A list of puns related to "Toy drive"
The best thing about the /r/CFB is the Community, and an important extension of that is its generosity. The tradition continued in our 24th charitable drive, the 2021 /r/CFB Holiday Drive: Bricks, Toys, & Children's Hospitals!
Since 2013, /r/CFB readers have donated over $125,000 to charity.
##Intro
The 7th annual /r/CFB Holiday Drive raised $14,342.43!
Take a moment to appreciate all 150+ /r/CFB readers who donated.
##Donation Breakdown:
We're still in the pandemic, so we continued the variation we developed last year: Raoul Claus stayed home, so we shifted to all online donations. In addition to Toys For Tots and children's hospitals, brick donations this season to 5 new schools!
After the money was put to the 5 bricks, the rest was split evenly between Toys For Tots and Children's Hospitals.

##Donations to Children's Hospitals
The $6,083.44 was divided among the top-3 most generous fanbases:
Notre Dame and Clemson returned, joined by newcomer Arkansas. Although Notre Dame and Clemson do not have a medical schools, we were able to use the same hospitals identified last year, when we looked to which children's hospitals their athletic/university benefits favor. Arkansas does have a Medical School (UAMS) with an affiliated Arkansas Children's Hospital with locations in Little Rock and NW Arkansas (Springdale).
So the Children's Hospital donations were:
First place: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Second place: Arkansas Razorbacks
As a joke I really want to get my 6 month old nephew a really annoying toy that will his mum/my sister crazy.
Any ideas?
#DRIVE OVER: Donation breakdown explained here. Now awaiting the transfer of funds from PayPal and Stripe (the latter ETA is midweek for all transactions to clear). A separate post will be made once donations are made.
tl;dr: [Donate here], the money is going children's hospitals and toys for children in need!

# 7th ANNUAL /r/CFB HOLIDAY DRIVE
Hey everybody! /r/CFB has conducted A LOT of previous fundraising drives totaling over $100,000.00, including purchasing 54 bricks across the country!
The first 5 Holiday Drives culminated in a team of redditors joining me (dressed as Raoul Claus) on a giant shopping spree where we buy thousands of dollars in toys and then donate them to the nearest Toys For Tots warehouse: check out the photos from 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
In 2020 we shifted to purely online donations (summary here).
Out of an abundance of caution, the 2021 Drive will also be purely in cash.
This year we return to buying bricks on several campuses across America. All money raised beyond that amount will be split evenly between Toys for Tots and children's hospitals (details of the hospital split are below).
Team Reward: Children's Hospitals
Rewarding the fanbases that donate the most money, the portion designated for children's hospitals will be split as follows:
If a fanbase in the top-3 has a children's hospital
... keep reading on reddit β‘Children across Mayfield Kentucky have lost their Christmas as a result of tornados ripping our town apart. Currently the shelters are filled with kids that have nothing but a stiff cot to sleep on. So I decided to do a toy drive and give it back to them. So far weβve raised several thousand in funds and Walmart has agreed to give us a 25% discount on our purchases throughout the week. I encourage you all to help out if you can. No Iβm not a big charity and no Iβm not some scam. Iβve been as transparent as can be. All of my receipts are shared online and 100% of donations go towards the toys. Donors will have their name on the cards as (wrapped by elf βyour nameβ). Thank you all for your consideration.

Wanted to piggyback off of a few comments Iβve seen lately and make a separate post.
Some of you may remember back a few months ago on the WSB subreddit, slightly domesticated apes donating large sums of money to sponsor wild apes. The end result garnered media attention as well as critical resources that went to help save endangered wildlife.
What if we did something similar for Christmas?
We could fund a Christmas toy drive for the less fortunate using products exclusively from GameStop. This achieves:
Boosted Q4 earnings for GameStop
Media exposure
A happy Christmas for those less fortunate!
Idk just a thought.
Don't get me wrong, I want all children to have a nice Christmas. But a one-year old isn't going to feel self-conscious about not getting a gift. And if they do receive a gift, it's not like they're going to remember it. School-age kids and teenagers, on the other hand, are keenly aware of what they do and don't have.
Older kids and teens tend to get overlooked in toy & gift drives. Most donations are for babies and little kids, for whatever reason. A lot of toy drives don't even collect gifts for kids over age 10. But let's be real here. At age 11 or 12, most of us would have been heartbroken if we didn't get anything for Christmas.
Hi folks! I'm a nurse at Phoenix Children's and lately, we've been really short on good toys and comfort items (blankets, etc.) for some of our kiddos. I'm usually one of the first faces you'll see when your kids get sick so we rely on a good supply of toys to help kids feel safe and comfortable. But this year we're not doing a Toy Drive in-person due to COVID restrictions.
The beautiful thing is that PCH went virtual! You can check out their Amazon Smile Charity List or Target Toy List (links below) or go to their main site (https://www.phoenixchildrens.org/ways-help/donate/your-donation-helps) and click the links there! We have a huge need for stuffed toys, crayons/colored pencils, soft blankets, and pillows. There is the regular toy list, but if you're interested in toiletries our Care Carts are for families who don't have the basics like toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc. Either way, you'll make people's days!
Please do not reach out to me to drop off gifts in-person, we can't accept anything from kind strangers unfortunately
