I was quite suprised to be the only person in the entire building that had a mask on in court today. This includes judges, probation officers and even my public defender. Im really not the mask shaming type, but im wondering if anyone has some ideas of who I could contact to report this kind of oversight? It seems like the most exposed type of place--They get a new group of people, twice a day, shuffling through those doors from all over the area and sitting next to each other. I was flabbergasted that government employees would not only allow this, but expose themselves to it as well.
Drove down Berea at about 12:35 and came upon what looked like one truck having forced another into the side of a building. Lots of law enforcement at the scene, but many not in standard uniforms. Anyone have an idea of what happened?

Recently it was brought to my family attention that Berea is considered unsafe. That the crime record is horrible! I have a general store in the area, and want to help the community decrease there reputation of crime. What are things I can do to assist the cummunity ?
I moved to Kentucky in 2014 (originally from Nashville) and have struggled to find people to hang out with for the last several years, even before the pandemic.
After nearly 8 years, I still only have like 3 local friends here because I work from home and am in my 30s and an introvert, so I don't go out doing... whatever it is younger, extroverted people go out and do. I'm married and we don't have kids so that's two fewer reasons to leave the house. (I'm just looking for platonic friends, on that note.)
But I do like going out sometimes (safely, with the pandemic still ongoing) and enjoy having people to BS with online while I'm at home. I don't know how people make new local friends as adults so I'm posting here.
Things I like: Movies (esp. horror movies) Writing PC and occasional console gaming (VR too) Creepy stuff, basically anything horror related
Interesting things about me: I've published two books I collect NES games, Stephen King hardcovers, and Ouija boards I have a bunch of cats I work in the tech industry
