A list of puns related to "Yuppies (film)"
https://twitter.com/englishradical/status/1480976156346269696?s=21 Great quote from Scargill. He's got a complicated legacy, especially after the miners strikes of the 80's but he was undoubtably a socialist and it's always good to remember the left's history
I've googled around and I can't find the name of this movie I saw a while back.
It was about a group of yuppies in their late teens or early twenties having a get-together. This red-headed guy, who was poor, somehow gets pulled into the group and there's some minor drama when they find out he's poor.
Thanks in advance.
I used to aspire to be one of them. I donβt know, they strike me as overly rigid, paranoid about status, canβt enjoy the nuances of life, intolerant of anything alternative, not open-minded, one-dimensional, and ....whoop! Solipsistic and boring. Okay have a nice day hobos, hereβs an orange π
What's up my fellow yups, we enjoy yuppie jabronios here right? Well today I was at the autozone asking for some blinker fluid and eating my Jabronios and the owner called me a "cracker yuppie fuck." I shot back by saying that he'll never have as much crypto money as I do. He then got mad and I told him he was a jealous no-coiner and he then beat the shit out of me and stole my wallet. Moral of the story Jabronios is fucking sick this is coming from a yuppie cracker fuck.
It starts with a man at a bus stop. A yuppie approaches him and asks the man "been here long?" A lot of confusing back and forth, the yuppie decides to take a taxi that magically appears behind him. It's an old fashioned black car in which he gets in and the man at the bus stop is now apparently the driver and asks him "you been here long"? As they drive away there's a symbol on the back of the car that looks like an upside down scythe.
It's a hella good short film and used to be featured on Talantis Films on YouTube back in 2007 or so. Help?
Throughout this whole ordeal, the one thing I've realized is that most people holding GME, are doing it for a few reasons. One reason is to stop these hedge fund POS's from gaming the system, and screwing over the little guy yet again.
Another reason is the companionship. I know I know, I'm getting all mushy here. This happened during a pandemic, where most people have been isolated for a while. People are clamoring for connection and this is a BIG connection.
Lastly, it's to make MONEY. We all want to make enough money to do/buy whatever it is our heart desires. With how the crypto market TANKED today, I truly believe that the $600 billion the hedge funds needed to deposit, came from that market. For too long, the hedge funds have treated the stock market as their personal atm, withdrawing at will. They know they are "too big to fail", so they continue to do their illegal shit. Now they are trying to dip into crypto.
I propose that after the MOASS happens with GME, we start focusing on groundbreaking companies that can change the world. Companies that are close to finding cures for cancer, alzheimers and more. Companies that focus on environmentally safe products. With how we gave banded together for a company we all love(GME), I can only imagine what we could accomplish if we got behind a company like Editas, or Inivio. These are just examples, I would love to get a discussion going for other companies.
I truly believe that the millions of us apes around the world can change the world for the better. Hedge funds have long plagued our society, and its time to take back control. No more fucking around! To the moon!!!π€π€π€π€π€
