A list of puns related to "Boot Related"
I mean, I felt so, so bad for the guy. I know heβs trying to but man, The Flash has really fun itβs course on TV, and seeing this poor guy have to pretend to be excited that The Flash is getting gold boots during DC Fan Dome. Likeβ¦ they literally had nothing to show and knew it! Him just trying to remain professional but slowly dying inside is just, I feel so bad for laughing, but goddamn, it was too funny. Ayo grant, youβre my boy, but WB did you dirty sending you out there like that hahahaha
Any recommendations on 'the best' urban/ trail boots? Might end up doing some back country hiking and I am an avid gardener, so a general purpose boot (urban SHTF) that could accompany me to the range or the back yard? It has been a long-time since I bought boots -my last pair were steel-shanked clodhoppers that weighted a ton un-muddied (can you say F U D D)...
Please remove if not appropriate/ on point. Cheers - HD
1 - I'm having trouble with 5.15 (systemmd won't let me shutdown) and I've read through a couple guides for rolling back to the 5.14 but I can't figure out exactly what I'm supposed to do.
2 - I started getting these notices at boot:
1.167205 sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Asking for cache data failed
1.1672111 sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
1.6163981 sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Asking for cache data failed
1.6465261 sd 1:0:0:0 [sdb] Assuming drive cache: urite through
I reinstalled Windows 11 today, and I knew I'd need to re-add the POL registry keys before it would launch. I have the game stored on a secondary SSD and I added the install directories for POL and FFXI into the registry, but it says it cannot find nor access them. I've restarted my PC many times. Any thoughts?

FIXED: Instead of making nodes where I was, I had to make them at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PlayOnlineUS I assume this is because I'm on a 64bit OS. Cheers if this helps anyone else in the future!
I have seen few sites. Either they look bit sus or prices are incorrect.
I work as a fundraising database coordinator for a nonprofit, but want to transition to something a little more challenging, interesting, and better-paying. I'm a liberal arts graduate with no CS/IT/business training, but the work I do now has given me an interest in data analytics, broadly speaking. So I search for training in data, and lo I find a university-based, online "data analytics boot camp" (https://bootcamp.du.edu/data/). It purports to teach a lot of the skills/languages that I hear are important in this field -- SQL, VBA, Python, Tableau, etc. I don't think this kind of program is very cheap, but I'm willing to invest if it leads to a good career path, since I'm not making much as it is.
But a skeptical part of me wonders, "Is this some cash-grab trying to capitalize on the 'big data' trend? Do people with little previous related experience actually get hired based on a boot camp like this?" The universities and companies running these programs can tell me whatever they want about how it'll "jump-start my career" and make me super marketable as a potential employee, but I don't know if I can only take their word for it.
Does anyone out there have any experience or insights into outcomes of something like a "data analytics boot camp"? Did it get you hired? Does your company hire a lot or any people who have done them? Or isit better for mid-career advancement and augmentation of existing business/CS skills? Or is it little more than a scam in the end?

My friend booted his pc after being away for a few days and it wouldn't boot. We diagnosed it to be an issue with his ram and after reseating it, the computer booted fine. It has since happened multiple times (not every boot), reseating fixes it. We were wondering if anyone has suggestions on what can be done to resolve this issue as its a bit of a faff.
Recently bought g15 from BestBuy updated all of the drivers and turned off annoying ROG boot sound in ARMOURY CRATE. After rebooting the laptop speaker started to sound weird (felt like only subs are working). Had no clue why is that tried reinstalling Realtek drivers did not help. But that accidently I discovered that if I have boot up sound on, either in ARMOURY CRATE or as a BIOS setting, speakers work properly.
Any ideas why is this happening and how to fix it?
I am currently working on how to enable secure boot. My finding so far is that I should switch from GRUB to systemd-boot. Besides that, questions arose about rolling out the keys to the EFI.
So far I used sbctl
to roll out the keys and sign the efi files. The advantage of this is that the files are automatically re-signed during an update. But now I have the following problem: I have to add Microsoft's certificates, otherwise I can't reach the Bios anymore ("making it impossible to get into the UEFI/BIOS settings to rectify the situation. This is due to the fact that some device (e.g GPU) firmware is signed using Microsoft's key"). So my plan is to first create all the keys according to the wiki and add the Microsoft certificates. After that I enroll the keys as it is described in the wiki. Then I find a way to create these pem-files that are needed by sbctl from any file that was generated from the wiki.
sbkeysync --verbose
and sbkeysync --verbose --pk
? Or does sbkeysync
handle this for me and it's OK to have two auth files in the PK folder?sbctl
in the future, I have another question. For now sbctl
created a keys folder with subfolders db, KEK and PK. All of them contain a key-file and a pem-file. When I followed the wiki, I also created those key-files. But it seems like sbctl
uses these pem-files. Which files that I generated from the wiki can be converted to these pem-files, in order to use sbctl in the future?I asked him when I would receive my final pay in my resignation notice and he removed me from the app before responding to me. This is exactly the reason why a DSP can SUCK my DICK! This is also the reason why I chose to not give a 2 week notice. These people will BOOT you in a heartbeat. Iβm really hoping he waits as long as possible to submit my final hours so that I can file a claim with the CA state labor board. CA law states the following:
βIf an employee quits without giving advance notice, the employer must provide the final paycheck within 72 hours. If an employer misses the deadline, the employee is entitled to a waiting time penalty of one day's pay for each day the employer is late, up to 30 days.β
Please research your own states laws regarding this issue if you find yourself in a similar situation. Knowing your rights as an employee is key to protecting your own personal rights and wellbeing.
I was trying to use the supposed synergy between these two exotics but thinking that I just wasn't getting Noble Rounds very often, making it not worth it compared to carrying a better exotic weapon (maybe that's still true). But what I've realized is that when standing in the healing rift, I almost always have: Healing Rift, Extended Rift, and Benevolent Dawn buff texts. Noble Rounds seems to have lower priority than all three of those, so even when I have the Noble Rounds it won't show me the text.
If you're like me and rarely hip fire, you're not going to find out by accident either.
So if you tried this combo and didn't feel like using Lumina added anything to Boots because you weren't getting Noble Rounds, you might want to take another look. It's not ideal to not know whether you have the Noble Rounds, but if you're healing people with the rift then you probably do.
Iβm working on a POE related programming project, had a quick question
Hello,
I am currently taking a coding boot camp and have decided to do something related to POE for one of the solo projects. Basically the idea is to check the current exchange rates of various currencies and math out the most optimal flipping patterns. My question here is, what would be the best source online for me to pull exchange rates from? I have a pretty good idea of how everything is going to come together once I have those exchange rates.
Thank you very much for any and all help!
EDIT: in the interest of clarity I am aware of Poe.ninja. What I want is currency exchange rates in currencies other than chaos. Like chroma to divines or something. Basically I want to figure out if you can change from one currency to another, then change that into another, etc then back into the first and make a profit.
I'm reading a lot and trying to absorb what I can. I've been posting some of the boots I inherited from my Papaw, and the most recent pair I posted got me thinking.
I referred to them as 'full quill' ostrich, but I dont know if that's really correct. In watches, terms such as Calatrava, railroad watch, rare, and jewels are often misused and misunderstood.
So, are there things you see in posts that make you shake your head? Things people need to be corrected on constantly?
