A list of puns related to "Transgender hormone therapy"
I'm mostly curious about the people who have had surgery too, what happens to their bodies? Does it completely screw you over of you stopped taking them for life?
aku nggak pernah ke rumah sakit dan aku bingung nyari HRT treatment dan aku sudah ke mana-mana, tapi nggak ketemu (aku hidup di Yogyakarta kalau membantu)
Please consider contributing your experience to our queer- and trans-led study. We are seeking to improve urologic care for folks on HRT! Email us at Genitourinary-GAHTStudy@healthcare.uiowa.edu

For those who aren't yet aware, there is a large transgender hormone therapy community on the Internet messaging and voice chat platform Discord. One of the major servers is TransDIY. The authors of Transfeminine Science are in this Discord server and so are many others. Discord is available as a browser web app, as a mobile app for Android and iOS, and as a desktop program.
Here is the invite link to join the server:
We look forward to seeing you there!
P.S.: Please let us know if this invite link stops working!
P.P.S.: There is a light theme in the Discord settings if you prefer that like Aly does.
Hey! I've had this idea for a while and I finally decided to write a pilot script. This story has some very obvious Breaking Bad inspirations so be warned. I wanted to get some feedback on it because I like its idea, but I feel like the script is missing something. I have the entire storyline thought out and this is just the first episode. Itβs 24 pages long and I guess itβs technically a drama.
the script:

Feedback would include things like:
Are the characters well-rounded/likable?
is the dialogue well written/does it flow?
Is the plot sound/does it have any weird holes?
Anything helps. I just wanted to get some other people's opinions on it. Thanks!
Hi, the other day my friend mentioned that she was planning on transitioning through the LTC and after looking into it a bit myself, I'm considering it too. Does anyone here have any experiences with going through them? Ideally talking about the speed and price you can get the diagnosis and prescription. Because right now it looks a little too good to be true, so I don't know if it's safe for me to possibly get my hopes up.
EDIT 4 (read this): This topic was originally about a specific point of contention, but it became more about the overall process of making decisions regarding medicine. Some clarification:
(I am not trying to soapbox; I am explaining my full, refined position after awarding deltas, for any lurkers or future commenters)
Coming into this, I personally supported (and do support) hormone therapy, due to my own experience of the hellish alternative of dysphoria (I sympathize with the suicide attempt rates, because I happen to be one of them). From a purely rational stance, however, I was a bit of a fence-sitter with hormone therapy.
While my belief in the lack of long-term studies hasn't changed (there are some, but few), my belief in how it relates to the choice of transitioning (for myself and others) has.
Practical decisions, including those made in medicine, are about trade-offs. The side-effects of a treatment may be bad (not that I believe that is true for hormone therapy), but a choice could still be made to use said treatment if the alternative, not being treated, is worse.
The belief I started with was that there may be very bad long-term side effects of hormone therapy that are not known about. A combination of factors that led me to believe that the risk of this was minimal, and that it should not be a significant reason why one would not receive this treatment. Here are some (not all), in no particular order:
Ps - I'm not a homophobe. I have a transgender sister (born a man, later transitioned to female). I never find any answer to this question. Thanks a ton.
I am in no way discounting the experience of transgender people and have no idea what they go through and never want to minimize it. I absolutely believe it is real and should be taken seriously . However, I think it is too risky to allow someone below the age of legal consent to undergo possible permanent changes as such .
I think therapy should continue , and reassurance that at 18 (maybe even 16) they can transition with these things should continue , and pronouns should be properly aligned with what they identify .
It worries me that not only is there a chance they may change their mind , but also they will be susceptible to more trauma undergoing this type of experience at a young age .
I also feel ,starting at a young age almost traps you in even if you do want to change your mind.
Possible sterilization in itself to me is enough for that decision to be put on hold .
So many things people feel a child can not decide or be sure on until 18 . Canβt even be trusted to drink alcohol until 21 here in the states . No tattoos ... things referencing the body .
ΓDIT: Thank You for all of your responses! I have concluded that it is uncertain and could go bad either way , so allowing people to decide for themself and just hope for the best may be the best option .
because consent doesnβt matter and your body is the property of everyone but you.
