There's a bush stone curlew (pair?) sitting in a nest in the middle of the car park, and I fear it's been there too long for its egg to be... viable. Does anybody know how long it takes to incubate? Have locals seen a pair or is it just one lonely bird trying to hatch a baby that won't ever arrive? sob
Hi! Trying to learn about some PL clubs and their respective communities and neighbourhoods to find the right club for me to support! So far West Ham seems like the best fit for me, but if I am to make a trip to watch them play, it would be a nice bonus to see a rugby game as well. Why are there no rugby clubs whatsoever ever in either North or West Belfast? Like I get obviously there's long term religious/political reasons but in 2021 surely there's at least 15 people who want to play rugby from a nationalist background
It's not uncommon to see the 6 nations on in bars in West Belfast nowadays and I know dozens of casual supporters so it seems a bit odd
Even outside that there's not that many clubs bar a wee cluster in South, a couple in East and a cluster out Glengormley way
For anyone living in the area over the summer looking for a fun way to stay active and meet people, I’m with a group of Purdue students and community members starting a rugby team to represent the Lafayette area and we’d love to have anyone interested in joining.
No prior experience or skills needed, just the desire to get outside and have some fun running around with an oddly shaped ball.
Practices are once a week on Thursdays at 6:00 in West Lafayette with tournaments some Saturdays in June and July. Location is 1691 Cherry Ln.
Hey all, Thought there might be some of you in here that could be interested in this so I thought I would share.
Newcastle now has a team in the NSW premier Rugby competition, Shute Shield. It consists of 13 teams with all except Newcastle in the Sydney metro region.
The Newcastle team are called the Hunter Wildfires and play at Newcastle No2 sportsground.
The competition in recent years is actually getting some really good support with some teams getting crowds in the thousands week in and out. The finals are also gaining traction with over 15k at the last 4 (excluding 2020 due to corona).

With the cricket world cup drawing to a close I'm astonished to see the size of some of the West Indie players. Actually most of them are huge! But I don't really see a West Indie rugby team. Are they more likely to play AFL? Thoughts?
