/ SPOILERS / Theory about the final battle against the army of the banes and colour gods in the Blinding White.

Following the battle to destroy and kill the green bane in the second book and the difficulty inherent within attacking a God and Bane even before they’ve fully ascended it’s always been a huge hurdle for Breaker and Gavin in the final battle.

My theory is that they will follow the path that I believe allowed Ludonicious to conquer the nine kingdoms in the beginning. His utilisation of black luxin, because without using a luxin that isn’t controlled by a god and bane, the task of destroying all of them seems impossible.

Given the Chromeria will have to face all seven banes at one time, they will have to rely up on colours such as black that aren’t controlled by the gods.

Assignment 28 - Colour Theory

Please read the class first

For this assignment, I want you go find matching colour combinations.

Print out a colourwheel and find :

A scene that has just 2 opposing colours or use postprocessing to change a photo to make them opposing. An easy way to do this is find the first colour and make the rest match. So for example, bring an orange subject and shoot it in front of a blue sky, find a magenta subject to bring to a green field and so on...

If you want to make it harder, try 3 colours that combine well.

WTT: Alexander Chesapeake, Colour Theory, Reverse Radical, Golden Summer, History Lesson Vol. III, Bondi Sick As

I've got too many pedals that I'm not using and I'd like to get these to good homes.

Some notes: the Chesapeake is a an unused dark blue color scheme, the Golden Summer is an older hard-click switch model, the Reverse Rad was a limited run and the HL Vol. III is what became the Quadrant. Instead of Lo-Fi, the fourth mode is "1998".

The Sick As and Colour Theory are the normal styles. Colour Theory probably could use a firmware update. Only the Sick As and the Chesapeake were ever (lightly) gigged with. No boxes / manuals.

Primarily looking for an EHX Synth 9, a Meris Enzo or Ottobit Jr., Boss CE-2 or Dimension C or some other weird, guitar synth pedals. Or killer 80's stuff - whatever you think is cool.

Not opposed to combining multiple pedals if something was more expensive (MOOD or any rad CBA or Red Witch pedals) and I can def. send photos of them, just couldn't figure out how to add an image before work.

I have some other neat Alexander Pedals that I'm not 100% sold on parting with yet (new Radical Delay DX, Syntax Error SN 0001 and Super Rad SN 0001), but if you've got something really dope that you aren't using either - I'm pretty open to hearing any offers !

Theory on Gem colours and courts.

TL;DR It's all politics! The diamonds are limited to which gems they can create as a means of checks and balances. Yellow has more combat oriented gems (topaz), but lacks or can't create utility gems (sapphire, aquamarine), leading to having to work with other diamonds.

#Greens and Red.

Green gems are the ones needed by all of gem society and each court. Technicians, pilots and captains are included here. They can serve under one or multiple diamonds depending on their orders. Each diamond can produce these gems as they wish, as each needs them and they're too important to have regulated to one gem.

Red gems are in the same "necessity" pool as green ones but much less distinguished. Everyone has rubies and rutiles as their bog standard grunt. This could also apply to Amethysts.

Additionally, bright red is useful for identification, no need to worry about hitting something valuable when you know the expendables are brightly coloured red.

#Court gems

Here's where we see the diamond politics at play, each diamond's court contains unique gems only they produce. This could be to build interdependence between them so no one diamond can betray the others easily.

For example, Yellow can upgrade her Amethysts with the beefier and badder topaz, but she can't also produce sapphires and would have to rely on any blue might lend her. This limits what she can do alone, if she tried producing aquamarines or sapphires and was caught, she might be punished by the other diamonds. Blue has more utility gems but in a straight up fight her forces would be crushed by Yellow's, so only her having sapphires would keep her from being attacked by other diamonds.

This is all assuming whoever made the diamonds in the first place thought they'd end up killing one another, either through some god-complex or greek-god-esque pettiness. This keeps each diamond reliant on the others and the empire safe from civil conflict. (But then Rose had to muck it up!)

#Hessonite and variant gems.

Hessonite may be a special Emerald gem commissioned by Yellow, either as emeralds with a much more aggressive mentality or commanders of those dropships we saw in stranded.

other diamonds might create specialized variants of other gems with colors off of normal but not fully in a diamonds court color.

#EDIT: Sapphires and Zircons.

Alright, missed the line confirming each D has her own sapphires. Point still stands, blue still has aquamarine, and everyone having a sapphire keeps the power bal

Spoilers S1 S2 & S3 colour theory

I use the Colour wheel everyday in my work and I couldn’t help but notice the colour themes for each of the seasons so far.

S1 uses the reoccurring theme of purple, S2 orange and it seems as though S3 is blue.

What I have found interesting is that S1 and S2 both purple and orange are secondary colours where as S3 (at least hinted at from the end of S2) is blue. Blue this far is the only primary colour.

The only way to get make secondary colours is by mixing primary colours. Primary colours being Red, Blue and Yellow.

Given that nothing happens by accident in this show and that if they had followed pattern then the next natural progression would have been green colour theme (the last secondary colour) They make such a point of setting each season to a colour that it seems that it could mean something.

I wonder if this will all make sense in the end.

Thoughts???

Captain_BreLion's Admiral Colour Theory and why the White Hunter Smoker might be Fleet Admiral EoS

Original Theory: SPECULATION "WHITE CHASE" SMOKER WILL BE THE FINAL FLEET ADMIRAL by Captain_BreLion

Can't believe I've never heard this before... neglecting the speculation about Smoker becoming Fleet Admiral (I don't really see him as the type to want that job), there is one part of the theory that stuck with me immediately:

The new generation of Admirals are based on secondary colours and their personalities match a mix of the two Admirals whose colours they are formed from

  • Fujitora (Wisteria/Purple Tiger) - a mix of Aokiji's calm serene strength and Akainu's terrifying damnation = a balanced (but terrifying) Admiral

  • RyokugyΕ« (Green Bull/Cattle) - a mix of Aokiji's lazy justice and Kizaru's unclear justice = the most lazy Admiral yet

  • ?????? (Orange ?????) - mix of Kizaru and Akainu = terrifyingly strong and fast with absolutely-uncertain morality??

It's fun to try to see how this third one could turn out, and an even older theory by L o g i a guessed that Coby would become this Orange-themed admiral in the end and similarly guessed that Smoker would be Fleet Admiral because "White = all colours combined".

Who do you think will be the Orange admiral? Coby is more pink, but still... L o g i a made good points about the Momotaro story having a crab that the dog (Akainu) tries to kill (just like he did at Marineford) and Coby definitely reminds me of a crab.

The OA: Colour Palette Theory

So, obviously it's pretty solid that Part 1's colour palette relates alot the the third eye and it's Chakra colour... but- I am rewatching Part 1 and I realised something. What if the colour palette was symbolic to Nina. We know she's the Original Angel so of course the universe must know that. Nina has an interaction with her father and we they say "What's one way to fight the cold?" And Nina says "Become colder than it is", then the OA's voice over says something on the lines of him teaching her bravery that day. That must mean that in order to beat the cold, you must be brave. What if this was a sign for The OA, the boys and BBA that they must be brave in order to fight the dimension and do unspeakable things, like travelling to a different dimension

[Spoilers] Outfit Colour Theories

I noticed that a lot of key characters of the show have swapped out their colourful outfits for an entirely black look. At first I thought it may be symbolic of everyone uniting to fight the wights so they take up the colours of the nights watch, but given certain characters actions that kind of diminishes the theory. I also find it interesting that next episode both Cersei and Dany change their black and white outfits, to matching red, grey and silver outfits. It seems like some intentional symbolism but I'm curious to what you guys think.

27 - Colour Theory

introduction

Composition isn't just about where to place elements in your photo, it's also about colours and light. Colours are a huge factor in the feelings we get when you look at a photo, in deciding if you like a photo or not, so also in making a photo.

Colour theory is a great help in this as it allows you to figure out what colours go well with others, or not at all.

what is it?

In short, colour theory tells us that opposing colours go well together, where others don't go so well. The tool used to help with this is called a colourwheel.

Example of a colourwheel (wiki)

Good examples of this can be seen in modern television where you can tell what movie it is by just looking at the colour processing that is used. good video about this

The theory

Open the colourwheel I linked above and take a look at it.

Now, pick any colour, and look at the colour at the other side of the wheel. Those go well together when it's just those 2.

This is one I made that uses this: Blue goes well with orange so the water goes with the sunset, his skin, his pants are blue as well so it all comes together.

So, find opposing colours if you can, they go well together.

What also works is 3 colours, each at 1/3 of the wheel.

So, violet goes together with the combination of Green and red, but you'll need both or them or it won't work.

4 colours also works... each at 1/4th of the wheel. But you will need all 4 present in the photo or it won't work.

A usefull tool is this interactive colourwheel that allows you to pick a colour and you get schemes depending on how many colours you want to use.

The effect of colour

Colours influence how we feel. Something red is agressive, warm, passionate where something blue is cold, calculated, ice and we put people in greenrooms before a TV show to calm the nerves, you paint something orange to make people carefull and so on.

This site has a good overview of all the colours and their effects on the viewer.

RED

Red is a special colour in photography. It pulls attention and will be easily burned (single colour over exposing). So when working with models, or a still life, have them not dress red, or make them wear red if you want this effect.
