A list of puns related to "Charmian"
I've had this premise/opening knocking around for a few months, and have taken a break from editing for a bit to go over it and tidy it up.
I'd be interested to see what people think of the setting, character and situation I've established. It's not long, only just over 1000 words.

Thanks.
In 1980, 43-year old Louise Faulkner lived in a flat in St. Kilda with her two-year old daughter, Charmian. Years earlier, Louise had been married with three other children, but her husband filed for divorce after discovering that she was having an affair with a married man named George Sutherland, who was 16 years her senior. Louiseβs ex-husband retained primary custody of the children, but Louise eventually became pregnant with Charmian and claimed that George was the father. Even though George paid Louiseβs maternity bills and was present for Charmianβs birth, he never admitted that she was his child. On April 26, Louise told her neighbour, Corinne Wylde, that she was planning to go on a trip with Charmian to see her βpotato farmer boyfriendβ. Corinne would claim that she saw a white Holden Ute being driven by a βthick set, older Australian maleβ pull up in front Louiseβs flat. After Louise and Charmian climbed inside the vehicle, they were never seen again.
One week later, Louiseβs eldest daughter, Melissiah, and her grandmother went to check Louiseβs flat. Louise struggled with arthritis and often used a walking stick, but it was left behind at the flat, along with Charmianβs stroller. While there were no signs of forced entry, drawers from a bedside table were strewn across the bed and looked like they had been ransacked. Items missing from the flat included a suitcase, some clothing, a TV set George had purchased for Louise, and Charmianβs birth certificate. When Louise was reported missing, police went to question George, who lived on a farm in Parkers Corner. Even though George had divorced his wife, Beryl Sutherland, following the discovery of the affair, they had a reconciliation. While they never officially remarried, Beryl moved in with George on his farm, though George continued his affair with Louise. It turned out that George sometimes worked for a nearby potato farmer who owned a white Holden Ute which George had access to. In spite of this, George denied any involvement in the disappearances and claimed he had not seen Louise or Charmian since March 1980. However, only two months after he was questioned, George surprised everyone by selling off his property at a heavily reduced price. George and Beryl then relocated to the United States to live with their daughter. The couple would spend the next three years travelling through the U.S. while living in a campervan. They made an attempt to apply for permanent residency, but were ultimately

Apparently means "Delight" or "Joy", respectively and is a variation of Charmiane.
