A list of puns related to "Dimash Kudaibergen"
I recently heard Dimash sing Opera 2, SOS and Unforgettable Day, and like everyone else, I was stunned by his perfect high notes like Eb6 and D8. How can he sing so high yet so well? Is it just pure born talent or is there any techniques to help him achieve that?
I stumbled upon videos of people praising this man like crazy and I just... didn't understand? He can sing consistently high but his timbre sounds really annoying to me, as if he were imitating one of the Baby Looney Toons when singing.
At first I thought that my enthusiasm for music theory (I am not an expert on the topic) made me become nitpick-y so I watched more performances of his and read a bit more commentary/reviews and I realized that people treat him like he's the best thing that's happened in contemporary music primarily because he sings very high. I personally find that he lacks soul in his songs, his diction/pronunciation is almost always bad and he lip syncs a lot.
I'm curious. Do you guys like Dimash? How do you feel about his musicianship? I'd be interested in your reasons if you thought he's as good as the internet portrays him.
After discovering this guy last year I wish he spread to the west a bit faster, he is capable of more vocally than anyone I've ever heard. Here's a performance he did which is my current favourite.

I believe he's in the process of improving his English so some pronunciation is a bit off but try to just focus on his voice. If you're questioning if this is live, type into YT 'Dimash at Spirit of the Great Steppe in Los Angeles' and watch that live performance. If you're thinking he's just all high notes watch him sing Olimpico on YT too he is capable of much more. This is of course not necessarily music you'd listen to all the time but if you want to be blown away it's a good choice.
Just checked, he wasn't mentioned in this Reddit feed, so maybe for some of you he will be something new.
