A list of puns related to "Yamaha TW200"
I bought a fat tire bicycle this year and I love it. I think the TW200 is just as cool but I would want something bigger. Anything similar in a ridiculously fat tire bike that is more like a 400 or something? I'm 6'4'' and 275 if that matters. I realize maybe some bikes could have larger tires put on but seems most bikes I look at can't go THAT big to look similar.
Iβm looking to do mostly off-road and a little street. Nothing too crazy on either side. I like the low end grunt of the TW but like the classic style of the Van Van. Iβm just looking for some pros and cons to help me decide
I am a beginner to dual sports and motorcycles in general. A friend recommended the Yamaha TW200. I plan on riding on local urban streets, dirt roads and some off roading as well. I do not plan to ride on the highway. Have any of you owned one? What are your thoughts on it?
Based on the bikes Iβm most interested, it should be clear that Iβm a short rider who is looking to pick up my first off-road capable motorcycle. I have decades of street riding experience on everything from modest scooters to Ducati super sports. I havenβt done any proper off-road riding; just mountain biking and the ATVs I use at work.
I canβt decide which type of bike will be the best for for me based on where I live and what type of riding Iβll end up enjoying the most. Practicality of use for commuting is not a factor.
The TW200 would offer the motorcycle version of an ATV. This could be the perfect bike for the mud/sand found here in abundance.
The XT250 is a bit more flexible for longer rides at a faster pace. I like that the frame geometry is taken from trials bikes, but I doubt Iβd ever be able to push this bike to itβs performance limits at my age.
The Himalayan offers up the best long distance performance. I just donβt know if Iβd enjoy doing enough longer trips enough to justify the reduced off road capabilities and extra weight relative to the Yamaha bikes. I could bike camp off any of them; this one will just do it better & longer.
I find myself constantly flip flopping between these three bikes. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated; especially if you have experience with these models.
Is the Yamaha TW200 a good beginner bike for an ADV rider?
Here is a Video on it (https://youtu.be/t2a-sUdaNJ8) - Fortnine TW200
If you have any other bike suggestions comment them please :)
My buddy just found a bike for me for 250 and i am so happy. The price point has kept me out of the game but for 250 I canβt turn it down. It needs a little ether to start it but I consider myself handy enough to take on the project. What should I look into as far as helmets and ride gear? I know the bike wonβt be the fastest but for a novice like me I think thatβs for the best. Any and all info or tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated.
Yesterday I cleaned my carb (clogged pilot jet), but it was my first time so I made a few mistakes. Iβve cleaned up behind myself and fixed everything back except readjusting the jets. I didnβt keep track of how many turns they were set in and just seated them when I put them back. The bike wouldnβt start, so I restarted on the carb and fixed everything back right and unscrewed the jets about two turns out. The bike still wonβt start. When Iβm hitting the starter it sounds normal but itβs not actually starting. When I give it gas while trying to start it I can hear a change in the tone but nothing significant. The float is about 9mm above the edge but itβs supposed to be set 10-11mm.
Recently theres been a ticking noise from the cylinder head of the bike, gonna get the valves adjusted but if that doesnt work are there any suggetions of what it could be?
Also ive been trying to wheelie this bike and i can only get it up in 2nd gear, the bike is stock now but i am going to get the carb jetted and sprocket changed anyone know anything else that might help it wheelie?
Looking to get into the world of dual-sport but I'm torn apart between the TW200 and WR250R. I really like the look and simplicity of the TW200 but yeah it lacks high end power as I sometimes cruise on backroads where cars fly by at about 65 mph. The WR250R is more expensive but features more modern equipment. I'll be mostly riding the dual-sport on light trails and back country roads. Any insight would be appreciated
Thanks!
May be a bit of a stretch, but would any of you happen to know where I could get a stock TW200 engine and carb? It doesnβt even have to work, I just want them to tinker with.
Edit: Iβm currently living in Nanaimo.
