A list of puns related to "Clearcast"
As topic explains. I remember hearing about dps macros that was possible to automatically pick another spell if you proc clearcast. For shamans that would often mean Chainlightning due to its high mana cost. Considering Classic will use Legion/BFA client is this possible and if so how?
Biggest pour tonight, bottom of a terrarium. There was pine bark that I had already dipped in resin and a vinyl bottom.
Made my brew and let it sit a bit while I sussed the layout. Poured and waited, torching it now and again (butane and heat gun) to remove bubbles.
Smelled something smoky and sure enough, there was a faint fog coming off the pour. Went to poke a bubble and it was already hardening after 20 minutes! I usually do small pours and wait 24-hours until it's truly solid.
Pretty much the title, gonna start trying to make rings with either shaping them myself or silicon molds. These are the two I am looking at! The 7050 seems like a better deal.
I am wanting clear and solid as possible!
>Clearcast is the body responsible for clearing ads on behalf of the four major UK commercial broadcasters.
>We assess all ads against the rules of the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising; Clearcast is not a regulator and we do not ban ads. The Iceland ad submitted to us is a Greenpeace film which has been appearing on the Greenpeace website for a number of months.
>The specific rule Clearcast and the broadcasters have considered is:
>An advertisement contravenes the prohibition on political advertising if it is:
>An advertisement which is inserted by or on behalf of a body whose objects are wholly or mainly of a political nature.
>Clearcastβs concerns do not extend to the content or message of the ad.
Some people say that Arcane Missiles are bugged in Classic. They say every tick should have a chance to proc Clearcasting, so if someone spams Arcane Missiles, they can proc a free spell with some 40% probability and not 10% as it is in Classic currently.
I really liked the idea of Arcane Missile spam for lvling and even early 60, and a 40% chance could make it viable-ish. Unfortunately, I found a beautiful bit of research that strongly suggests otherwise which I now share. All credits to Smoker.
------------------------------------------------------
Intended Behavior:
Arcane Missiles should not have several chances to proc Clearcasting on the same cast. It should have one chance to proc when the channel begins, even before the first missile is fired.

Arcane Concentration
Gives you a 10% chance of entering a Clearcasting state after any damage spell hits a target.
Patch note 1.9:
Arcane Missiles - Will now be able to trigger procs based on dealing damage.
Patch 3.0.8:
Arcane Missiles: This spell now only has one chance to trigger Arcane Concentration.
As of patch 1.9, AM was changed to trigger procs multiple times per cast. It is likely this arcane talent was intended to function this way with the only primary arcane damage spell seeing as it had almost no use.
In WotLK when arcane was overhauled, blizz then nerfed it BACK to only triggering on initial cast (as is the case in classic). I believe this is unintended and not the proper vanilla behavior. Blizz pls fix? Let my dreams be real?
I personally feel like it's not, 10% isn't that much and a free spell isn't that big a deal. And to get it I have to skip some decent Frost talents. I'm kinda leaning towards putting the majority of my talent points in Frost, pretty much all talents except Frost Warding (feels useless) and Frostbite (sabotages AoE).

Or is that a bad idea? I'm still pretty new to playing mage.
First let me be clear I did not delete or block a single one of you on Facebook.
It was Facebook I removed myself from about 2012.
I won't name anybody by name 'cause I'm not tryin' to put people out like that but I'd love love love to catch up with any of you.
Going to list in Alphabetical since I think it'll make the most sense to remember.
And I'll post 1 of our old BC Black Temple pics.
I am Andrew: Troll Druid Reechani with the Turtle polymorph which was rare in those days.
I was on point with my CC & that was my main claim to fame but didn't care so much about hittin' high on those meters which did get to be an issue as we pushed into Sunwell so no hard feelings about the benches occasionally.

Hey everyone, so this is the first time I properly level a mage above lvl... well 20. This has also let me to get clearcasting procs (love em), but I sometime forget it, or simply dont notice.
Do any of you know an addon that could help with that??
Cheers and I hope you all have great weekend.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Is there a way to disable the proc sound without disabling the rest of the sound effects? Its way too loud and annoying at least when my headset picks it up.
[[Arcane Concentration]] is an arcane-tree talent that has a chance to reduce mana cost of the next damage spell cast by 100%.
The 5-second-rule determines whether or not you regenerate mana. For 5 seconds after casting a spell that consumes mana you do not regenerate mana from spirit. This triggers the moment mana is deducted--therefore, if you cast [[Frostbolt]], the 5-second-rule starts after the completion of the spell. For channelled abilities, like [[Arcane Missiles]], the mana is deducted at the beginning of the cast.
When casting [[Magic Missiles]] with the [[Clearcasting]] proc (from the [[Arcane Concentration[]] talent), the spell costs zero mana, therefore the 5-second-rule should not be triggered. Other spells, such as [[Frostbolt]] or even [[Pyroblast]] behave correctly when cast with the [[Clearcasting]] proc: they do not trigger the 5-second-rule. However, it appears any channeled spell (including [[Blizzard]]) triggers stops regeneration, even if it costs no mana.
Furthermore, after additional testing, it looks like channeled spells prevent the 5-second-rule from ending. [[Blizzard]] is an 8 second channel. There should be one tick of mana regen after 5 seconds of channeling, however, mana does not tick until all 8 seconds have completed.
It seems like there are 3 types of frost mage specs: PvE, PvP, and AoE. While there are "best" dedicated specs for each of these, I'd prefer not to have to respec constantly, so I'm trying to find a good spec which can do reasonably well at all 3... So with that in mind, here are the requirements I think you need in order to be reasonably good at each of these:
So here's the spec I ended up with: https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/mage/230005--05350233122351051
Does this seem like a good spec? What do you think?
The problem is that I'm 1 talent point short of being able to actually afford the full rank of each of these required talents... As such, I only have 2/3 Improved Blizzard. I was debating taking the 5th point out of Shatter and putting that in Improved Blizzard instead, or maybe even forgoing Cold Snap to get that last point...? But in the end I decided those talents were probably more valuable than 3/3 Improved Blizzard, so that's how I ended up with only 2/3 for that. Does this seem like the right decision?
Looking back through posts on this, there seems to be a lot of back and forth on whether clearcasting (via the arcane talent Arcane Concentration) is based off of per mob hit or if it is based off of per cast of the spell.
Does anyone have a definitive answer on this based on testing done or a blue post?
As the title says, has anyone tested this yet to see if the proc only happens on the initial hit of the first missile or if any procs have occurred on the later missiles in the channel? Thanks :)
