi nun le yam pingo.
I have eaten the apple.
Past Completed: le le
Mi le le yam pingo.
I had eaten the apple.
Future Completed: xa le
Mi xa le yam pingo.
I will have eaten the apple.
In English, the perfect tenses don't always express completed actions. The first three English uses of the Perfect below are equivalent to Globasa's Present Completed tense.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_(grammar)
"I have lost my pen-knife" (message: I still don't have it)
"It has rained" (implication: the streets are wet now)
"Bill has been to America""I have seen that film three times now"
The two other uses of the perfect in English, in which actions are not completed, but are on-going are now expressed in Globasa with the continuative aspect adverb dupul.
"The meaning of the Perfect has been debated for 200 years"(or the active equivalent: "Linguists have debated the meaning of the Perfect tenses for 200 years.")
"I have always guided him"
The adverb dupul is also used with stative verbs (verbal and adjectival):
Mi dupul kone te dur 30 nyan.
I have known him for 30 years.
Mi dupul gadibu.
I have been angry.
Yu dupul kepul?
How have you been?
In the addition, dupul is also used when the perfect progressive is used in English.

Mi dupul yam hin pingo dur un satu.
I have been eating this apple for one hour.
Yu dupul fale keto?
What have you been doing?
Mi dupul doxo hin kitabu xorfe leja dinalar.
I have been reading this book since last week.
(This last example shows that the action doesn't necessarily need to be uninterrupted
... keep reading on reddit β‘So assuming gamefreak continues the letβs go line, what aspects do you all want kept that might not have been in the original regions? With LGPE being a recreation of Yellow it makes sense that we get the original 3 starters given to us but would you want that in a letβs go johto title too? Obviously overworked Pokemon should stick around but the lack of wild battles in letβs go annoyed me to be honest. Iβd prefer the same capture method used for the legendaries be used for all PokΓ©mon. I really liked the combination of the battling and the letβs go capture method. What do you guys think?
Mandarin distinguishes progressive versus continuous verbs with aspect markers so that the same "root" is used for both forms. In English we do not conjugate for progressive versus continuous so in the case of "to wear" the phrase "He wears clothes." means he is in the state of being clothed while in Mandarin it could also mean "He puts on clothes" in the progressive.
This is the commonly cited example. Does anyone know of other words in Mandarin or another language where this is the case? Are there any examples with English translations that illustrate the English pairs of continuous/progressive like "wear" vs "put on"? Does anyone know of links or resources that discuss this in more depth?
If we take the verb "to run" for example.
"she is running." = She is currently in the act of running. It is ongoing and continuous.
"she is running for office next year." = She is in the state of running.
What would the progressive form of "running" be or mean?
"She is running races more and more often now."
or "Let me tell you how she came to be running for office."
or "Let's run up to the park."
or "She ran up the bill."
I would appreciate anyone's comments in order to understand this better.
I'm wondering if any of you have wondered why Sarah decided to run away to the woods and catch fish for food when she has a fortified basement with "5-6 years worth of calories" down there. Not only did she run away from that, she brought no food with. I'm sure we'll find out since we're only 2 episodes in, but I just found it odd.
I, for one, hope that future Power Rangers series, products, and films expand on the multiverse concept.
I've always liked the idea of alternate realities and various ranger teams teaming up, from simple team-ups with the previous team to multiple teams teaming up (Dimensions in Danger from Ninja Steel, Shattered Grid from the comics, and the Battle for the Grid and Legacy Wars video games).
I don't expect it to be as large as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it would be interesting to see the "multiverse" aspect of the series expanded upon in some way or form in future projects.
