I have a major in int. relations and I'm passionate about history however I never ever heard or read about this conflict! I'm from Europe so maybe that's why it is not taught but nevertheless, i would like to know if you have good sources - books or articles - about this conflict.

It was condemned by the U.N with a vote of 108 to 9 calling it a "flagrant violation of international law." However, the invasion was widely supported by the citizens of the country and many neighboring nations supported it. It is even celebrated as a national holiday in Grenada, and the nation has remained a stable democracy since.
I strongly support what we did. We freed a country that was under an oppressive government, and we didn't end up destabilizing them.
So, I've gotten most of my information from William Blum's book Killing Hope, there's an 8-page chapter covering most of this and it makes the following claims:
