A list of puns related to "Bowrider"
Hello!
I am in a position where my father is wanting to give me a 2011 Bayliner 195 Flight Series (19.5 ft Bowrider).I feel super lucky, of course, but my wife and I know we eventually want something with a cabin. The bayliner does have a mounting bar that can be fitted with a plastic covering.
Another thing is while he is giving it to us, he lives in Texas, so it will cost a couple grand to get it here.
My question is how limited would I be with this boat? Does the water have to glass to go out on the Puget Sound with a boat like this? I do use a sea kayak in pretty large wave/winds( properly geared), not that I think thatβs a really a comparison at allβ¦
Selling it to help get the boat weβd eventually want is a thought, but just feels a bit rude.
I leveled them today and it was a breeze of fresh air that this game desperately needed especially in the last couple weeks. They are really good fun and I feel like they get you exactly what they promise with their low leadership cost. This game isnt about making units work, its about running the strongest and most effective units and Im happy for anyone who is enjoying the direction this game is going. Monks are fun ( nobody is looking for fun ) Greyhairs are close to top tier in the right hands, Same with the new t5. Instead of bringing out balanced units they literally bang out " cool " stuff and the stronger the better. I saw people complaining about them because they arent even ready to put effort into the gameplay. Its the armiger/berseker attitude and its just stupid to witness. Anyway I hope you are still enjoying this game and give Bowriders a try if you arent the kinda guy who runs Berserkers/Armigers in 10 out of the last 9 games.
I boated freshwater until twenty or so years ago. Most of it was spent fishing lakes and rivers. I moved to the gulf coast about twenty years ago and spent time on friends larger boats (21'-65'). I've driven offshore but my youngest could do that. I have no experience docking and have very little local inshore knowledge.
I do have a boat lift behind the house that I'll have to modify. It's a straight run down the river into the gulf with no height restrictions (my boat lift has worse clearance). So, I have a place to practice without playing pinball in a marina.
I'm looking at buying a used 29-31' express cabin. I'm really liking the Tiara 2900 Coronet or the 2900 Open. This boat will be used to make sure the family spends as much time on it as I hope and maybe moving to a slightly larger boat in a couple of years. At this point' it's pushing my comfort zone.
Has anyone else made a jump of this size that could offer some feedback. Any info is helpful. Thanks!
I'm taking my parents out for a ride on the erie canal later today. My dad really wants to go through a lock, which I've never even thought about doing before.
Is it normal for people to take a small 19' bowrider through canal lock? Will the lock operators get frustrated putting us through the lock only to have us return a couple hours later? I'm confident in my ability to handle the boat through a lock, just not sure of what the etiquette is for canal locks.
Thanks!
We have a 17 foot 80's bowrider that we're looking at getting a wet slip for. We've spent the past couple years trailering it but we live in a city that makes the trailering time-consuming and difficult. We're already considering joining a boat club and are strongly considering getting a slip now. My question is whether or not it's worth it. The short distance and lack of trailering/launching makes me think we'll use it a lot more. I've never used a wet slip though and don't know if it makes sense with a boat that small. It's freshwater but I also assume we'd need to add some sort of anti-fouling paint. What do you all think? Note: I've looked for other options like lift-slips but there aren't very many available and those that I've found are out of our budget.
My in-laws want to buy a ladder for our 20' I/O bowrider but I'm not sure what kind to buy and where we would attach it. Usually, I've seen them off the back of the swim platform. Our boat has a teak swim platform off the back that flips up. Does anyone have any experience putting a ladder off the back or the side of a boat like ours?
Bow rider has real powerful dps so I feel hard to fight them. What is best?
Awaiting delivery of my new boat which will be stored in dry stack . Its my first boat for sea use . Its a 21ft Bowrider, Four Winns VP IB motor Does anyone have any type of list of stuff/products/cleaning material/ tools - even lists of what you take on your boats would be helpfull! Excluding all saftey items as they are allready on board
Family of 5 with 3 kids under 6. Also like to go out with other family in similar age range. Just sold our 20' Bayliner cuddy cabin as it was getting quite cramped for 9-10 people. Didn't end up using the cuddy as much as we thought - we want more sun/deck space. We regularly go boating with 6-10 people, and would like to maybe even go with 12-14 on occasion (half of the 14 people would be kids).
We use the boat 90% on inland lakes, but once or twice a year venture into Puget sound for an island visit - so pontoon is out of the question.
I 100% want an outboard. Seems like lower maintenance, easier winterization, easier to deal with salt moorage (we will may have to moor in salt for a few years while on the list for freshwater).
Also non-negotiable is a portable potty. Restrooms (or rather the docking required) are often tough to come by on the lakes we use and some of the guests are older/not swimming during the day.
I love the idea of a tupperware type boat. Low maintenance on the interior, plastic everywhere powerwash it down kinda deal. One of my biggest frustrations was trying to keep the plywood floor dry, the mold away, and the ?stringers? not rotting in the few years we owned the 1994.
Swimming off the back, eating lunch and dinner (table(s) are nice), tubing, maybe some water ski in a few years - not serious into wakeboarding.
Bayliner VR6, the DX2200, the Trophy 22 all seem to fit - what would be some good comparables from other brands? We had a great experience with our 90's Bayliner and aren't premium brand type people. We plan to buy and use for ~15-20 years.
I'm planning to buy this winter (or at least get on the list). What should we look for? Any other brands?
I'm thinking 40-50k with trailer - but could go a little higher if necessary to check all the boxes. Not really interested in 100k+ type higher however.
Thanks!
I own a 2001 Chaparral 216 with the Merc 5.0L 250 hp. I have an aluminum 19 pitch prop on it. My top speed seems to be around 40 mph, which seem a little low to me. Any guesses or suggestions? Is this a normal?
Brand new boat. Ordering from the book. When it arrives I would like to do some preemptive maintenance.
Should I do anything with the gel coating?
Apply a certain type of wax? Iβve spent $5,000 a piece paint correcting, ceramic coating and paint protection filming my vehicles. I am willing to do the boat equivalent.
Also are there any clever add-ons to keep the boat looking beautiful? Permanent fenders?
Thank you in advance!
Looking at 3 boats currently.
1999 sea ray signature 23' with 7.4L, corsa captains choice exhaust and trim tabs. Duo prop bravo 3.
2002 four winns horizon 20' 5.0L
2000 crownline 21' 5.0l
All are fuel injected, all are in good shape (minus the seat fabrics, etc). All are within 1500 of each other, with the sea ray on the high end and crownline on the low end
If they all seem structurally sound, which is the best option? I assume they would all be wood transom and stringers?
Im.leaning toward the sea ray as it has the exhaust, big block, trim tabs, bimini top. It also has some nice features the others don't seem to have.
I just just curious if there was any glaring issues in any of those late 90s to early 2000s brands?
I have a 2005 Four Winns H180 LE that I got recently and I've been enjoying it almost daily for the last week and a half. I've had no real issues aside from a temperamental depth gauge. However, yesterday when I went out I noticed a few minutes into the ride that the speedometer wasn't working and the needle was sitting at 0 when Navionics was reading 30Km/h. This went on for about 30-45 minutes until I slowed the boat down and put it in neutral. I was in neutral for maybe a minute or two before carrying on with the return trip to the marina. When I put the boat into gear, I noticed the speedometer started getting a reading again, and worked the whole time back to the marina.
Throughout this ride, the RPM gauge was still getting readings as expected.
I'm wondering if this is a sign of a potential bigger issue that should be looked at and diagnosed now, or if I should leave it until it's a full-time issue.
Anyone use a Garmin Striker 4 on their Bowrider boat? I have a garmin i was thinking of installing on my bowrider. I was wondering if its a well suited budget fishfinder for a bowrider type boat... thanks all
Looking for someone on their 2nd or 3rd boat who already made the mistakes I am afraid of making.
This is my first boat, granted I had one as a kid.
Treat me like a moron. ANY advice is helpful.
Things you do before you leave the launch for the day. Maintenance checks. How you store it (I have a pole barn with a concrete floor).
Hey guys. I am 6β5β 250lbs. Bad back. Need an 18-22 footer. Fits 6 comfortably. 7-8 max would be great. I like a layout that makes laying around fun. Maybe 5 people on the boat sprawled out, no problem.
Likely to purchase something with a 250horsepower mercruiser engine. Also needs to be an inboard engine. I need a swim pad!
Loved every seat on the Bayliner VR5. Only sat in one in the show room. Missing back-facing seats, but not a deal breaker. Plus I have a local dealer here in Cincinnati.
The Glastron GTS 185 is just awful. Looked cool online, but cheap drivers seat, along with everything else. Drove 4 hours to see one. THANK GOD that was the same dealer that introduced me to the VR5 (so not a complete waste).
Regal 1900 looks beautiful, but I cannot find one in real life.
