A list of puns related to "Calcium Ammonium Nitrate"
i found some calcium ammonium nitrate in my garage in thought i would extract a nitrate salt with i would then use to make nitric acid. how do i go about doing this?i know that you dissolve the fertilizer in water and filter of impurities which would leave me with calcium nitrate and ammonium nitrate dissolved in the water. what do i do then?

I know I should have done these in ventilated areas, but I didn't read the safety rules so did them in a room and kept it in the same room for a couple of hours. I have since had a headache and a dry cough. Going to the hospital is a bit of a hassle so I would like to avoid unnecessary visits. Am I over thinking this? Will this naturally go away? Should I visit the hospital?
I'm feeling a bit lost. Any help would be appreciated!
I found a fertilizer that says it contains: 17% ammonium nitrate 17% nitrate nitrogen
Can i use it for tannerite or is it better to just synthesize it myself?
Hello everyone,
Ammonium nitrate is a compound often used in instant cold packs. When these packs are activated, the ammonium nitrate is dissolved, cooling the water.
Is there any dissolution coolant more effective (that creates a lower temperature in, say, water) than ammonium nitrate? Is there any more effective chemical cooling reaction in general that is favorable at room temperature and reversible as dissolution is?
Thanks and all response is very much appreciated,
Reece

The idea and approach presented in this paper have potential to made hydrophobic surface on the surface of AN particles to become anti-hygroscopicity. and also used in other energetic materials to reduce sensitivity.
