A list of puns related to "Virtual Magnifying Glass"
I've learned how to touch type a few months ago and find the windows magnifier to be great for writing stuff in word. I prefer it to just follow the blinking text cursor and zero in on it instead of following the actual mouse pointer.
Anyway, this is fine & dandy for windows and word but doesn't work in most games or programs. I'd like to be able to enter a game, engage the magnifying glass to type a message, and then disengage it to look at the screen as normal.
Does a magnifying glass like that exist? Thanks!
Hello everyone, hope you can help. I am somewhat visually impaired and use a physical magnifying glass to read on the PC.
Ive recently started learning how to touch type. Im fast as is but use only 6ish fingers and make annoying mistakes... Anyway, I usually type while holding the mg in my left hand to be able to quickly see replies in chat etc. This has become cumbersome while touch typing. For best results, i need to put the mg down, then type, then pick it back up to see replies / check for typos.
Ok on to the question. Is there a virtual magnifying glass program out there that would let me zoom into and out of the currently active typing field with a single command?
Id like it to zoom onto where the insertion point / text cursor is, not the mouse pointer. Ideally it should make the area around the typing cursor take up a large portion of the screen and revert things to normal just as easily.
Hope something like that exists. Thanks for your help!

Iβve seen it pop up but Iβve never really been into reading the things written by members of the sub, but people have said itβs really good and after reading AtE Iβve been persuaded to give it a go.
I don't mean to offend anyone and I have never used the magnifying glass so I actually don't know if it's good. Is it big enough to start a fire with the sun. If so, it might earn it's keep from a survival point of view but I still feel that it doesn't pair well with the functionality of the in line screwdriver.
Look forward to opinions, especially if people really like it.
Subject says it all. Washed my SwissChamp in warm soapy water then let it soak in alcohol for about 40 minutes as I saw instructions on a website. My knife feels great, all tools snapping open properly and feeling clean but the scales took a hit (probably not good for them) and the plastic magnifier is messed up. Any thoughts on this? How do you clean your knife when the tools start not opening or closing properly?
I'm getting middle age eyes and I can't see the skirt or first layer adhesion / extrusion well... I feel like a 30x glass might help. Nobody is using them on YouTubes. Are you?
TL;DR - please recommend me a magnifying glass of some sort, preferably from personal experience.
Longer version - I'm old enough to have played Rogue Trader when it was the only version of WH40K, to remember the Dark Angels as space-faring Native American tribal warriors dressed in black or white armour and to have been thoroughly confused when GW started painting them green.
I played the original HeroQuest ... And now...
I bought the revamped HeroQuest, really nice miniatures and plan on playing a maiden game with my sons on Sunday. At some point we're going to paint the figures. It'll be the first 28-32mm I've attempted in 30 years.
I've got paint, I've got brushes, knives, glue and decent eyesight for my age .. And also a dawning realisation that it's not quite good enough for the smallest details. The eldest (7) and I started painting an Airfix model this week and the pilot very nearly defeated me.
I've had a look on Amazon etc and there is a massive range of options and reviews, some questionable, some not. Can anybody here make a personal recommendation that might help please? I think I'd prefer a freestand type rather than a headband -and-glasses type but I'm open to persuasion.
Thanks for reading so far.
Obviously, this contains major spoilers for Dead or Alive. If you havenβt read Dead or Alive, you want to stop reading right here. Now.
For those who read earlier parts of my magnifying glasses, you can skip past the Preface, it is always going to be a copy-paste for potential new readers, so they know what to expect and how s-words are handled.
Preface: Before I start, I would like to point out that my poking and questioning of logic flaws is not by all means meant to diminish the books I grew up with. I love them, I read them multiple times and they are an actual hobby of mine by now. I do not mean to offend anybody or to negatively influence anybodyβs mind about the series. Itβs more about working close with them and working on them on a critical, but also rather humorous than serious base. This is planned to be a series of mine, in which I will do this (hopefully) once per week (most likely on Sundays) for every book out so far (I plan to also make one for Armageddon outta here + the other short stories and one for M7.) I already made something similar for the Grimoire, so I will leave that one out. While I will mostly focus on things, I can poke my finger into, I also want to share my favorite moments of each book to get a nice balance between criticism and praise. Each post will obviously come with s-words for the book in question (along with quotes), s-words for other books (only those that were released after the one I am discussing) will be marked to avoid spoiling any potential new readers, however, only s-words for the latest books will be actually blackened, to ensure a better flow. You are warned. Now enjoy my nitpicking, if you disagree with things I write, or have further questions, please let me know and Iβll try to clarify things. Note that this is extreme nitpicking sometimes, before you read this with the expectation to learn about big terrible flaws and logic holes. I just like doing that, and those who enjoy reading this kind of stuff get some content, so itβs a win-win. Please let me know if you have suggestions on how to improve these texts, if you see any issues or flaws with them. As for my approach, I will work chronological through the books, but sometimes I need to connect two events between different books.
Dead or Alive
Yeah yeah yeahβ¦ Itβs not Sunday, this isnβt LSoDM, I know. But in order to write these, I basically need to re-read each book and that consumes a lot of time. Time, I donβt have currently. H
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but when iβm playing a game on here and i hold down a button, a little magnifying glass pops up and my phone vibrates. This happens every time i pick up my finger and put it down again. How do i disable this?
Help please
