Verisk Analytics Puns

I see a lot of actuarial job openings for this firm and was wondering if anyone could give their experience?

I applied to one of their job postings without having heard of the company before. Their website looks very plain and not impressive, so it kinda gives me that sketchy feeling, but that's just me. Wikipedia doesn't say that much about them, so I don't really know what to make of it. Anyone know anything about them? Work for them? Is it a legit company?

TO BE CLEAR. BLACKROCK/VANGUARD DID NOT LIQUIDATE GME. They may have been involved in the mass block sale event on Friday though.

TL;DR: Vanguard/BlackRock/Morgan were the only people with enough stock to cover the block trades and now have a metric craptonne of tendies to abuse Citadel with.

EDIT 4: Last edit of the night before I pass out. I've been digging into Archegos. Andy Mills features prominantly. From his linkedin, he is the Executive Chairman and Co-CEO, Archegos Capital Mgmt. Okay, cool. Why do I care? If you read this SEC report, you can see that he has quite a few insider shares of a thing called "VERISK ANALYTICS, INC". Their page on him here states:

But again, none of them seem to actually do anything. What I did find, over on fintel, is a guy called Brian D. Jones, who also works at Archegos. He's associated to Atlantic Capital Bancshares.

So, I still think Archegos is a bunch of bullshit, but it ties some people together.

Back to Verisk. Verisk do this:

Great points made in the comments by other Ape’s but let me highlight and add a few areas based on my DD where ROOT stands out:

• ROOT gives a big discount for Autonomous driving cars with Tesla owners leading that pack - By 2025 there will be 10 if not more models like Tesla made by VW, Ford, NIO, GM doing copy cats with Autonomously driving vehicles.

• Plus ROOT’s app like Tesla collects all this data anyway so ROOT + Tesla have a leg up with autonomous driving, and first mover advantage.

• And if you Ape’s have really been paying attention to banana farms on your left (which means where ROOT Stonk will be) and not the 2 bananas in your hand, 1 of the 13 ROOT investors is also on Walmart’s Fintech board and Wally World tried Auto Insurance in 2014-2015, I will let you Ape’s sniff and follow crumbs on that

• Note on other Insurance providers: Yes progressive has a program, and ROOT’s Chief Data hire is the one who designed that program for Progressive, he is part of their management team: David Martin, Chief Data Scientist - look it up.

• ALL STATE has Drivewise as their telematics, they are not even close to ROOT. Their apps have a mobile telematics component which gives discounts (I ‘was’ a All State customer, kicked them to the curb).

• ROOT is all Telematics and Mobile based, others are not even close - as per my DD

• Everyone is only looking at insurance side of ROOT’s business but completely overlooking basically IGNORING what makes ROOT a truly tech company / disruptive tech with a SAAS offering

• This is a pure Fleet, Enterprise and Autonomous vehicle risk assessment market where I have not even considered mantainence and predictive analytics

• I switched from ALL STATE to ROOT and All STATE had me on 8 discounts

• ROOT beat the shit of old big insurance and came in $450 lower, plus my driving record / style is good as per sensor data so that might have helped

• Anyone who thinks; I don’t want ROOT to track my driving, braking, and my “side” business; don’t get your panties in a bunch

It is going to be a short trading week and shortened weeks tend to be choppy. The Nasdaq and S&P came under selling pressure yesterday as the Dow Jones barely finished positive. Oil and energy performed exceedingly well.

I have been working on setting up an alert system on my Discord that will notify anyone when my alerts from Trend Spider trigger. This should be a better system that is faster and more efficient notifying my followers when my option or swing trading set ups alert.

For example, $V is hovering around major support. If $V bounce on the trend line (purple) that I have set an alert on, Trend Spider will automatically notify the VIP section of the Discord server. The format will look something like this:

New Alerts Added:

Alibaba Group Holding Limited, through its subsidiaries, provides online and mobile commerce businesses in the People's Republic of China and internationally. It operates through four segments: Core Commerce, Cloud Computing, Digital Media and Entertainment, and Innovation Initiatives and Others.

Although BABA is still in a bearish pattern, it is hard to find an analyst that doesn't have a 'buy' rating for the e-commerce goliath of Asia. There are major resistances that it is hovering around right now which it has rejected 4 times since its ATH in last October. More so now, the 50 day MA is here as well. Overall, I am bullish on BABA and if we can have another buying opportunity at the bottom support (purple line), I will be getting into calls around $220.

• My discount bot to help /r/wallstreetbets. It took me almost a year to develop it to my standard.
