A list of puns related to "Zhu Ju"
Hey r/ChineseLanguage, I was wondering if anyone has any tried and true methods for improving their ability to hear the difference between the easily confused sounds listed in the title. I feel like I've learned enough to somewhat accurately PRONOUNCE these sounds based on tongue placement etc, but I've made enough listening transcription mistakes based on this at this point to feel like i'm still mostly guessing or using context when it comes to recognize them in my listening practice (e.g. Glossika). I'm intermediate (passed HSK5) level and mostly self-taught. I've got a job and a family and not enough time for a private teacher so app / other self directed methods are strongly preferred, but I'm interested in how others have solved this problem.
Any professional stone lovers can tell me more about this? What you have used it for. Likes and dislikes.
It seems like a hoax. Beautiful though.
So Seventeen just dropped the audio kit for Rock With You for carats to produce their own music โจ
Caratland is full of life right now and I'm also brimming with excitement that I need to make a compilation of all these amazing creations lol.

... keep reading on reddit โกI don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Hey there non-Chinese speaking friends, I came by a stranger on YouTube wishing they knew what the lyrics to the opening meant and I realised there were no official translations onlineโฆyet. I wanted to spread some love and show the lyrics to the full song. They really reflect Sevenโs character in S3 very beautifully, itโs a song with pretty intense/dark prose. Just with any other language, there are some phrases which are difficult to fully translate into English, and I translated as best as I could. Chinese speaking friends please feel free to correct me or suggest better translations of phrases.
Song title is pronounced โAn Ying Ci Keโ in Pinyin (romanization).
Lyrics:
In English, โpoeticโ translation:
(Stanza 1)
Fierce winds and rains
Canโt stop my determination to advance
A shocking awakening from a dream
And Iโm shrouded in darkness
Looking for the light
(Bridge)
I have not forgot the past
And I never bring it up
A lonely silhouette viewed from behind;
Whoโs life has it taken away?
(Chorus)
I want to escape
But I am already trapped
And Iโm afraid itโs hard to forget
I want to go back
But I have already fallen to the bottom
And I awaken in the abyss
Calling for a miracle
(Stanza 2)
Challenging fate
Starting a game of swordplay in light and shadow
In the bitter cold winds
I hide myself in the disorienting mists
Awaiting my next chance

I watched ATLA as a child (and still to this day), but somehow didn't even know LOK existed until I was in hs. I tried to watch it then, but I hated it and only got through S1 and part of S2. However, I think I didn't like it then cause I was sad Aang was dead and it was a whole new group lol. After many years, I decided to watch it again and give it a fair chance because I watched a lot of clips of the season 3 villains on Youtube and they were supper cool. I ended up enjoying it a lot more than the first time around. I think LOK has a lot of things I liked and a lot of things I didn't like, but I am glad I watched it.
Things I liked:
What I didn't like:
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐

Edit: I've added some info that I know (they may not be accurate). Correct me if I'm wrong.
Initially I thought 2022 would be the year of BL-adapted 101, seeing the popularity of the 3 generations of BL-adapted dramas (Guardian, The Untamed, Word of Honor), their actors and investors all rushing to film more. But it turns out 2022 is likely the year of BG Xianxia & Fantasy. I just realized that there are so many of them currently in making. If all are aired, we'll be watching them for the whole year and more. ๐
Will one of them be the dark horse? Are you interested in some of them?
Song of the Moon starring Vin Zhang and Xu Lu. Currently being screened. It is likely to be aired at the end of this year or the start of the next. It's a romance with three worlds, three lives type of setting.
Cang Lan Jue (Parting of Orchid and Demon King) starring Dylan Wang, Yu Shuxin. Has wrapped up filming in June. It's about a Demon King and a girl who switch bodies.
Bonds of This World starring Angelababy, Ma Tianyu. Has wrapped up filming in February. It seems to be about a master and her disciple.
Hua Rong starring Guo Junchen, Ju Jingyi. It'll finish filming in about a month. It's about the love story between a female phoenix and sun deity in three lives three worlds.
The Blue Whisper starring Dilreba, Allen Ren. Has wrapped up filming in June. It's about the love story of demon master and merman.
Agarwood Like Crumbs starring Yang Zi, Cheng Yi. It'll wrap up filming in a month. The drama has changed the SML of the novel to the ML. So not sure about how the story will be after the adaptation. But from the trailer, it's pretty angsty.
Back From the Brink starring Hou Minghao, Zhou Ye. It's about the ML, a dragon, seeking revenge with the help of the FL.
Love When the Stars Fall starring Chen Xingxu, Li Landi. Has just started filming. It's the final part of the honey triology (Ashes of Love, Skate Into Love, Love When the Stars Fall). It's about the story between a demon girl and the son of the heaven emperor.
Mirror: Twin Cities starring Li Yifeng, Yukee Chen. Has wrapped up filming last year. It's adapted from a famous fantasy book. It's about a merman and a tribal girl and their adventures and quests.
The Longest Promise starring Xiao Zhan, Ren Min. Has wrapped up filming in August. It's about the story of a master and his disciple.
Chong Zi starring Jeremy Xu, Yang Chaoyue. It's about to fini

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
