A list of puns related to "Vostok watches"
Iβd like to send a Vostok watch to a friend who lives in Germany so Iβm looking for a trustworthy online shop which will ship reliably to Germany - any recommendations? Would very much appreciate if you guys could give me a hint which online shops you trust! Thanks in advance!
Hi! I haven't found any information on this so I would ask does anyone know here? All I know is that these are made to withstand heavy use but does that include antimagnetism? I have a 420059 model and i would like to know if it is sensitive to magnetization.
As I was wearing one of my Vostok Amphibias, a thought popped up - no question that its a great starter watch for adults, but it might work as a kids too!
I had gotten started on this watch journey with a G-Shock when I was about 10 given by my uncle, then a seiko kinetic that my dad gave me when I was about 16. About 3 weeks after getting the Seiko, I bumped it against the brick wall at school and made a terrible scratch on the case and crystal! Hurt for years!
Yes, I know there's Flik Flak, Tikker, Timex for kids, etc. Parchie pal made one that looks great. But all of these watch are only rated WR30 and quartz. I fear that they won't last the challenges thrown at them. First thing I ever did with my G-shock was submerge it in the sink for 24 hours to see if water would get in.
But the vostok amphibia? Its got serious water resistance so its not going to get water damage in the shower or pool. Will definitely teach them not to unscrew the crown underwater. Scratches in the crystal can be removed with polywatch - heck the whole crystal can be replaced for a few dollars. Scratches to the case? Unfortunate but "builds character". The cases don't exactly have amazing craftsmanship so a few dings isn't going to hurt too much. Terrible strap? Get a better one. Handwinding? Yes!
It doesn't hack. It doesn't have a great quick-set date. And at 70-80 dollars, its not cheap so losing it is probably the biggest risk for kids.
What I'm not sure about is whether they would like the muted dial colors. Kids watches seem to be all about bright colors, affordability (and replaceability).
What do you all think about Vostoks as a starter watch for kids too (or do I just really want another one for myself ha!)?
The date is stuck on my vintage Amphibia and the repair shop said they donβt have the part to fix it. Is this typically because of a date wheel that I need to source or do I need to just buy a replacement movement if the part is too rare? Any feedback is appreciated or any recommendations for part sites
Between all the choices and the many vendors I am quite unsure of where to buy from or what to get as my very first Vostok.
I think I will go for the 420 series. What am I expecting to pay in CAD for a Vostok and how long does shipping take?
Hello vostok enthusiasts i am looking to buy a vostok watch, but am unsure of the website that is legit. Any info is much appreciated :)
I love my watches, but I would want to switch out the acrylic crystal for a more durable one.
I recently got my first Amphibia 420059 and absolutely love it, my dad has taking a liking to Vostok watches too and I figured it would be a cool birthday gift. Thing is he owns a farm and farmwork means alot of physical labour, I want him to be able to wear it as much as much as possible but that comes with the side effect of it getting beat up every now and then.
Are there any models that could take on the job? Wear and tear is perfectly fine but itβs gonna have to be a rugged watch.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
I am currently looking at buying my first Vostok watch and came across the website Vostok watches 24. Has anyone used this website before and can tell me itβs reliable ?
[Vostok amphibia] Custom Bezel and Crown - 710 case - Nato Strap - best watches to customize and mod - Budget price - Can anyone ID model number of this Vostok ?
update... I think this is a Vostok 320234 2409a caliber made from 1989 thru 1991
I just picked up this Boctok (Vostok) its is not a scuba dude and i am guessing it's an older Anphibia model... I have searched the interwebs and can not find this watch...
I think it is a 710 case (40.50 mm wide with out crown) Lug to log 47 mm.
I am new to vostoks and just got addicted to the vostoks. I have just ordered 6 more vostoks 4 of which are custom bezel and crown, kind of like this one... The other 2 are standard scuba dude types...
I just find them to be very interesting watches, with a cool history and a cult following

Hey gang. Selling off some redundancy in my collection here. Please no chats, I won't see them.

Spyderco Sage 5 S30V G10/CF: SV/TV 80 I'm at least the second owner, previous owner added a sharpening choil and put a really nice toothy edge on here. It DOES HAVE BLADE PLAY when tuned to drop shut. It's more than a little play but not floppy by any means. You probably wouldn't notice when doing EDC cutting/slicing tasks but if you scratch off the code on a Nintendo Eshop card you'll feel it. No box.
Cobratec Lightweight D2: SV/TV 50 Second owner on this guy. Edge on this is kinda gross, I used it to practice freehand sharpening and it's pretty uneven. Will still slice paper and it's better than the factory edge that was on there when I received it. I bought this to see if I like OTF autos and I have an Ultratech now, so here you go. Does come with their little not-a-pelican case, papers, and a crappy nylon sheath.

Will happily consider trades for a larger ZT, assisted or non. Also looking for a giant obnoxious Cold Steel, especially an Espada XL or a 6" Ti-Lite. Spyderco plain edge Shaman or Manix XL would be nice too. Users welcome of course.
Im in the market for a new watch and Vostok caught my eye. Reviews says they are very reliable watches, but their price tag worries me. They are ultra cheap. Will I be getting a cheap watch that won't last long or something that's gonna last me while? Any particular models I should look into?
I was looking to get one from the 70s and I was wondering if the Amphibia line ever had radium in the dials. I don't want to have such a hazardous material.
