I'm mostly looking for TV shows but if you have other recommendations that would be great too! I'm including other stuff I like cause I can't really describe what they have in common, but I feel like they have a lot in common?
Video games: I really liked Night in the Woods (along with the companion games), Sally Face, Oxenfree, What Remains of Edith Finch, Hatoful Boyfriend, the Lisa trilogy, Yume Nikki, Detroit: Become Human
Movies (live action) : The Social Network, most of Xavier Dolan's films though my favourite was I Killed My Mother, Heathers, Whiplash, Inglorious Basterds and most of Tarantino's movies, Karate kid, the Matrix, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, a lot of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill's duo stuff too like Blues Brothers and Two Missionaries, Blindspotting. I also have a soft spot for movies that are just filmed nicely.
Animated stuff: Bee and Puppycat, Aggretsuko, Bojack Horseman, The Hunchback Of Notredame, The Triplets of Belleville, Song of the Sea, Over the Garden Wall, Aristocats, Spiderman into the Spiderverse, Coraline, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Children of the Whales, Death Note, Spirited Away, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Allegro non Troppo, the Nightmare Before Christmas, WALL-E, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Frankenweenie, Perfect Blue, and Princes and Princesses (you know, that silhouette one), Everything Will be OK by Don Hertzfeldt, and There's a Man in the Woods (that animation on youtube)
Books: Catcher in the Rye, a Darker Shade of Magic, It's Kind of a Funny Story, the Little Prince, the Collector, Sherlock Holmes, Lord of the Flies, Isaac Asimov's short stories, the Illustrated Man, the Gone series,

Here is my presentation for the Greater Japan festival focusing on the history of Japanese game shows in the American Market. You will notice that my audio is missing for the first part, I forgot to turn on my microphone so I had to dub in my audio after the fact. Audio returns around the 17 minute mark. I don't enjoy seeing anybody cry almost as a rule. But man does it suck to watch "Jenna the Vile" be cruel and useless aaalllll the time; and, to have "Adam the bizarre" talk crap to her about the stews and his roommate just to look cool was just not fun to watch. I don't enjoy watching Ciara struggle with her justified jealousy, and I thought Parker was sweet and getting unfair abuse before, but now... He is saying some pretty darn aggressive things all of a sudden. Maybe he's just finally had it? All that combined meant I wasn't enjoying the show and was just thinking "yeah I'm gonna turn this" when suddenly Jenna suggests a hotel and gets shot down. I was like "Yes!!!!" I admit I enjoy seeing her get taken down a notch, but also it's good that the two of them won't be unjustly group bashing together anymore bc it will be more awkward now hopefully. I hope Paget Jenna or Adam gets fired soon, and some preview scenes did seem like someone does get fired this season. but of course it probably won't be one of them. Although, the banner someone suggested yesterday did not include Paget and Ciara so maybe it is one or both of them after all. Stay tuned.
