A list of puns related to "West German rearmament"
One thing that always kind of blows my mind is how much Germany was able to rearm prior to the outbreak of World War 2. Quite a lot of that rearmament was still done when Germany was still pretending to adhere to arms control treaties, such as the Washington and London Naval Treaties, the Treaty of Versailles, etc. My question is: how much did the allies know about German rearmament? And if the Allies did know that Germany was rebuilding its navy and air force, then why didn't they impose diplomatic pressure or economic sanctions? From what I know, it seems like, once Hitler seized power, Germany ignored the treaties limiting its military forces and either totally bamboozled Britain and France, or Britain and France let Germany get away with rebuilding its military.
The original Nazi military rearmament plan called for more extensive preparations and not kicking off the war until later (in the mid 1940s I think). Does anyone have more detailed information on that rearmament plan? Timelines, planned buildups (e.g. "X cruisers, Y tanks, Z aircraft"), and the plausibility of those plans (e.g. "the Nazis planned to build Y additional tanks, but realistically only had the capacity for half that")?
Also, would additional preparation as planned given the Nazis an edge (e.g. making the Wehrmacht 10% more capable than it was under the early war that actually occured), or is there evidence that their neighbors were rapidly building up to outpace them under a late war timeline? I.e. a late war plan would give the Wehrmacht an extra 10%, but France/UK/etc would have an extra 20% by that point?
I'm trying to get a sense for whether the early war was a "better" choice than a late war from a planning perspective, or if it kicking off early was one of those times plans go awry due to hubris or underestimation of the Allies willingness to fight.
Since I am South Korean, I'm quite curious about this subject. These days, South Korean government is busy negotiating closely with NK for an official declaration of an end to the Korean War. No problem, as the Biden administration has already stated on several occasions that it strongly supports our peaceful negotiations. Germany is probably the only country that has had such a rare experience, so I'm curious about your experiences. After unification, do you guys share the same sentiment as 'one nation'?

Hey folks, I do a lot of reading on German populations in Western Hungary, and am also a big fan of the Kaiserreich mod.
I know the Austrian Rework is very much work in progress at the moment, and I want to try raise awareness about a problem I think needs fixing in this mod, about the city of Pressburg.
This is going to be a long, well researched effort post, but if you want a condensed summary I suggest scrolling to the very bottom. Cheers :)
First of all, here's a pretty picture of Pressburg to get on the right footing: https://imgur.com/io3VxX6
It's from this Facebook page, which posts pretty photos of the old city. Definitely go check them out: https://www.facebook.com/pozsonypressburg
This First Section is just a bit of Medieval History
I have not gone out and verified the validity of everything here, but this is just a brief medieval history. It's not super important to what I want to discuss later, just word of mouth from a friend of mine. He's a Germanic historian.
Pressburg has had German contact for a long time. I'm sure that's no surprise. It was something of colonial headquarters during the Frankish era, when then Franks first began Christianising the Western Carpathians. I believe they build their first Christian church in Neutra in 828.
German influence probably dies off a bit after the invasion of the Hungarians in 907. German guests are still recorded in Pressburg from the 11th Century, but the main beginning of Pressburg's contiguous German history probably begins after the invasion of the Mongols in 1242.
Hungary successfully defended the city of Pressburg then, however the surrounding region suffered heavy depopulation, and German "guests" began "pouring in," to colonise the empty West-Slovakian land, flooding the city of Pressburg itself. The Austrians then conquer the city back from Hungary in 1287. By this time it is safe to say Pressburg was a properly Austrian-German city.
Alright, now onto more Modern History.
This will be now entirely my own research, so feel free to question and challenge me on anything!
Although the Burgenland concept was debated as far back as 1815, the idea of splitting off a "German West Hungary" first rose to popularity during the Hungarian revolution in 1848. This was considered a method of weakening the hostile Hungarians from further revolt.
The idea was brought forward to the Council of Ministers in

If true, why is this the case? Was NK rearmed enough to restart the war in 1954 or did it take a few years? Who was giving them more support, the USSR or PRC?
So, as some of you may be aware, the KR server is currently burning due to controversy caused by the latest patch notes and there's been a lot of confusion and drama going on in the community, as of now.
I normally don't care to speak up on the actual game-related stuff to Counter: Side, as I'm mainly just here for the story, and best boy, Shiyoon; however, I've noticed there's been quite a bit of misinformation regarding the details of Rearmament, and I wished to make this point to clear up some of the drama as well as vent my own thoughts about the situation.
Rearmament
Rearmament is the latest character upgrade system introduced to C:S with the intention of giving powercrept and underperforming characters a boost in performance. When a character is rearmed, they receive an upgrade to their kit, some minor visual adjustments to their sprite, as well as a leader effect that activates whenever said unit is assigned as a lead unit, then deployed into battle.
The Rearmament Controversy
When the Patch Notes, detailing the process of the Rearmament System came out, the KR community exploded over the requirements to Rearm an SSR unit, and for justifiable reasons.
Rearmed units are required to be lvl 110 in order to receive Rearmament, and getting an SSR unit to level 110 can be a bit of an expensive and grindy affair due to the Fusion Core bottleneck, so a lot of people who aren't whales prefer to use dupes of said unit to limit break them to lvl 110.
When a unit is Rearmed, their level is set back to lvl 1 and they do not retain their limit broken status. However, that wasn't the real crux of the issue since a lvl 100 Rearmed SSR unit was still a big upgrade over a base lvl 110 unit.
The real issue that the only announced method of obtaining Advanced Rearmament Data (The material needed to Rearm an SSR unit) was to disassemble SSRs of a matching class type. In other words, disassembling a Sniper unit gave you the Advanced Rearmament Data for either Snipers or Rangers, and so on. Adding insult to injury, the value table you got for disassembling SSR dupes was completely skewed. Disassembling an SSR unit obtained through the gacha would reward you with 20 Advanced Rearmament Data, while disassembling an SSR that was farmed or given as a free gift would only give you...
2 Advanced Rearmament Data.
You need 280 Advanced Rearmament Data for Rearm.
You also didn't get Fusion Cores for disassembling through Rearmament Lab.
Granted, one thi
