A list of puns related to "To Sir with Love (song)"
It was so odd seeing that the tribute song was universally panned here. The song is from the 1967 movie To Sir, With Love, starring Sidney Poitier. It's about a black teacher in a white classroom and was a highly topical film for its time, being one of the first to touch on the sensitive social climate of the era. The song itself was rather popular and reached #1 on the Billboard charts.
The skit was more of an homage to this movie than a sappy, poorly-executed goodbye.

Seriously you guys made my day! Thank you for the awards as well.
I'm a not a native English speaker. I recently heard the song 'Piano Man' by Billy Joel. I instantly fell in love with the song. I don't know what it was about the song but it just struck a chord. What other similar songs do you recommend to someone who hasn't heard a lot of songs in English? .

Iβve been looking around for it, itβs one of those ads that shocked you, and definitely stuck in my head as a kid.
English driving safety ads are nowhere near as dark !!
(I think it had a ford escort in it)
About 5 months ago I was playing basketball at my local court and there was another guy playing some music through his speakers. One of the songs was an old country/classic sounding love song that really caught my ear. The chorus was very catchy and had a slow deep 'humming'.
I still am trying to find the song and have searched every combination of lyrics and 'humming' that I can recall with no luck.
Here's hoping reddit can help me out.
It sound like it was an old country song, the voice was very Johnny Cash. The premise of the song was something along the lines of finding his way or coming back to his girl.
I know this is vague, and odds are slim but I am out of options.

Am I the only one who thinks that Zachβs verse as the Frenchman is actually super relatable? Iβve rewatched the skit many times and am absolutely floored how on point his assessment of Cotes de Roses is.
To give some context. I'm falling in love with someone that lives in another state. I'm a little bit scared, but i need some music for this situation.
