A list of puns related to "Valiant Comics"
Hey comic family!
I don't see much talk about Valiant Comics and I am a complete ignorant on their stuff. I know a couple of them by name; Bloodshot, NinjaK. Which would you consider are TOP comics to get from this company? And most importantly; if you could name the ACTUAL books to get that would be awesome.
A lot of their stuff is OOP but I would love to hear recommendations and a LITTLE Bit of an explanation of how that works. Is like Marvel; one common share universe? Or their characters are independent from one another?
Thanks!!!
I was thinking that now that I'm grown up I should complete my collection of Valiant comics. I'm looking for Rai 1-4, Magnus 9-12, X-O 1-4, and Harbinger 1-4. All the stuff that I had to read the TPB back in the day. What's the best way to accomplish this? Ebay's shipping charges are kinda nuts. Is there an online vendor that might have all or many of them? The internet didn't really exist when I was collecting back in the day, so I'm a bit clueless.
Before I dive into the Valiant comics universe. Any pre relaunch valiant comics worth reading?
I started reading a few titles from valiant. I had my fun and want to tell you what and why I liked it.
Faith: in advance, this is my favorite title from the publisher. i like their character and also a the idea. it's what if, clark kent was invented in this day and age. fantastic story and in my eyes a modern classic.
Eternal Warrior: conan meets Highlander. we are all just a moment in infinity. the present is just an illusion, everything will become obsolete. but what if you don't go away and you see how the world keeps changing? You want to go on but the past keeps coming back.
UNITY: a team put together to kill a man. but everyone has superpowers. this is really a thing to read and to go blind in my eyes.
Generation Zero: a bunch of superpowered teenagers fleeing a private military company. I like it precisely because I'm someone who had a shitty childhood myself.
Doctor Mirage: I always find it interesting if you could manage to make contact with the dead. But then I also have a few big questions. what does it mean to be dead. I love the concept, I like the protagonists, really underrated works.
what is your opinion, which titles should i read?
It was surprisingly good. I want more.
I just went on the website for the company and I honestly laughed internally. Not because I donβt believe they wonβt release quality projects, but because they stated they wonβt release more then 2 comics a month. Sound familiar? Lol Dinesh & co are awesome for that. Unfortunately, they stated earlier this month that theyβre closing down by the end of the year :(
I've started getting into comics over the last few months and have been starting to look for a good superhero universe to get into. I've heard good things about the current continuity but have also come across mainly negative opinions on the current state of valiant (and this continuity?). Therefore my question is wether it is worth getting into this universe knowing it'll all go downhill at some point or if i should look for other universes.
Should it become true someday? What would your roster be like?
Any superhero/villain comics? I only ever read dc, Marvel, and dark horse but Iβm not very familiar with Valiant. The only person I know is Bloodshot because of the movie
Now that I've watched Bloodshot and seen how Ray Garrison is supercharged by those nanites, it's got me thinking about another fighter who also uses nanites (sorry, NANOMACHINES SON!) as part of his fighting style.
So yeah basically it's a fight between two nanomachine powered super-beings strong enough to go toe-to-toe with other supersoldiers and the like. Who wins this confrontation?
Senator Steven Armstrong (from Metal Gear Rising) - only use his abilities from the main game only and not the Samuel DLC
Round 1 - Armstrong vs Movie!Bloodshot
Round 2 - Armstrong vs Comics!Bloodshot
Since I mentioned Desperado Enforcement LLC. and Rising Spirit Technologies...
Who would in this match-up: KT, Dalton and Tibbs vs Sundowner, Monsoon and Mistral?
I spose this is more of a legal question than anything. Obviously, pre-Acclaim, we had a whole series of Turok comics by Valiant.
Are Valiant able to release trade paperbacks of those? Or do they no longer own the rights to them, even though they were published by themselves?
Folks might not be too familiar with this character who hails from Valiant Comics' Archer and Armstrong. Armstrong is a super strong immortal and I tried to capture that feeling with this build.
I do a full breakdown on the build and explain my choices level-by-level over on my blog, which I'll post a link to in the comments.
Lemme know what you guys think - what other characters you might like to see (I haven't done a build for a druid or investigator), what you think I got wrong, and any other thoughts you have on this.
Have a Fantastic Friday!
