[Wizard Of Oz Dorothy Gale](https://preview
... keep reading on reddit β‘Tik Tok was a robot created by L. Frank Baum more than 100 years ago (1907). He is counted among the first robots in literature. He is not sentient. He is clockwork, made of copper, and mostly humanoid (other than a completely spherical torso). He can't feel pain, has extraordinary strength, and is loyal to Dorothy Gale. (Btw obv he was not in The Wizard of Oz film but also was a character from a later book.)
#TikTok may be terrible, but Tik Tok just wanted to keep Dorothy safe.

About Oz Shaving:
Oz Shaving is a small business founded by Ian Deurmeier (u/Tinmanwoodworks) that operates out of Overland Park, Kansas. Initially named Tinman Woodworks, the company produced custom brushes for wet shavers. The company renamed as Oz Shaving and added Oz-themed software to the wet shaving lineup.
I especially like this brandβs use of Oz fantasy tropes. We certainly have plenty of Americana/history-themed products in the wet shaving space, so this branding inherently appeals to my inner nerd.
Brush Handle:
Named after one of their soap lines, I ordered a βTik-Tokβ brush through the Etsy store. Most of the brushes from Oz Shaving appear to be themed after a product line or a character from the Oz books. For example, the βTornadicβ brush has a tornado-shaped swirl embedded in clear resin. The somewhat unusual shape of the handle appears to be the primary defining characteristic of the Tik-Tok brush line as Iβve seen several versions of this handle with very different color schemes/resins.
The handle is actually a bit bigger than I was expecting. This is a larger barrel-style brush that would be too wide for most brush stands. The symmetrical shape of the brush is both pleasing and ergonomic, and I really like the substantial heft of the large handle.
The styling of the brush is equally impressive. The handle is composed of black resin overlaid with copper leaf that is embedded in a clear resin. Unlike many other handles on the market that use gold or copper flecks embedded in a single resin, the 3-D structure of the copper leaf is maintained in the clear resin and really pops against the black resin background.
Recommendation:
Oz Shaving makes great handles that would fit pretty much anyone from beginners to seasoned wet shavers. The fit and finish of the handle is excellent and the styling is unusual and appealing. If youβre looking for a handle that will stand out from the other SOTDβs on /r/wetshaving, this is a fantastic option.
The one caveat is that Iβd recommend asking for clarification about a brush handleβs dimensions if youβre expecting the handle to fit a specific brush stand. I get the sense that many of the handles would work just fine, but this is a shaving brush artisan who clearly doesnβt stick to the well-trodden path.
A brief history of Gel Tips:
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβve been using resin for nearly 10 years. Iβve been selling on etsy, my own site, and doing pop-ups.
Now that itβs mainstream and is starting to fall off, my sales have tanked. When I do pop ups and markets, everyone always goes βOhh i know what this is, Iβve seen the tik toks,β or βi can make this myself.β
It used to be something I could live off of and paid my bills, ever since it went mainstream I barely make any profits. I make beautiful sculptures, make my own molds, and have virtually no bubbles because I use a pressure pot, but since people see tik toks, they think they can also make the same stuff as me.
I get messages of people telling me my stuff is too expensive because they can buy {insert low quality resin, cheap molds, etc.} and make it themselves. I tell them go ahead, whatever.
They also donβt use protection. I have to use a respirator and change filters, wear gloves, etc. and have people tell me βyou donβt actually have to do all that.β YES YOU DO!! Read about the thousands of people whoβve had terrible reactions due to long-term resin exposure.
I have a rather large following online Iβll admit, and have pioneered a lot of techniques that people use for tik toks and such. Itβs such a slap in the face when people try to tell ME how to make my stuff, with techniques that I practically invented. I know resin is nothing new, but people werenβt doing these things 10 years ago.
Now Iβve had to get a βnormalβ job, and am at a loss in sales where I used to more than break even. Ok rant over.
But I just got to apply for partnership today because of tik tok. Please donβt underestimate the power of platforms with algorithms. Yes it may not work for some people, but itβs definitely something to consider.
For context: some people on Tik Tok think people who are of a different race/ethnicity canβt cosplay the characters in Encanto, and that itβs racist to do so (as a Hispanic I donβt see what the problem is with people of a different race/ethnicity cosplaying as long as they arenβt offensive, but hey, maybe Iβm wrong) So, is it racist?
SOMETHING is going on
Not sure what. Not sure if these 2 items are related.
A) Susquehanna (one of the largest short sellers of GME shares) is looking to sell $500 million of its Tik Tok stake
a) Tik Tok is being valued in $250 billion to $370 billion range
b) Susquehanna owns 15% of Tik Tok. That's $37 billion to $55 billion
c) If you want to know how Susquehanna got 15% of Tik Tok -> https://www.inquirer.com/business/tiktok-susquehanna-bytedance-walmart-oracle-microsoft-philadelphia-fortune-15-billion-20201003.html

FB is down 5.27% After Hours (it was up 0.32% during market hours)
Snapchat is down 23.35% after hours (down 0.71%)
For a company of $118 Billion Market Cap (SNAP) to be down 23.35% in After Hours is SUS as heck
Intel down 6.79%
Twitter down 3.52%
Anyone know what is going on?
Edit 1: Adding a Few Updates
A) CryptoeStuff was massively pumped earlier in the week, and is now down 3.51% (a commenter said 5% so might be more). Overall cryptoestuff is down 2.37% in last 24 hours across all coineses. It may or may not be liquidation
B) Yes, earnings are an issue. That explains Intel. That does not explain Snap being down 23.35%. A company of $118 Billion Market Cap being down 23.35% is quite a big deal
C) Littlet98 had a good point - There is expected to be possible Evergrande Default - some are saying this week, some next
D) Susquehanna selling TikTok is a slightly bigger deal than peanuts. Turns out they funded Tik Tok Founder's first company in China, and have been in a working relationship with him for 10+ years. Tik Tok is not a company you sell out of. There are so many other stocks they could sell out of. We should try and figure out what other companies they are selling out of, and whether this is a move by Susquehanna to liquidate parts of more than one of their holdings
E) TaraDon's Social Network could de
... keep reading on reddit β‘I read the news every morning, The only social media I have or use is reddit. In the last few weeks I have seen an increase in articles that news.com.au have basically re written starting with the lines of :tik toker who goes by the handle xyz , followed by screenshots of the actual selfie/background photo that most tiktoks use. What is going on and whatβs happening to journalism? Do we not have enough current events too fill the quota or something. Now I know news.com.au is not the most professional website but this tops the cake. They are now just as bad as the herald sun. Does anyone have a go to news site they use and has it followed suit?
