Hey everyone!
So, it’s actually been a good while since I left low-end gaming behind me, maybe nearly a decade but alas, I’m back to my roots after my laptop GPU decided to kill itself yesterday evening.
My desktop which I put together around 2015-ish was AMAZING for its time for me. It had an Athlon x4 860k, 12 gigs of RAM (yeah weird amount I know) and a 2 GB 750 Ti graphics card.
Played everything I threw at it until 2018 when I upgraded my college laptop which was simply better then my desktop. It has a 2GB 1050, i5 8300H and 16 gigs of RAM along with an SSD which my desktop lacked.
Fast forward to now where I need to use my aforementioned desktop again, and after a fresh reinstall and even with an SSD now everything feels super sluggish in-game, laggy and even my audio lags behind sometimes. This happens in Fortnite the most, a game which used to be a cakewalk for my rig back when it just came out in 2018.
Even with everything turned down and with 60 frames locked it still stutters here and there, dips framerates and it’s just not a pleasant experience. It’s just “meh”.
Funnily enough, Tarkov runs fine though although I have only played an offline raid, not an online one.
Has this CPU and GPU combo fallen that far from grace?! Am I doing something wrong? Not gonna lie, my view of this beloved desktop that could run everything back in the day is kinda shattered and it ruined the nostalgia a bit, but of course all good things must come to an end.

Something to note, Kenny Atkinson has previously mentioned during the preseason that he's not actively trying to get another HC job any time soon citing that he prefers the stability & job security of the Assistant Coach position (I also would prefer the Warriors' coaching staff do not lose the main stats/analytics guy + 1 of 2 assistants in charge of our offense):

Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese etc are comical geniuses that will forever be unmatched, and comedy will never again be as good... They could make literally anything into a laughing matter, and everyone no matter of taste etc could find enjoyment in their humour, as it really suited everyone and anyone and is truly timeless.
