A list of puns related to "Your Wilderness (The Pineapple Thief album)"
Hello everybody. I thought that it might be a good idea to inject a different type of discussion into this sub. Every other Monday (alternating with the Song Discussion) we'll discuss an album (studio or live) that has ties with a member of Porcupine Tree (including Wes and Chris). This means everything from Bass Communion to PT to ORK to Dizrhythmia can be picked. My goal is to spark some new discussion.
Background Information:
The Pineapple Thief's 11th studio album, Your Wilderness, released in 2016, sees the band returning to its progressive roots. On Your Wilderness, Bruce Soord has hired several special guest performers. These include drummer Gavin Harrison, a four-piece choir, Geoffrey Richardson (Caravan) who arranged and recorded the string sections, Darran Charles (Godsticks) who contributed additional electric guitar work, and John Helliwell (Supertramp) who provides clarinet.
Lyrically, Your Wilderness follows the journey of a parent and child and chronicles love, fear, estrangement and, ultimately, reconciliation as their lives unfold.
The album was recorded, mixed and engineered at Soord Studios in Somerset and was produced by The Pineapple Thief (with the exception of the drums, which Gavin Harrison produced & engineered).
Gavin Harrison on the album: "It's a really good record."

Before I say anything at all, I was looking through the subreddit for previous questions of this sort, and I was noticing a bit of a trend for The Pineapple Thief (Your Wilderness, for instance, coming up again and again).
A bit of background: Somewhere, sometime, I assume on this sub, the album Variations on a Dream was suggested. And I listened through that today. It was.... lackluster, to say the least. Especially given the praise that I have long heard for them, it was a bummer (this was my first real The Pineapple Thief experience).
Very glad to take the most recent releases to heart, as well as One Three Seven (also suggested in that thread), even if it is stylistically similar to Variations, which to be honest I found to be one of the least progressive, least interesting "progressive" suggestions I've heard in a while... which is frustrating lol.
I wanted to give the band a fair shake before I just threw them to the side as a complete waste of my time. Appreciate it.
I had someone put me onto this album and I want more! I am not versed in Pop Punk or Easycore so not really sure where to go from here. Any recommendations?
I love in exile. One of my favorites by them. I really like our mire, more specifically I LOVE the last minute. Looking for more songs like this. I already listen to porcupine tree, tool, Pink Floyd (yes theyβre a little different but you know what I mean lol) and riverside. Looking for new artists I havenβt heard. Thanks so much
