A list of puns related to "Colorist"
Hey everyone, just looking for a talented colorist for a manga panel and future projects if the end result turns out well.
You can be badass, experienced, new or talented. Preferably experienced. But have knowledge and skill in color theory, such as color harmony, contrasting/complimentary colors and so forth.
An example would be Hirohiko Araki (Jojoβs Bizzare Adventure)
Price: $20-50 Negotiable)
Hello everyone! I'm a horror/young adult comic artist seeking for some help to color my comic.
I would be providing fully finished lineart for you to color. I use a Webtoon style, my chapters are usually about 40 panels long and each chapter would have a soft deadline of about a month/4 weeks to complete.
I'm offering a budget of about 200 dollars per chapter. What I'm looking for in a colorist is someone able to do shading, and color in different dramatic lighting and palettes. You should also be able to handle dark themes like body horror, gore, cults, and similar.
Please leave me a portfolio in comments or a DM, thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a fantastic day!
I colored my brown hair last year for the first time blonde, I loved it. I went back for two root touch ups. The first went great, she did all these high and low lights that added depth, just amazing. When back again and the regular person has left that salon. Another colorist stepped in, discussed for 10 minutes color I wanted, I ended up saying as long as my roots are blonde I'll be happy. She WAY over processed my hair! And it's brown. My hair is breaking in chunks, it feels like straw, and the roots are brown, I want to cry. I'm scared to even brush my hair. I've been using deep conditioners 2x week but it has been over a month and little improvement. I'm looking for an amazing color correctionist, specializing in blonde do you know one? Please advise, where can I go? I'll drive any where... Woodlands, Katy, Sugarland, inner loop. Who out there do you think is amazing and does your blonde. Thanks
Looking for help with flat colors for a new webtoon project (slice of life/romantic). Episodes will be around 40-50 panels every two weeks.
Only looking for flat colors, not full coloring.
Comment your prices for per episode or per panels if interested.
Disclaimer: I am not a colorist.
I got an LG C1, put it on Filmmaker Mode, hooked it up to my laptop via HDMI, and graded some Pocket 4K footage on it for fun (not calibrated, no I/O box...just fucking about)
I got a shot to look nice on the C1 and then went to look at the shot on my laptop and my iPhone, and I was absolutely shocked at how fucking different it looked on these LCD displays as far as contrast and black levels were concerned.
And then an issue I hadn't considered before dawned on me.
If I grade on the OLED so that contrast and blacks look good on the OLED, which as we know has those pure ass blacks, then on LCDs the image is flatter, more washed out, and blacks look really lifted.
If I grade on the LCD so the contrast and blacks look good on the LCD, then on the OLED the blacks look crushed and the image is overly contrasty.
So how the fuck do colorists handle black levels considering different end-user display technologies?
Itβs so frustrating that tyra will choose bullies over respectable black women and allows micro/macro aggressions to occur in the house. do you guys remember in C15 when Emily wrote βugh I might have to room with a black girlβ and iβm surprised tyra didnt cuss her out or ask her to leave immediately. tyra always allows subtle racism to occur during the houses or photo shoots and I donβt get it? tyra is still a black woman and it pains me that she judges minority groups. Or when tyra and the judges kept calling Sheena HOOCHIE π© I hated how they treated her. she was so beautiful and they always sexualized her. She judges women of color, black women, and foreign women with strong accents. or when itβs time for makeover they change everything about them! I donβt understand the hate for these women because theyβre all beautiful
Hi! I'm wanting to get my color grading to the next level. I want to focus on being a colorist in the next stage of my career. Lately I've been getting lots of cam op / cinematographer jobs but I want to shift my focus on being a colorist as I want to work remotely and hire other people to do the physical work. I edit on Premiere but I'm also ready to jump to Resolve.
I kinda know the basics of grading but all self taught. My work is okay but again I want to keep improving. Free resources like YouTube or similar would be great but I'm okay to pay some quality course as well. All I can find on YouTube is Qazi and I find his content... subpar. I feel like he's just doing it for YouTube.
TLDR; Want to become a colorist but don't know where to start. Any good Free/paid learning resources?
Edit: Found our new artist. Thank you to everyone who reached out, I apologize if I didnβt respond to you I had a lot of messages and tried to get to everyone.
Basically what the title says. I have been writing a fantasy series for a while now. I currently have an artist who is inking the pages. The next step would be to have someone else (this opportunity) color those pages. Iβm kinda looking for a more realistic fantasy look but honestly Iβm not terribly picky on art style
If youβre interested feel free to dm me an example of your work and what your average rate would be per page. I want to commission a test page just so I can see what it would look like with the ink artist I have before I come to a decision. Iβd love to do this by the end of the month but there really isnβt a rush, just a goal.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide! Feel free to ask questions!
Greetings loved ones! Looking to add some partial highlights, very simple balayage (face framing highlights basically), but all the highly recommended salons and stylists have quoted me $300-400+. While I have spent that much on my hair before, what I want doesnβt compare to the full highlights/dye jobs that have charged me that price. Does anyone know of a great, affordable stylist ($100-200?) that can brighten up my dirty blonde hair? Some of the βhigh endβ salons in Phoenix & Scottsdale have just insane pricing and I donβt think itβs quite worth it. Would love to hear about any recommendations or experiences with dying your hair in this area! Thank you!
Hello Reddit,
I find myself in the position of having a complete graphic novel with the exception of four pages that are needing color. My original colorist seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth so I am needing someone that would be able to successfully mimic the previous and following pages of a 4 page section.
Please message me if you're interested with your rates. I don't imagine it's a very exciting job but I'm hoping someone can get me out of a bind.
Thanks for your time,
Benjamin Ruffett
(Not a very great first post but hopefully my next one is to shameless plug a kickstarter campaign)
Hey girls. Anyone have any advice on spotting colorist men? As a light skin bw the amount of times i think things will work out with a guy just to find out they have a weird fixation with my skin color/hair is infuriating. How do I tell if theyβre attracted to me because of my skin color? And do yβall feel like men having a βpreferenceβ is inherently a bad thing? Iβm very attracted to dsbm and I find that this is a problem I face with them very often :(
I need a recommendation for a hair colorist for someone who is naturally brown to go to a light natural looking blonde. Someone who is highly qualified please - and yes I know you get what you pay for and thatβs no problem. Someone who would have no trouble working in LA or NYC and who really understands color and dimension. Thank you!
There are 25+ pages of information, ALL artwork, how to contact me if you are interested, my thoughts on the colors, my plan for the book and lots of other details in this Google Doc: Muscle Planet Business Plan, Coloring Reference
Overview:
Thanks for your time!
I'm looking for someone who can color sequential art work, Every page has a varying level of panels and detail. My budget is $30 to 50$ per page, negotiable depending on how work heavy the page is, each page is 6.75 x 10.5 , no double spreads at the moment as it's more of a personal draft. As for the skill set, I'm looking for those who are comfortable with coloring urban setting and good sense of lighting. Please contact for more information.
UPDATE -
for a better idea of what i'm looking for I've linked some artwork for said comic i'm working on, a feel for the type of style i'm looking for.

Hi, I'm hired to do colors in a music video that will be recorded with Arri. But me and my boss aren't sure what would be the best workflow we can use. I was thinking about grabbing my own disk to copy raw files on the set and after the edit would be done, I would have conform it by myself, color grade( remotely ) and then grab disk and go to his house for minor changes as he is DoP. What do you think about that approach and what do you suggest as transferring files over internet is far from ideal and there might not be enough time to copy ~1 TB of data on set. Thanks for help π
EDIT 1: I won't be colorist/DIT on set, but I'm the same person that will be coloring it later.
Iβm wanting to have my comic colored I have the line art and Iβm looking for someone to test things out with starting with coloring my character designs, payed work of course
Looking to get my highlights and have no idea how to start researching.
Looking to start here! Any recs?
Iβm closer to rosemont but Iβll drive a bit, if itβs worth it!
Thank you :)
Any recommendations for a hair colorist that can deal with stubborn grays and/or transitioning to gray hair? Ideally in Alexandria, Arlington, or Springfield. Bonus if they don't charge a small fortune. Thanks in advance.
hello! I've been wanting to start practising coloring since being a comic colorist is one of my artistic goals but I'm not sure about how can I start or where can I find inks for free use, etc. Not sure about how this world works yet. Thank you all so much for your advice!
I know black men are vocal about how they prefer only light skins, yellowbones and redbones and don't want to be with dark skin black women.
But recently I've noticed everytime I talk to a fellow black woman about her type they always say they prefer the opposite which is dark skin black men and how they don't like light skin black men.
I even noticed this a lot when I was tuning into this black dating show everyweek and almost everytime they interviewed a black woman she always says the person she wants to match with has to be dark skinned.
I feel like sometimes we black women are also colorist too when it comes to dating.
What do y'all think?
