I used to buy car magazines every month. I never missed. Today I was at the grocery store in the magazine aisle and it occurred to me that I can't remember the last time I bought a paper car magazine. I bet it's been more than 5 years.
And so it made me wonder, are those companies still profitable? By the time I see it on the cover of a magazine, I've seen 20 videos about it and listened to a podcast. I also never really go to car and driver.com Maybe once in a while but they used to be my bible. Same with Automobile.
Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, but I came across hundreds of “Antique Automobile” magazines/brochures. They go as far back as the 1960s as far as volumes go. Are these worth anything? Is this anything of significance? Most are still in the plastic protector. See picture below

This is a scan from a July 1993 edition of What Car? discussing about "Do you really need diesel?", 25 years before the issue of diesels in cars was a major thing.
Now, 25 years on, FIAT, Nissan, Toyota are all discontinuing diesel cars.
I'm interested to know - when have you read an article and then thought nothing of it at the time, but the content of the article retroactively becomes a big issue?
