Iโm selling my Bessa R3A that I just got back from a viewfinder and focus patch alignment. Shutter speed is true and the camera is reliable and in very good condition with very little sign of wear or use even on the rubber grips . All light seals are intact, light meter works accurately, shutter is in great condition and viewfinder is crystal clear. Has 40/50/75/90 frame lines.

So after finally saving up enough to get a good quality rangefinder. I'm looking for a good M mount camera for 35mm.
I mostly shoot 35 or 50 for street photography so I was leaning towards a Leica m2 or a Voigtlander Bessa R2. Which one would you recommend ?

Iโm in the early stages of research, but I have an itch for a quality rangefinder. Iโd like the camera to have:
- built in light meter
- great viewfinder
- interchangeable lens
- cost (with a lens) $1500 or below
So far the two main contenders are the Voigtlander Bessa R2a and Minolta CLE. The Minolta seems to be a great compact size and more affordable in that price range, with a great 40mm f/2 lens. But Iโm a bit concerned about the 35+ year old electronics at the end of their service life.
Iโve considered and ruled out the Hexar RF or anything from Leica.
Iโve read as much as I could on the internet, YouTube, etc. Iโd love to hear opinions if you have them? Thanks!

Hello! This Bessa R2M is in great condition. The light meter is non-functional, which is the way itโs been since I got it. Everything feels solid in the hands and all the dials and shutter curtain work well. The lens has always had a clear UV filter so the glass is in very good condition but the manual focus ring does make a scratching noise due to sand getting trapped from a trip to a sandy area. Itโs a beautiful lens and it feels right at home on a Bessa so Iโd like to keep it together with the body.

Selling my beloved Voigtlander Bessa R2A. This thing is a blast to use and produces amazing pictures. Everything works properly and the light seals do their job well. All the glass is clean and the lens filter hasn't been taken off the lens since the original owner put it on (except for cleaning).
The only issue that stands out is some glue on the front of the camera. I don't know how strong the glue is or if you can remove/dissolve it, but I don't even want to try and risk messing something up. However, the glue uglyness gets covered up completely by the leather case, so the camera retains its sexyness with the case on. The leather (next to the glue marks) is coming up a tiny bit, but it should hold for a long while. The case is nice and feels good in the hand.
rangefinder is big, bright, and dead accurate. all buttons work properly and click nicely.
Asking for $2200 $1700. The price is negotiable and net to me. Shipping to CONUS only. Don't be afraid to PM or chat me, as I am inclined to let this camera go.

I just got a secondhand Bessa R2A that unfortunately has a viewfinder focusing patch that gets "stuck" - it usually doesn't move when I focus any lens I've tried. The rest of the camera seems to work fine.
I'd reach out to CameraQuest but their repair page says that they're not currently accepting new repairs due to the pandemic. Anyone know of anyone else / any other repair shop I should try? Thanks!
