A list of puns related to "Beaumont"
Three children disappeared from Glenelg Beach, South Australia, on January 26, 1966, and it became one of the most well known unsolved Austrailian cases.
9-year-old Jane Nartare, 7-year-old Arnna Kathleen and 4-year-old Grant Ellis Beaumont were the children of Grant βJimβ Beaumont, a former serviceman and a driver for Suburban Taxis, and Nancy Beaumont. They got married in December in 1955, and lived at 109 Harding Street, Somerton Park, a suburb from Adelaide. Their house was close to Glenelg Beach, a popular beach.
The three siblings had visited Glenelg Beach on January 25, when their father, Jim, dropped them off before going on a three-day sales trip to Snowtown. Jane, the eldest child, was considered responsible enough and it was socially acceptable at the time to just let your kids go on their own. The three siblings wanted to go again on January 26, 1966, which also happened to be Australia Day. It was too hot to walk so they took the bus at 8:45 am. It was only a five-minute, three-kilometre bus trip. They were expected back home on the 12 pm bus, but they werenβt on the bus. They werenβt on the 2 pm bus either. Their worried mother, Nancy, called Jim who quickly returned from his trip. At 3 pm he drove to the beach, looking for his children. When he couldnβt find them, he returned home. Jim and Nancy started to search the streets and go to friendβs houses. They notified Glenelg Police Station around 5:30 pm.
Arnna had told their mother that Jane had gotten a βBoyfriend down at the beachβ though their mother thought she meant playmate, and took no further notice until their disappearance.
Police quickly organized a search of the beach and areas close-by, based on the assumption that the kids simply had lost track of time and had lost track of time. The search expanded to include the sand-hills, ocean, and nearby buildings including the airport, rail lines, and interstate roads being monitored due to a beginning fear of a kidnapping or an accident having taken place.
The whole nation was aware of the case within the 24 hours and Sunday Mailβs headline on January 29 was βSex crime noew fearedβ. The Patawalonga Boat Haven was also drained on January 29 after a woman had told police she had had a conversation with the children matching their description near the haven on January 26.
The initial award was 250 Australian pounds. (Australian pounds was the currency from 1910 until

This is probably more of a venting post, but, my roommate has had a number of emergency room visits to Beaumont hospital this week, totaling in over 24 hours of being there in the past 5 days. They have spent a majority of this time simply waiting to seek care, while he has been vomiting up blood. When speaking to nurses, they stated something along the lines of "since Beaumont has posted the ads that 'we're at a breaking point', the number of visits has dramatically decreased." As a result of this, the number of staff available also decreased. With the decreased staff wait times have increased even as the number of patients coming in plummeted.
This is all second-hand anecdotal information from his partner who has been a huge help in navigating the hospital system while repeatedly sticking up for him due to inadequate care. My roommate has been vomiting for 14 days and has not been able to keep even the medication down. He was put on 5 new meds and while in the hospital his heart rate started to drop, from about 60 bpm slowly to 50 and eventually down to 45. When the alarm started to beep the nurses came in to mute the alarm stating "oh shut up" in the process, and later stating "im sure he is fine" when his partner brought up the concern outside the room. Their solution is to now go to Henry Ford, where a friend of a friend has promised to try and see him and actually get him proper treatment. Why has it come to this? Beaumont also has pushed the narrative that he is a drug addict and these issues are his fault therefore he is simply suffering the consequences. The issues have allegedly been marijuana-related, but he has a med card and followed all the instructions, and ceased smoking but symptoms have not improved. He is in a world of pain, from his stomach to his chest, and has spent much of the weekend in the bathtub.
I know that staff members are also at a breaking point, but how can a decrease in patients lead to an increase in wait times? where does that make sense?
fuck this healthcare system, which hasn't prioritized nurses since the pandemic has started except for calling them heroes, writing them off like soldiers who will inevitably be taken off the battlefield.
Fuck profit over people.

d'Eon is an elusive spy who is in the secret service of King Louis XVI in the story "Queen Mary. He has more than once bailed Mary out of difficult situations, and the dialogue with him has always been fascinating, judicious, and witty.
The playful d'Eon has a real historical prototype - Charles d'Γon de Beaumont. Charles was a French nobleman and secret agent who belonged to the diplomatic network of the "Secret du Roi" (Secret of the king) established under Louis XV.
For forty-eight years of his life, d'Eon lived as a man, and thirty-four years as a woman. Despite his frail physique, d'Eon was considered one of the best swordsmen of his time.
The personality of Charles d'Eon is accompanied by many legends, so according to one of them, the Countess de Rochefort offered him to participate in a practical joke - dressed as a woman, Charles went to a masked ball, where Louis XV did not suspect anything all evening paying attention to a stranger. When the turned out that he was enchanted by the Chevalier d'Γon, the King, after a few unpleasant moments, decided that such a man - just a godsend for "Secret du Roi".
Another legend has it that the "Secret du Roi" sent d'AΓ©on to Russia, entrusting him with the task of reorienting Russia toward France. During his visits to St. Petersburg he operated under two identities: first, he posed as "Mademoiselle Lia de Beaumont," and then as her "brother," the secretary of the French embassy. Some historians claim that "Mademoiselle Lia de Beaumont" was invited as a reader in the bedroom of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.
It was after her death that d'Γon's secret was finally revealed. The physician who examined the body of the deceased in his notes indicated that d'Eon was an ordinary man.
Charles d'Γon is the main character in the novel Pen and Sword by Valentin Pikul, appears in the game Assassin's Creed Unity as part of a secondary mission, offering the main character to fight "the best duelist in Paris", is mentioned in the song "Sans contrefaΓ§on" by French singer Milen Farmer, and many movies and theater productions are devoted to him.

So up until a few months ago I had no idea what scrap yards were.
I knew they existed in the sense that I knew that junk cars had to go somewhere, but not that there were people who bought up scrap cars and let people go just rip the parts off of them.
So I ask you what is your place of interest that you wish you knew we had.
Never seen so many cops in my life. PD was there, sheriff's were there, CHP was there, even the US Marshall's were there. Supposedly some guy who's been on the run for a while and was allegedly camping in the badlands wanted some Del Taco and got his ass got.
I listened to an interesting podcast on the disappearance of the Beaumont children about a year ago. I've tried to search it but there are dozens of true crime podcasts that cover this event - for those unfamiliar, the Beaumont children disappeared at a beach in Australia in the 60s and it has been a cold case ever since.
The podcast I'm looking for was over an hour, it had a man and a woman host, I believe it was a Black man and a white woman, and I listened directly on their website but can't find it in searching because I don't remember what their podcast was called - there are so many true crime podcasts, but this one was especially good and I hope to find it and save it this time. Thanks!
How is day to day life in the Beaumont area? Crime, family friendliness, schools? Is it welcoming to newcomers? I see a lot of development happening especially in terms of housing. Currently live in the LA area looking for more space for my family (we are a young family with a toddler). Iβve considered Murrieta/Menifee/Temecula and Victorville but they are too far from work opportunities for me. I work in a highly specialized field. I donβt have the luxury of working from home right now but would like to in the future.
If anyone can provide insight on Beaumont and the areas surrounding it, that would be great. Thanks!
Specifically the royal oak locations. My wife tested positive and Iβm under the weather and I need results to stay home or return to work. If not does anyone know other locations? Everything seems to be booked for an appointment until next week
I'd like to ask a few questions about what you remember.
Do you remember rumors that it was caused by something other than "An electrical storm in Alabama"?
Did anyone ever mention the idea that a "black cat" had somehow caused the power outage?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I say Alabama but I mean Arkansas. Two of the articles Iβve read say Alabama for some odd reason.
With zero leads, police never found a suspect or the children, and to this day could never confirm what happened.
