We play at various times, so we want a message board or BBS.
If possible, can be viewed anywhere in the game.
I realize this is a highly specific question.

I've been playing around with a new idea to see if Notion could perform well as a discussion forum or bulletin board system. With its built in commenting and mentions functions, Notion turns out to be a great tool for communication and idea sharing. I think something like this could be useful in a number of different scenarios.
This template is ultra-minimal. I don't think it really needs a lot of bells and whistles, but feel free to build on it and share your ideas back here.

Who here remembers the old BBS systems we had in Dubai. This is when you had to use your telephone line and a modem in your computer to dial up to someoneβs computer. There you got some crazy ASCII art, the precursors to online mmorpg (was called MUD?), messages and shareware (and not) files to download and upload. Then someone picks up the telephone, ruining your download and you get yelled at for hogging up the phone line.
I remember I used to be a regular at one and was trying to download an expansion disk for TIE fighter BWing but had difficulties. The sysop of the board posted me a disk which was an amazing display of kindness to a teenager wanting to play some space sim action. πbut I have forgotten the board name π

tl;dr: I set up a website, https://vbbs.ca, that allows people to post bits of information attached to a map, and to edit and delete each other's posts, like a wiki... a geowiki.
A few weeks ago, I posted my prototype of the vbbs. It was non-functional and just showed people how it would work.
I received mildly positive feedback so in the mean-time I made it real: https://vbbs.ca
There is a ton left to do but I wonder if people will find it useful in it's current state. That'd help me assess whether it's worth spending more time on.
It basically is supposed to be a way for people to communicate what is near them, whether it be on the supply side or the demand side. "I have 3 extra bottles of Tylenol at Scarlet Rd. and Gateway Rd." which shows up on the map; anyone who is near there will see it.
Please let me know if you have any thought at all, or if you can make it look better, or anything else. Thanks!
I teach at a private school for students with emotional disturbances. My goal, as an ELA teacher, is to support them and help them develop as students and well-rounded folks.
Parent-teacher conferences came, parents were singing my praises. βMy son loves English. Loves YOU.β
But none of that matters because I donβt believe in decorating a fucking bulletin board and Iβd rather focus on the needs of my students, trying to address their various levels of ability.
I was told that academics, in our school, are the least important aspect, and that social-emotional and therapeutic supports were more important. Hence, the bulletin board.
I need out of this industry.

I'm thinking of using React.js for the frontend and Django for the backend. Is it the right choice, or should I use something else? Also how should I proceed in making such an application?
