A list of puns related to "Vellore Institute of Technology"
Got provisional admission to both MIT and VIT for CsE and as an nri their prices don't differ by much. I can see a bunch of people talking trash about VIT but not too much negatives about MIT other than the fact that there are a lot of drugs. Please tell me if there are any downsides to Manipal as well so that I can make a better decision. I also want to take part in more competitions and hackathons in my time at college so which college do you think will provide more opportunities like that and how easily will I be able to find them. Thanks in advance.

What do you think of it?
People of Bengaluru , So MAHE has started constructing its new off-campus in Yelahanka, inside the BSF campus. How great will the college become in the future owing to its Manipal brand and since it falls under MAHE, How many opportunities will the first batch get and whether the college will be able to top the competition present already? Thanks in advance.
p.s - If somebody from this subreddit stays near BSF, How is our campus coming out to be and what details should we new guys know about our neighborhood. Like places for fun , part-time jobs e.t.c
Saw this in a Whatsapp forward with a phone number and I was skeptical.
Any Trivandrum folks can verify this?
Thanks in advance.
Hi I am a HS Senior who applied Early Decision II to Stevens Institute. My sister, who is also a Senior, applied Early Decision I and was accepted (Business major). However her acceptance is conditional, she has to do an 8 week precalculus course because she did not take precalculus senior year (we both took Discrete Math). I took the same classes as her and I aswell did not take precalculus my senior year. Will Iโbeing a Social Sciences majorโhave to take this course as well?
If so, is there anyone going in semester 1 that is willing to swap with me for semester 2? Just trying my luck here as the modules that I want to map are only offered in semester 1 (I did not clearly check before applying) If not, if there is anyone going in Sem 2 as well err I guess we can get to know each other?
Hi,
I've recently come across posts and articles which mentioned NIT's having pretty stringent rules
https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-9a00122659a18c21136cbb770d5e4a87 ( for reference).
I tried to search up on google and other platforms to check how the rules are in NIT Andhra Pradesh but couldn't find anything.
Any clarification on this will be happily accepted.
Thanks :>
myquals: JEE mains and advanced
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) are generally ranked as some of the best STEM educational institutes in India. Entrance exams are extremely competitive and many people spend huge amounts of money and years in coaching institutes to study for the exams.
One of their professors has recently gone viral after claiming he exorcised ghosts by chanting Hindu religious mantras (prayers). The professor in question, Laxmidhar Behera, taught electrical engineering in IIT Kanpur, one of the top rated IITs. The video clip in which he makes this claim was hosted on a Youtube channel called โLearn Gita Live Gita", a religious channel run by IIT-affiliated people. (Gita is a reference to the Bhagwad Gita, a Hindu religious text).
He was interviewed for this channel, during which he apparently told this story (the video has since been made private)
> In the five-minute clip, Behera recounts how he had travelled to Chennai in 1993 to help a friend who was in distress as his โfamily was affected by ghostsโ. He is heard saying that he had started โpractising the thoughts and wisdom in the Bhagavad Gitaโ along with chanting the โHare Rama Hare Krishnaโ mantra and had decided to help his friend to โdemonstrate the potency of the holy name.โ
> โSo I took two of my friends and reached at 7 pm. He was in a research scholar apartment. After 10-15 minutes of loud chanting we suddenly saw his father, who was a very shortโฆperson, absolutely old, barely able to walk, and suddenly his hand and leg wasโฆhe was creating such a ghastly dance and his head is almost touching the roof. You could feel that he is being completely devoured by the evil spirit,โ Behera says in the clip.
When he was interviewed about this claim by the Indian Express, a newspaper, he doubled down and said:
> When asked about the video, Behera told The Indian Express Friday: โI narrated what I said. Ghosts exist, yes.โ He added that modern science cannot explain a lot of occurrences or events.
The interview was seven months ago. Last week he was selected to head another IIT, as their Director.
It's really disappointing to see the reputation of top STEM institutes
