>All in all, Call of Duty: Vanguard is a solid yet unremarkable entry into the long-running franchise. On a technical level, it's one of the most impressive games out there right now. On a gameplay level, it's nothing you haven't seen before.
COGconnected - Trevor Houston - 84 / 100
>Vanguard doesnβt stray too far away from the classic Call of Duty formula we have come to expect from the franchise over the past several years. In many ways, itβs a little more of the same. That said, Call of Duty: Vanguard is an incredibly robust package offering up tons of content for the buck. Zombies mode is far more enjoyable and varied, the single-player campaign is a visual stunner, and 20 MP maps at launch is nothing to sneeze at. If you have passed over Call of Duty over the last several years, it might be time to come back.
Digital Chumps - Ben Sheene - 9.5 / 10
>Call of Duty: Vanguard continues the high standard set by 2019's Mod

The Context is pretty much that there's a special pack that gives all five members of Raise a Suilen + RIOT and Expose Burn out in one pack. The problem is that it's in random boxes. (1 box = 12 packs) Also you can get a special art version of them but I bet the chances of getting that are even lower. If you buy a Carton, you could get a whole play set of 4 but I never buy cartons before and it's funny it took me 2 boxes. (Well. Three but I only bought one box at the time and I got a Ran and a Yukina but not the special edition ones) I used to play Vanguard back in the day and that since I like Bang Dream, this is my first merchandise of Bang Dream and I guess my way of supporting them.
BTW, my photo skills are not that great so it will have to do.
While we patiently wait these last few days for Vanguard to release I figured I would see what are some of peoples favorite WW2 movies/tv shows so I can do some epic binging to pass the time. See you all online in a few days!
On December 29th, 2021 Vanguard Target Retirement Funds all dropped in share price by as much as 14% in a single day. I've heard from a ton of investors who are really confused about it, so this is what happened, how it impacts those who hold these funds, and why it happened.
If you own a Vanguard Target Retirement Fund and you looked at your returns after 12/29/2021 you likely saw a huge drop in the share price. For example, hereβs a screenshot of my brokerage account showing the daily return of the fund VFIFX showing an 11.34% drop.
This fund is made up of just five underlying funds:
A target date fund is just a βfund of fundsβ so it should behave as a weighted average of the underlying funds. But if we look at how those funds fared on the same day, they were all almost perfectly flat, while the target date fund had a huge share price drop.
If the underlying funds were flat, why did the target date fund see a huge share price drop? It was caused by a huge capital gain payout. Basically, fund owners were all paid a large chunk of cash and the share price was lowered to reflect that payment.
To illustrate this, remember that the growth of your investment value in a mutual fund is comprised of two parts:
Mutual funds own a bunch of stocks, bonds or other funds. As time goes on, those underlying investments pay dividends and capital gains. The mutual fund takes that cash and internally reinvests it, buying more investments. The value of all those intern
... keep reading on reddit β‘The Welgun is just the latest, and most egregious, example of this trend. Particularly because the challenge isnβt (wasnβt?) tracking in plunder. Most players have literally never gotten 10 kills in a game, nevertheless all ADS kills with an SMG in 15 games. Resurgence makes it a little more palatable, but still.
Itβs such a shame because Warzone itself is one of the most fun BRs in my opinion, but grinding simply is not fun. I play to compete and outplay people, not for a sense of pride and accomplishment in unlocking new things.
ninja edit: yes, bypass is a poor word choice. But the gist is the same.
Hi, I started a Roth IRA in January this year. I put in $6000 for 2020 and $1000 for this year. I'm going to contribute the other $5,000 soon. I am wondering why nothing has changed? Here is a screenshot of my account: https://i.imgur.com/m5mtN0q.png (I'm not sure where the $0.55 is from).
I also have a Traditional 401k through my employer, Merrill and Lynch. I can clearly see the amount I've contributed, as well as the losses/gains from the market.
What am I doing wrong with Vanguard?
Hello. Basically Iβm looking at redoing my Roth IRA. Iβve only had it for a year and maybe Iβm being too anxious about it but I just think there has to be better mutual funds or an etf ratio that I could do. Currently Iβm with vanguard and I have their life strategy fund. I have and 80/20 mix with stocks being the 80. All Iβm wondering is if my investment is smart and I should just stay the course or try a different fund or etf. Any help would do. Thank you. Also Iβm not the most knowledgeable in the investment field so my vocabulary isnβt that great.
Yes, I know I'm about a week late to the party but I thought I may be able to weigh in with some insight on Call of Duty's most recent installment, Vanguard.
A little background - I am a history professor at a private university (won't say the name for sake of anonymity) and teach several courses on history in the first half of the 20th Century, including a class on Military History of WWII.
This is only for those who enjoy reading. It's long, sorry Reddit. If you're just here for the historical discrepancies, just head down until you see, "Historical Accuracy."
Just as a preface, I'm mostly reviewing the game's campaign and story elements and while some of this does translate to the multiplayer experience, the single player realm is the world I will be exploring today.
Steven Spielberg, one of the most influential Americans in history, is an enthusiastic historian himself and when he set upon changing how we would view the Second World War, he didn't stop at Saving Private Ryan. Immediately following the film's success, he partnered with Tom Hanks to create HBO's Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and grabbed some developers from DreamWorks to start the Medal of Honor video game series which changed first-person shooters forever. Spielberg wanted to push the boundaries of media so that the country could consume history in entertaining ways. He felt as though he was obligated to be as authentic as possible in order to properly honor the Greatest Generation and help educate Americans in ways schoolbooks never could.
I think about Spielberg's vision a lot when playing historical video games. Franchises are more than welcome to take any artistic liberties they deem necessary for the purpose of their respective plots but as a history professor I've become more and more disappointed with games released in the past few years and the opportunities they have squandered when able to reflect real history (I'm looking at you, Black Ops: Cold War). That being said, Sledgehammer's last game, WWII was so refreshing that it brought me back to a series I had long abandoned after the 2013 release of Call of Duty: Ghosts, so my hopes were high in anticipation of Vanguard.
For my review below, I'll break it down into several categories with a final overall assessment:
Plot = C-
The plot has a major hole. None of the events after the first mission (in the present, 1945 timeline) would have ever happened, but I'm putting that aside for now an

I work, and I work the standard 9-5 job and want to do things outside of ranking up weapons or buying a new video game. Itβs too much, and I think Iβll just end up playing less and less.
