At crossroads cars slow for a red light, then while still red, start to creep forward over the line into the junction past the light and lines until the light turns green and they floor it. I see this regularly driving in kildare. All it would take is someone on the opposite sides to take the corner wide and we have an accident because some clown is in the junction where no normal driver would expect them to be.
On Septemeber 30th 1990, bookmaker Dessie Fox was travelling from his home in Tyrone, Northern Ireland to Kildare, Ireland for a race at The Curragh Racecourse.
On his way, he was ambushed by a gang of armed men driving a red Toyota Carina at Healy Bridge, Prosperous, Co Kildare, He was and shot and died at the scene.
It was believed that money was the motive and whoever killed him did so knowing he'd be travelling with cash - they stole Β£20000. It is also believed this crime was committed by an organised gang.
UPDATE
Now, decades after his murder, two men aged 50 and 61 were arrested in Dublin this morning. One of these men was arrested from Wheatfield Prison.
