Wrong Artistic Proportions of the 3D Character Portraits
Dear developers,
I know that Vicky 3 is still in development, and all presented screenshots represent work in progress, but I really want to pay your attention to one of the details that really worries me as a person with art education.
The thing is that all the presented 3D portraits in the game have the same issue: the head in your models is always too big relative to the corps to be realistic. For example, the French clergyman's portrait looks like a child with mustaches due to his enormous head; and a bright light chosen for the scene makes the head even bigger. As a result, an in-game 3D portrait creates an uncanny valley effect or is just weird-looking, incompatible with a chosen 'realistic' style. The same issue might be relevant for all presented portraits in the game.
It seems to me that some early screenshots from CK3 had the same problem, and it was fixed later.
Dear developers, please, pay attention to the above point, and if you consider that if you find my remarks are suitable, fix the problem.
Example:
https://sun9-6.userapi.com/impg/JwC2rSddG_64O-d-KZPvu1Aiy-iKROlpr3WJBw/nIchGWMnEOw.jpg?size=687x431&quality=96&sign=77743614fc4db97746a96dc39ca9904f&type=album
P.S. My photoshop is not very precise, but at least I have tried to give you a general idea. A jawline, head width, eye size, and general corps proportions are not correct regarding each other and relative to shoulders and corps.
P.P.S.

Just a little shout-out to all my fellow pear-shaped and long-legged yogis. You probably have stronger core and hip flexor muscles due to the extra weight! Body proportions matter, keep that in mind and be proud of yourself :) feel free to share some love for other body proportions in the comments!

A little study I did a few weeks ago. Itβs been a long day but Iβm trying to get a better understanding of shapes and forms. I think it would be great if the viewer could judge if the proportions of the body were correct. Iβm not sure how to correct it but I want it to look cool.

Sometimes I'll get a shot where I personally feel like I look proportionally female. Slim waist, a believable upper body to lower body ratio, etc. etc. This is one of them. I wish I could un-see the male proportions in most my pics. Just gotta keep working at it.

Greetings. I am studying the body proportions of an artist in order to get closer to the way he does it. And I need feedback if I'm getting closer or not and what I need to adjust to get even closer. I will leave it here as restricted until now. And I will also leave the references and studies.

How Important Are Body Proportions in Yoga? (Yoga International article)
I did a search and did not find this article, so forgive me if this link is a repost.
This is an article by Jenni Rawlings for Yoga International. Frankly, I think it should be required reading for any yoga instructor, as well as any yoga practitioner (especially those who give advice to others about their form). Imagine how much frustration is caused by having people glibly tell you that all you need to do is this or that to achieve a certain posture or depth, when those people don't have sufficient understanding of how much variation there is in human anatomy, or how that variation (e.g. relative length of arms, torso, and legs) directly affects how a given body can approach a given posture. No amount of stretching is going to change the length of your leg bones compared to the length of your arm bones.
Too many teachers see their bodies as the default and only offer cues that are meaningful to bodies with proportions like their own. Of course people start from their own personal experience in their own bodies, but that's where training should come in to expand their awareness of what each posture is like in other bodies. I sincerely hope that yoga teacher training programs will do a better job of incorporating this topic into the curriculum so that more teachers will have the basic awareness and the compassion to be more inclusive in the way they teach so that they and their students can use this knowledge to inform their expectations of what to push and what to modify. Skipping this can leave students confused, discouraged, and unfairly feeling like they are at fault for not trying hard enough.
Excerpt:
>Perhaps you can think of a certain difficult yoga pose that youβve been working on for a long time, but, despite your efforts, at some point it just seemed like you stopped making progress. You've sought advice from your teachers and asked your yoga friends for their insightful tips, but this specific asana still appears to be eluding you.
>
>There is another often-overlooked influence on practice that is decidedly beyond our ability to change: the issue of individual body proportions.
>
>This can be a perplexing experience because we are often taught that any yoga pose is possible to βachieveβ if we simply practice long enough and with the right level of dedication. And certainly if we are diligent practitioners we can work to cultivate more strength, flexibility, and coordination in our poses. But there is anoth

What's wrong with human male hands proportions to the other parts of the body?
I've always knew something is wrong with this model, so I went to the barber to check it out.
How are people ok with fact that human hands are bigger than their heads? (lets put the comically large sleeves topic aside for now) Just look at these

Artists have always used canons of proportion, but not for the reasons you may think. Using them to get a figure to 'look right' is probably the newest, and most boring, reason to use one.
