A list of puns related to "The Shipper"
#Part 5 β Mists of Pandaria
This is the fifth part of my write-up about World of Warcraft. You can read the first four by clicking the links below.
Part 1 - Beta and Vanilla
Part 2 - Burning Crusade
Part 3 - Wrath of the Lich King
Part 4 - Cataclysm
An Unexpected Trademark
It was mid-2011. The final patch of Cataclysm was on its way, and Blizzcon was just around the corner. The subject of World of Warcraftβs next expansion had begun to gain traction once again, and as was tradition, the internet became awash with leaks. Some promised Old Gods, some foresaw KulβTiras or Zandalar or Nazjatar, TelβAbim or Suramar or Sargeras β in short, players made every possible prediction in the vain hope that one of them might be proven right.
But none of them were.
No one could have predicted Pandaria.
It wasnβt until the user βMynscβ went wading through the US Patent and Trademark Office website in search of info about Titan β Blizzardβs βopen-secretβ new game in development β that they stumbled upon a recently-filed trademark by the name of βMists of Pandariaβ. Among all the theory-crafting and scavenging for information, it had been there a week, out in the open where anyone could find it, and yet completely overlooked.
It was immediately dismissed by many users as a book, a figurine, an in-game microtransaction perhaps. They cast it aside and turned to the more realistic leaks. But upon further inspection, the trademark was for a game, distributed on CD-ROMs with instruction manuals and guides. It had to be WoW content.
Okay, the community said. Then it was a patch.
>βthey don't trademark patches. If they never did before, why now?β
Then it had to be some kind of trading-card game spin off. Definitely not an expansion.
>βThe international class used in the trademark is the same as they used for previous expansions. The timing and information for the Mists of Pandaria trademark matches that of The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm. If this i

sorry just had to get that out there
Iβve seen a lot of dudes lately on here commenting about their love for Vi and Caitlyn. Saying theyβre cute and you want them to live happily every after and itβs not because youβre attracted to them. As a gay woman it warms my heart to see wholesome support for these gals that doesn't come from your own sexual gratification. Sometimes I get defensive when I see men express their love for a wlw relationship (lol trauma sorry) but yβall have really helped me see the lighter side and with that I wonna say thank you and keep shipping our gal pals!
Only option Walmart could give is a refund. I joined Walmart+ just to improve my chances of getting one and it seemed to work but nope because now it's lost.
What a world. I'd bet ten bucks someone at OnTrac grabbed it.
As the title states, I bought a graphics card that was supposed to be a signed for delivery in December. The package was shipped by IBuyPower, and stated that the package needed to be signed for. Fast forward to the date of the delivery, while at work, I get a notification that the package was delivered to my home, both my wife and I were at work during this time. Lo and behold, no package, I immediately check the tracking app, and it says that I signed for it, I obviously didn't. IBP processed a claim with UPS, but it got rejected due to them "having" a signature on file. I file a dispute to appeal the decision and submit a timecard and other evidence that I did not sign for it to UPS: alas the claim was rejected for a second time. IBP closed its case and said, "at this point there is nothing we can do", I filed a credit card dispute with American Express, but I just received an email saying they side with the business IBP. I am lost in what to do and worry that I may get shafted into paying for a 900 GPU that I never received. Any suggestions would be EXTREMELY appreciated!
This seems almost crazy to me. I spent over an hour carefully repacking this 77" 8K Samsung, and when the drivers arrived, they were shocked that I had done that. Apparently no one repacks their TV's?
I asked how they were expected to transport this super-thin huge TV back to the warehouse or whatever without a box, and the guy said they'd verify the return but mark it as physically unreturnable because it wouldn't make it back without damage, and they would get charged for the damage. So it's their process to just leave it vs. risk trying to transport a naked $3800 television in a box truck.
I was floored, and recovered just enough to make a joke about how maybe I should have tossed all the packaging, and the guy just laughs and says "next time you probably will".
I mean. Watching them bounce the box down the steps and rather indelicately stuff it in the truck...and then kindof toss the separate box I'd used for the remote/stand/cords/accessories in behind it told me that the TV probably isn't going right back on the shelves...but I never expected that Costco really would approve a $3800 return without getting a physical product back.
Maybe it's different from transport service to transport service, idk? If the TV wasn't so crappy, I'd really be wishing I'd tossed the packaging, LOL.
Okay I am here to get controversial so here goes:
I am MAD AT ACE (well not mad but disappointed).
Let's rewind for a second shall we? From Nancy's perspective she has saved Ace a few times, he got super mad at her for throwing it all away to Celia in order to save him. She showed up at his door TWICE (once he peaced on a road trip with Amanda and once after he texted her). Circumstances can be blamed for some of this but Ace has acted like an underdog from jump and if he keeps acting that way he's going to lose his chance with her. He's got this whole, "I need to make something of myself" thing going on and Nancy is over here fine with who he is.
I get that Park had the truth serum on his side for the big coat closet moment but let's be honest, if it was between Park and Ace in terms of the time it would take for them to say their feelings, Park would get there much faster. He wants the chance to be with her and he's taking it. I don't want Park to be bad or evil or have ulterior motives, I want this to be the basic mechanics of one of them way less afraid to at least try to take a chance with her and it happened to be Park.
Ace has thrown away several opportunities to make his feelings known and it irks me. He can't keep sitting on the bench and wondering why it isn't working out. I was livid that after Park left and asked her out that Ace walked over and had ALL THE CHANCES to say let me explain about the text. Nancy even specifically asked to make sure he hadn't seen her in the coat closet because she was again holding out hope that he was going to SAY THE WORDS that she has been waiting for. He could have said something about not having truth serum but that he was going to be honest anyway. Nancy is a certified hottie and if he wants her, he needs to make moves to prove he wants to be with her. At this point I am all in with Park, at least he was honest even after the truth serum that he regrets nothing and he wants to take her out. That's a man who is going for what he wants, if Ace isn't going to try then he doesn't deserve her.
That's my unpopular opinion. I would love to have Ace get it together and change my mind but I am not feeling his current sad sack nonsense.
Caera as a girls' name has the meaning "beloved; friend". Caera is a variant form of Cara (Latin, Irish, Gaelic). This information is taken from this website. (I was searching this to check if I'm pronouncing it correctly btw.)
I REFUSE to believe the dual meaning of Beloved and friend is a coincidence. Turtleme knew exactly what he was doing when he picked this name and when he introduced my girl. Just like the name, she could end up as a Beloved or a friend. At least that's what the author wants us to think. Such a Big brain move from the author.
Am I overthinking this? Possibly yes. But it makes me giggle nevertheless.
Been shipping for a very long time now. When I was younger I tend to read fanfictions that are set in Hogwarts, Head Boy/Girl trope and all that jazz. Also I disliked war stories. But now I found an appreciation for them. Also I prefer post-Hogwarts stories now. And lastly I used to absolutely hate stories where either Draco or Hermione has been married before or has a child with another person but as I grow older the novelty of being someone's first has worn off so I don't mind them, actually found them quite refreshing as it usually portrays a more mature Dramione. What do you guys think?
I've seen in many famdoms solo stans are treated antis of the group. People would have included them in dont follow me categories., solo stans getting cancelled, group stans advocating love all the members and stay away from people who like only one members ,etc etc
I get that they can be annoying and stuff but how are shippers any different? They "support" 2 members instead of one. Atleast solo stans posts stuffs about their fav member's projects or stuff they do in group, whereas shippers stick to a weird narrative and most of the time only post about irrelevant stuffs like their target members standing next to each other, zoom in background to see if the members' hands are touching and sometimes even post vile shit about other members. Nothing they are doing is relevant for the group or the members, but still they get away with most of the things solo stans can't...
Itβs 2022, but even two years after Rise of Skywalker and well into a global pandemic, it continues to be a common misperception in, and occasionally out of, Star Wars fan communities that Rian Johnson chose to transform the trajectory of the movies away from Rey as a biological Skywalker and towards Rey and Kylo as a romantic pair.
And time over time again, especially in certain circles, JJ Abrams is heralded as a valiant champion of the Rey (is a biological) Skywalker movement, a creative whose post-TFA outline supposedly included pairing Rey with a particular ex-Stormtrooper or a Resistance pilot, or with no one; an outline that was then foiled by Rian.
Others may not describe JJβs skills in the same way, but echo the sentiment that he was someone who was simply pigeonholed into a romance for TROS by TLJ or the studio, and that neither JJ (nor Kasdan) set up any romantic threads for Reylo in TFA.
Unfortunately for those people, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of writing my own long-winded thesis out of whole cloth, I will simply redirect readers towards those receipts, with the necessary context and commentary attachedβ¦
To begin, JJ told a fan in the audience during a film festival in 2016 that Reyβs parents werenβt in the movie:
>βReyβs parents are not in Episode VII. So I canβt possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too.β (Source)
Han, Leia, and Luke are all in TFA. By default, she was probably never going to be the child of any one of them, and with that in mind, even the possibility of Rey being Kylo Renβs cousin at the time seem, narratively speaking, slim.
For the record, I personally believe that, although JJ likely didnβt have much planned past TFA, he was probably most interested in having Rey be a nobody (albeit, in a much different way than Rian ended up doing) or a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi, before Ep. IX. I never thought she was a Skywalkerβit was way too obvious of a setup, and the story being told in TFA before TLJ or TROS came along seemed to aggressively set up any serious future threads away from a Skywalker lineage reveal, while bringing them closer to a Nobody or (more distantly) a Kenobi one.
In June 2013, JJ was quizzed about the possibility of an on-screen βlove storyβ for the new Star Wars sequel trilogy in a French newspaper:
... keep reading on reddit β‘And what's more scary is how normalised it is in the fandom. It's just so...emotionally exhausting.
BTS released their 2022 seasons greeting yesterday, and Jimin's concept was an alley cat, who likes shiny things. Of course he killed it, and everything was fun till, well... some shippers decided to ruin the fun. This time Yoonminers at the crime scene, I didn't know that ship still existed? There is just this really really creepy, sexually deviant way they talk about JM that gives me the heebie-jeebies. It's genuinely unsettling. Are there Jimin biased Yoonminers? Never seen one. When it comes to RPF, I have never understood the appeal but it's tolerable so far it is kept out of public spaces. Unfortunately, Yoonminers just reminded me of why I find it weird af in the first place. Idols are human beings not your toys to insert whatever sexual perversion your deranged minds come up with using their real name and image, and worse you put it up on Twitter of all places, where they visit, are you for real?!
As if that is not enough, Taekookers focus on your ship challenge, failed as usual. Anytime Jm and Jk have the slightest interaction, they crawl out of the sewers to drag JM... unfailingly. I don't even understand why they get mad ONLY when JM interacts with Jk? I don't see this energy when JK has interactions with other members. I don't even have the strength to rant, it's just exhausting.
Everything is about shipping now in the fandom. And toxic shippers operate freely within the fandom dynamics, proudly tweeting the most disgusting things we would ratio antis to the hell and back for. Someday, this whole thing will backfire and we won't be able to deal with the repercussions.
A lot of ronmione shippers say that the tent dance is all about friendship, but Yates confirmed that there is a clear sexual tension betwen them. Oops!
