A list of puns related to "Ustad Ahmad Lahori"
I am not an expert on the Ahmadiyya split between the Qadian and Lahore groups.
From my understanding, the Lahori group wanted a more democratic style of governance of the Jamaat, while the Qadian group was far more in favor of having a Khilafat system and was strongly supportive of having Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad Saab as Khalifa.
Given the current events and the fact that much of the Western Jamaat (with big Chanda influence) is much more educated and quite frankly, enlightened relative to the previous generations (For whom I give respect to as my elders and for those who struggled from much humbler situation under much tougher circumstances, like having to raise kids in the west and being fresh immigrants from a very different culture)
Is it time to revisit the ideas of the Lahori Jamaat? Is it fair to have a discussion and say "Hey, look, we see the progress the Jamaat has made, but now it is time to change the system to fit with the changing situation of civilization where this kind of centralized authority is becoming obsolete"
What do you all think?
Hello,
I'm not from Afghanistan, and I'm reading this novel set in Afghanistan called A Thousand Splendid Suns. There's this description of a song which I put in the title and I want to know which song it is. Can anyone give me the title or the link to the song?
I also would like to know what people think of the song or Ustad Awal Mir.
Thank you in advance!
This year the smog situation has been the worst in Lahore and we have been having major issues dealing with it.
Everyone I know has been coughing, sneezing and complaining about pain in their throats.
We have been avoiding going out, taking a hot steam once a day and drinking hot water/green tea but all of the above seem to work temporarily.
Any other Lahoris who have been dealing with the smog, what counter measures are you taking?
If this keeps then it would become near impossible to live in Lahore. Anyways rant over!
Long ago (nearly 3 years ago) I had a discussion with someone on r/ahmadiyya who raised two questions and I would like to revisit and elucidate on some of those points
Response:
Furthermore, their own Muslim scholars have explained that 73 does not mean the exact number β73β. Arabic linguists have mentioned that if the number seven appears as a unit or in tens, then it refers to βmanyβ or βmultitudesβ. A prominent translator and commentator, Muhammad Yaseen Qasuri Naqshbandi, in his commentary ofΒ Jamiβ al-Tirmidhi, under the explanation of the above narration writes (in Urdu):

βThe numbers 72 and 73 indicate excess. In Arabic, the number 7 is used for slight excess and the number 70 is used for moderate excess whereas the number 73 is used to indicate extreme excess*.*β(Anwar-e-Nabwi, Book of Faith)
For more info on 73 sects read here: https://www.alhakam.org/the-73rd-heavenly-sect-response-to-allegations-part-i/ However I want to elucidate on the lahori aspect of this
The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement does not consider itself a sect. It considers itself a movement. Deobandi and Barelwi both started out as movements. Even today they say don't call us firqah, say maslak. But even if we say Lahori is a firqah that doesn't affect the overall argument.
The other point is the Lahore Ahmadis have accepted Musleh maud in two senses. The first sense was that they were willing to accept him only if the Khalifa was very weak in power only for namaze and janaze but a khalifa is more than that. The second thing was that they claimed the anjuman was the successor of Hadrat Masih Maud(as), well if that is the case Noorideen(rh) was the President and he resigned during his khilafat and appointed Musleh Maud(as). Musleh Maud was president of the Anjuman for full four years.
Actually Musleh Maud was no
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm wondering if anyone can share the truth and un-biased story and people's speculation of happened around this time period. I am hearing some really disturbing allegations (rape, pedophilia etc) from my aunts and uncles against the 2nd khalifa and I wonder if this is known by the folks on this sub and what can I really believe to be historically true.

I'm in the process of making financials for my startup.
Can anybody share what the structure of salaries is in the startups in Lahore?
What the salaries are for different roles; ranging from the junior roles to the C level Executives? Including benefits, or do startups in Pakistan provide first/starting employees with equity as well?
I'm looking for a very old song that I used to really enjoy on a cassette my parents had recorded.
Unfortunately, while in Afghanistan I didn't go to school and so my reading/writing is atrocious, so googling it and searching it online proved to be very difficult.
A some years ago (phew, about ten now?), I remember stumbling across a YouTube video of the recording but it's been lost since I've lost contact with my family.
The only lyrics I kind of remember mumbling along to, is "Watan az pirohanne nozuk e zeba shavad, ye rab imshab chi shavad".
The video itself had a lot of green, I assume it was background drop, with him looking pretty young. I might be confusing the video to another song, but if anyone can point me in the right direction or even clue me in on the song title, I'd be very grateful. If there's anyone on the planet who'd know something, it's the wonderful people of reddit.
Thank you for taking your time to look into this ^^
Hi. I'm a casual guitar enthusiast with special interest in old school rock/metal. I'm doing a day time job but always has been performing on and off casually and soemtimes even professionally. But recently the work life has been really hectic and covid scenario just killed any gig scenes that was left around me. Now i don't have friends to play with and i kinda miss rocking out. I have a stable job now but i always wanted like minded people to casually get together on weekday evenings and weekends and just rock out loud maybe do a professional gig or two. I want to reconnect with my old time favorite hobby and would love to meet people wanting the same thing. Even if we're not jamming, spending time over some coffee would also do.
