Hi folks! I’ve been researching vans for a conversion for some time now and I’ve chosen to go for a Renault trafic / Vauxhall vivaro. My budget is around £3,000 (could maaaaaybe push it up a few hundred quid) so I’m hoping to find maybe a 2010 model with hopefully less than 150,000 miles.
First question, is this mileage okay for a van this old? Will it stay good for ages? Or would it be better to get a 2005 model with 100,000 miles?
Second question, LWB or SWB? It seems that the LWB has about 40cm extra internal length. Is it really important? Can you still do a decent rock n rolla bed setup in the SWB? There seem to be more SWB options around in my price range.

Hi, just bought a 2013 Vivaro, Ex AA van and the lad I bought it off said it had a speed limiter on which he left on but said it was easily taken off. Does anyone know how to take the speed limiter off?
My car battery keeps getting drained randomly, does anyone know how to fix it? I dont think a new battery will solve the issue
Hi! I think I've got a faulty door switch for the internal lights (they're on all the time even when all doors are shut). Anyone know how to find out which one so I don't have to replace them all? TIA

Jeg tenkte å kjøpe en Opel Vivaro fra 2007 registrert som N1-kjøretøy (grønn lisensplate) og sette opp en hvilesone på baksiden, for eksempel en queen size-seng, noen møbler å legge i alt klærne og alt annet utstyr , og isolasjonen i tillegg til både sidene og taket / gulvet. Jeg er ikke interessert i noen form for kjøkken, bad, noen varmesystemer og ingen elektriske ting. Bør jeg be om tillatelse til statens vegvesen? Er det en slags sertifikat / tillatelse / ekseter å spørre til noen? Jeg har søkt på nettet, men ingenting nyttig kommer opp til meg. Takk

I was thinking to buy an Opel Vivaro from 2007 registered as N1 vehicle (green license plate) and set up lightly a rest zone in the back such as a queen size bed, some furniture to put inside all the clothes and any other kind of equipment , and the isolation as well both the sides and the roof / floor. I'm not interested in any kind of kitchen, bathroom, some heating systems and no electric stuff. Should I ask the permission to the statens vegvesen? Are there some kind of certificate / permission / excetera to ask to someone? I have searched the web but nothing useful come up to me. Thanks
I bought myself a Vivaro 2 litre sportive3 days ago. It’s 2014 model and has 34,000 miles on the clock. My coolant tank was low when I checked it over. It’s been topped up but two days later it’s not far off empty again. No overheating with the van after a 30 minute drive down a motorway. There’s no water droplets on the dip stick and no white gunk under the filler oil cap. Van runs amazingly. Could it be a thermostat or an air lock problem? There are no signs of leaking either so I’m wondering if it’s losing the fluid as steam? Thanks
