A list of puns related to "Carmelo"
In the past few moments, Carmelo Anthony passed Elvin Hayes to enter the top 10 all time scoring list in NBA history. Melo has scored 27,316 points in his career and counting.
This season alone, Carmelo has passed numerous NBA legends: Tim Duncan (top 5 all time, don't @ me), Hakeem Olajuwon, Oscar Robertson, Dominique Wilkins, and Elvin Hayes.
Carmelo might not even be done this season. Moses Malone, who sits at 9th with 27,409 points, is well within striking distance..

All of these generational players are either on the back end of their primes or close to retirement. It's almost certain that at least a couple of them will finish their careers without ever winning a chip. Which ones are most and least likely to become a champion? Who is prone to ring chasing and who still has it in him to lead their team all the way through?
>"You guys love that fog machine huh? @DetroitPistons"
Lmfaooooo Melo's face in this is priceless
Pistons respond: >Hoodie Melo would have come prepared.

Carmelo Anthony on LaMelo Ball also being called Melo: "LaMelo is going to be in the league for a long time so you might as well use it. For me, it's an honor."
On LaMelo doing the 3 to the dome: "I embrace it. I blessed him. He can do it."
#This includes regular season AND post season points.

10 new cards! Highlighted by DM Carmelo Anthony as the next IDOLS collection card, and a DM Chris Bosh along with him. Are they good? Let's take a look.
DM Carmelo Anthony (SF/SG)
Offense: Melo is an offensive juggernaut. 95 driving dunk, HoF Contact, Relentless, and Slithery. 97 3pt, HoF Catch and Shoot, Corner, Deadeye, Flexible, Range, HZH, Steady. Hot zones everywhere. Playmaking is good, with 93 speed w/ ball, HoF Downhill, Handles For Days, QFS, Unpluckable.
Signatures: Carmelo Anthony base on Quick. Remember, it pulls from the corners on Current-Gen. Pretty awful dribble sigs on him too, with pro 1 size up, pro 5 crossover, and pro 1 BtB. This card has Showtime dunks.
Defense: Fantastic, fantastic defender. 89 interior, 97 perimeter, 97 lateral, 97 steal, 80 block, HoF Clamps, Heart Crusher, Interceptor, Intimidator, Pick Pocket, Gold Chase Down, Rebound Chaser, Pick Dodger.
Tendencies: 100 driving and flashy dunk. Defense tendencies are fantastic, with 97 pass interception, 95 on-ball steal, 90 contest and 95 block shot along with low foul tendencies. 55 take charge could be a problem.
Physicals: At 6'8 with a 7'0 wingspan, he's got great size at the SG. 97 speed and acceleration is great there too.
Player Comparison: I think overall, he's gonna give you similar production that the OOP KD will, but be way more expensive. So, keep that in mind. Next-Gen is a different story since he doesn't pull in from the corners and has HoF Blinders.
Recommended Shoes: Jordan doesn't have any Speed w/ Ball shoes, so it really doesn't matter what shoe you give him. Maybe boost his rebounding, idk.
DM Chris Bosh (PF/C)
Offense: Best stretch big in the game on current-gen. 94 3pt, HoF Catch and Shoot, Corner, Deadeye, Flexible, Green Machine, HZH, Range, Pick and Popper. Hot zones everywhere. His finishing is good too, with a 95 standing and 90 driving dunk, but his badges are alright. HoF Contact, Relentless, Gold Showtime and Slithery. He can move with the ball a bit, with a 86 speed w/ ball, HoF QFS, Downhill, Gold Unpluckable.
Signatures: Jumpshot 29 on Very Quick. Zion's old base, and same as Danny Granger and the Diamond Chris Bosh. It's money on current-gen. Pro 8 Crossover and Pro 6 BtB is really nice for Bosh's driving ability.
Defense: Pretty good defender, not top tier but great. 94 interior, 84 perimeter, 87 lateral, 80 steal, 94 block, HoF Clamps, Intimidator, Rebound Chaser, Rim Protector, Gold Chase Down, Interceptor, Pick
... keep reading on reddit β‘I feel like people have many mixed views on Carmelo. I always either hear hes overrated or underrated. When people say he is overrated they talk about how he has made it out the first round around 3 times in his career and how he was a ball hog and how he plays trash defense and that whole OKC thing.
For underrated I hear how he hasnt had good teams and how good of a scorer he was. And how Before the Nugs drafted Carmelo Anthony, they were in aΒ nine year drought in which they didn't make playoffs. The year before Carmelo joined the Nuggets, they were 17-65. The year after he joined, they made it to the playoffs and went 43-39. And how goodΒ he is in clutch time.
IMO hes a mix of both but i want to know if you think Melo is overrated or underrated?
The other 10 are Kareem, Karl Malone, Lebron, Kobe, Michael Jordan, Dirk, Wilt, Shaq, Moses Malone, and Elvin Hayes. Congrats to Melo for the crazy good career.

Efficiency jokes aside that is good company to be in and it seems like the recent benching's late game by Coach Finch have helped him regain focus. Excite to see what he can improve on over the off-season.

League average TS% is 57.1.
Against the Lakers, 76ers, Knicks, Suns, Heat, Bucks, Grizzlies, Warriors, and Clippers, the young star leading the Utah Jazz seemingly shrivels up and becomes incredibly inefficient. During the playoffs when the game slows down and defenses clamp down, Mitchell and the Jazz could find themselves in big trouble.
What do you think this means for the Jazz who they themselves have the 3rd best defensive rating in the NBA? Is it alright if Mitchell performs in this inefficient manner as long as the Jazz defense holds the other team's star to an equal or less TS%?

Melo the First did it in only 28 minutes as well.
One thinks if Patrick Ewing's end of career time with Seattle as simply check-cashing before retirement, but I think Melo's time in Portland will be a larger part of Anthony's overall career remembrance, at the very least in his eyes. Remember, Melo was out of the league, no team would touch him as he was labeled a prima donna and a locker room cancer. Yet he has resurrected his career in Portland with Dame and CJ, and is playing meaningful minutes and chasing career stat accolades in a Blazers uniform. This will be remembered come HOF time. I'm not saying that he'll enter the hall as a Blazer, but his time here will not be considered the standard end-of-career way station.
Am I the only one who noticed that Carmelo made it into the top 10 all-time scorers? Am I missing something? Am I taking crazy pills?!
RIP CITY FOR LIFE!
Did you know that Nikola Jokic has a 11-2 winning record over Carmelo Anthony. They faced each other a total of 13 times in NBA games.
If Carmelo did indeed return to the Knicks instead of Portland, do you think weβd be better or worse than he are now? Would Randle still be doing what heβs doing? Would we have gotten DRose? Is he an upgrade from Bullock? What you think?
The first time Carmelo Anthony didn't score a point was on 2/6/2018 against the Golden State Warriors
(Disclosure- I recently bought a Carmelo FM) Iβve been looking at some future HOF first moments and came across the fact the Carmelo is 64 points away from being #10 all time on the NBA scoring list and 164 points from number 9. Conceivably passing those 2 (Elvin Hayes and Moses Malone) this season. What an amazing and underrated career.
Just wondering what you guys think. Saw people debating this on twitter. I guess peak Carmelo was 2013? I donβt know.
Carmelo has had numerous times in his career to win a ring. Like i said the Wade and Lebron were ready to fix their contracts in a way to make up a big 3 with Melo and he refused to take less money to join them. Then when he was able to go to a fast raising Chicago team with prime D-Rose he refused to go to Chicago. Can't feel bad for homie.
This is my boy Carmelo. He's one of the best things that has happened in my life and I wouldn't trade him for the world. He was a rescue that I got at 6 months and now we are going on our first year together. Thought this page would appreciate him.
Obviously this moment doesnβt have the depth of rarity as the CP3 All-Star game dunk, as not many moments do. I could be reaching with this evaluation as well but the Series 1 Melo moment holds a unique rarity in itself.
For me, what sets this one apart from the other Top Shot debut moments is that Melo, often seen as a βFossilβ in todayβs game, was the one who put away Toronto.
People have been saying it might be an Idols Pack again so if so then i'm hoping for a Dark Matter Melo. It's been long overdue and I would love to have him on my team but i'm thinking because of recent events in the NBA, Steph Curry or Lamarcus will be given Dark Matter cards.
