My hubs is considering a job up there. I have a remote job that I hope I can keep, but I do need decent, reliable internet. I read another thread where it was mentioned that internet wasn't all that good, but it was relatively older. Can anyone pitch in? Also, we are familiar with UP winters, but any other info related to life there from folks that live/have lived there is also appreciated.

Will be visiting soon to look at a lakefront property up there. Was happy to see that a lot of the houses are affordable along the Lake Huron and Lake Michigan fronts. I figured it'd also be good to be near a lake with the ongoing droughts as well.

I've heard of a bunch of courses both on the West side and in the U.P. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions in the Cheboygan area. I've been to Silver Mt. in St. Ignace but I'm looking to try something new. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if there was any grocery store delivery services that provide to the town of Cheboygan. Walmart there doesn’t seem to do it, can’t find much info about family fare and shipt and instacart aren’t there yet..

My grandma has been relying on my uncle (who also lives with her) to get grocery’s and daily essentials. He recently had a heart attack and Is scheduled to have heart surgery this week in petoskey. Obviously he will be out of commission for a while. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! I’m in Grand Rapids and not very helpful.
