A list of puns related to "Yawning Glacier"
Hey everybody, my name is Bernie and I need another player to play Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden with!
I have been running the module for a little while and have some great players, but one of my players canβt come any more due to work issues. Anyway I would love to fill the gap with someone else that might be interested!
The game is every Friday, 5pm pst, and we are using discord and roll20 for the game. We are roughly about 12 sessions in, so there is plenty more of the module left to explore. The game goes from lvl 1-12 (players are currently lvl 3) so strap in for a longer but heroic adventure!
New and old players alike are welcome! I would prefer you not to have played/read the campaign before, as there are some pretty cool twists. I want everyone to have fun, and I am highly welcoming of anybody that is LBGTQ+ or POC.
A little blurb about the campaign courtesy of WOTC:
Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it. The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the god of winterβs wrath has so coldly preservedβas do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale?

Context: A week ago I posted a think here about my theoretical concept for a thematically appropriate and logically continuative FGO Part 3 with Mash and Ritsuka serving once more as the main leads, with more or less the current living Chaldea staff returning in their usual support roles.
Perhaps against my better judgement, I said that if enough people upvoted it I'd do a follow up post that would more concretely flesh out this idea into an actual developed fic. As I got half a hundred upvotes, I now return with the first snippet of that fleshed out idea.
(So apologies to anybody and everybody who thinks my ideas are bad and that I should sod off with this fanfic nonsense, my hands are tied and you know who to blame now.)
If people still end up liking this stuff for whatever reason and upvote it to a comparable height as my last post did, I'll probably continue doing this. If not, then it was a fun little experiment. All in all, please let me know what you think, for good or bad, since I have no idea how to proceed with this thing, or even if I should keep posting it on Reddit or sod off somewhere else with it.
TLDR: Go read that if you need any more clarification.
Anyways, enough of my inane babble. Allow me to finally give you what you came here for...
Section 1
Ritsuka Fujimaru was finally done.
It hadn't been easy, defeating the Foreign God and restoring the world to normalcy. He himself could hardly believe it at times. Yet here he was. At last finished with his Grand Order, the onetime savior of the very world itself deigned to take a well-deserved rest in bed, pondering where his future laid now.
I suppose I should ask around for advice, Ritsuka thought as he savored his freshly earnt lack of responsibility, the weight of the world no longer on his stiff and sore shoulders. Director Goredolf and Miss Olga Marie would probably have their own suggestion for future career paths, accompanied by promises of recommendation towards positions of choice within the clocktower. If he turned that whole rigmarole down, then theyβd probably saddle him with a nice cash bonus and let him and Mash o their own way. Or perhaps theyβd beg him to reconsider their shared decision, try and keep the pair around in some capacity.
I wish I could stick around. Accept their generous proposals, whatever they end up being. Butβ¦My path is set. A nice life somewhere with Mash is all I really want now. Those were Ritsukaβs thoughts as he ran the possibil

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
The meat and potatoes of what you're here for -- most of my homebrew campaigns are sandbox to some extent: that is, if you go 'off the rails' in any respect I might not push you back towards the intended 'goal' of the story. The initial quest of a campaign, if any, might change, or just never be resolved at all if the game has a set end-date. That said, I tailor each game I run to my players preferences and desires of what kind of story they're looking for so whether a group wants more role-play, more combat, or a classic puzzle-y, riddle-filled adventure I'll adapt to the desires of the group. If you have a specific idea of the type of game you'd like to play (or don't, but want to make one up with a group), I'm here for you!
Our campaign's require a minimum of 3 players for most of them to begin - the ones closest to starting will be marked. Here's a selection of some campaign adventures I currently have waiting to be played:
βββββ Shadowrun: Splintered State 5th Edition Game - Saturday @ 10 PM EST ||
Federal Agent Seth Dietrich has a secret. Actually, multiple secrets. One of them made him go underground, hiding from the people desperate to learn just how much he knows. And the other is keeping him from surfacing, because heβs found he canβt even trust himself. If Dietrich were in his right mind, heβd cover his tracks like a pro, and no one would find him. Especially not shadowrunners getting their feel for life on the streets. But heβs not in his right mind, which means a group of shadowrunners finds themselves in possession of some very valuable informationβinformation the highest powers in Seattle want for themselves. What started as a simple job turns into a scramble for their lives, a scramble that could become profitable if the runners play their cards right.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

About your DM:
I have been playing and running Dungeons and Dragons for over a decade. I started in 4th edition and have been playing 5th edition since its inception. I have also been playing Pathfinder 2nd edition since it came out. One of my passions when I run a game is bringing characterization and roleplaying to the table!
I am an avid fan of fantasy and science-fiction, and I am a bit too obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Why Pay-to-Play?
A dedicated DM: As I stated above, I have been playing and DMing for over a decade. I bring that experience to the table. I also spend time throughout the week outside of our session preparing maps, NPCs and encounters to enhance everyone's playing experience. Your payment goes to much more than the 4 hours we are playing together.
A more reliable group: Every one of us who has played D&D for any length of time has had to deal with flaky people cancelling at the last moment. With pay-to-play games, players (and DMs) are more likely to show up on time and ready to play!
Longevity: As a paid campaign, people may come and go with scheduling conflicts but we replace and carry on. If you like to plant story seeds, you can rest easy knowing the campaign will go on long enough to truly see them bloom!
Schedule:
Sessions will happen every Saturday at 5pm CDT. They will last around 3 hours, perhaps a bit longer if I feel a good stopping point is on the horizon.
Group Management:
Β We will be using Discord for text chat and voice chat. Everything else will be done on Roll20.
Interested?
If you've read this far, I hope you consider joining the game! If you are interested, respond in the APPLY HERE post on this listing:

Good evening felllow dms!
Im currently running my party of 6 through icewind dale, and they are level 9 and just about to finish up the caves of hunger and finally move into ythryn.
Exciting right?
Anywho, my party had a pretty intense combat with Auril, forcing her to flee in her 3rd form and causing the collapse of the upper levels of Grimskalle. The party: Human Gloomstalker Ranger Luxodon Oath of Vengeance Paladin Bugbear Path of the Zealot Barbarian Warforged Forge Cleric Gnome Battle smith Artificer Human Draconic bloodline Sorcerer
Now they've been fairly dominant with their combats, with a few exceptions where they almost lost several members at a time. Some of my party are dealing up to 40-50dmg per turn. I'm planning on having Auril enter Ythryn at her full (or close to it) divine strength to pursue the party and reseal the glacier and all its magical contents.
Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to stat Auril at full power.
I've seen a few posts that say re-flavoring Zariel from Descent into Avernus with cold stats and minor changes can work nicely, but im looking for a little more feedback.
i've been DMing for around 5 years (mostly shorter adventures from tales from the yawning portal and several one offs/multi session adventures) and playing for around 14 years. This is my first full campaign, and i'd like to have the ultimate show down to be something memorable and epic.
i appreciate any and all feedback, and much love to all of you dms out there
Bob
