A list of puns related to "The Scheme"
They said that they are going to axe body spray.
It'd make cents off so many levels.
/edit:rephrased punchline
They are calling it marks-ism
Yeah, it was quite the racket
The one that never got built
The Pillsbury Doughboy, remembered best as "Pop N Serve", and/or "Pop N Fresh", died yesterday of a severe yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy will be buried in this lightly greased coffin.
Dozens of celebrities will turn out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch.
The grave site is expected to be piled high with flours.
Aunt Jemima will deliver the eulogy and lovingly describe Doughboy as "a man who never knew how much he was kneaded".
Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers.. He was considered a very smart cookie, but wasted much of his dough on half-baked schemes.
Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop tart.
The funeral will be held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
It was the very first pyramid scheme.
His half-baked scheme didn't work out the way he had planned.
No, I'm not a smart shopper.
(I do this in front of the soon to be eyerolling wife. My boy still to young to "affect")
(This works where I live since the one grocery chain of stores branded their loyalty card scheme with the name "smart shopper")
The Egyptians with their pyramid scheme.
I can't remember his name - but the guy who ran that Ponzi scheme - he sure made off with a lot of money.
My wife was telling our group a story of how she and her flat-mates got screwed by their landlords (property managers, not the property owners) in England. Right before they were due to refund everyone's security deposits, they took all the money, closed the business, and buggered off to Egypt. I asked her if they set up a multilevel marketing campaign.
You know... a Pyramid Scheme?
My wife and I were trying to do-the-do yesterday, but alas, our son woke up from his nap, so my wife had to go take care of him. While she was gone, I schemed up the perfect idea.
When she came back, I was hiding under all the covers on the bed, and when she pulled the covers back I asked:
Hey, you wanna be spies and have under-cover sex?
So I bought a shirt a while ago that has a deer in the classic CMYK color scheme with it's antlers in he form of hashtags. My older cousin asked me why I got it while eating our Easter dinner. I replied with, "It only cost me ten bucks" My little cousin laughed and everyone else groaned.
My dad is a night owl and my mum is an early bird, meaning he has a good few hours to plot and scheme his dadjokes...
Well the other evening, he decided to scare the living daylights out of my mum by drawing a face on a melon, stuffing it in a hoodie with rubber-gloves, shoes and jeans and posed it in our morning room.
Now my mum gets up real early, and walks around the house in a grumpy daze, grumbling, scratching and squinting and whatnot with a grim face looking for something to nag about, so you can imagine the sheer pride he (probably) felt wrapped up in bed with that dumb dadjoke grin from his "Hilarious prank", to hear a loud "AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" coming from across the hall.
Needless to say i'm pretty sure she found something to nag about that morning.
She's got a friend over and we are getting ready to turn in for the night. We are letting our guest know what's ours is hers and my wife says to the kids "You know where the pop is" and I said the obvious "I'm right here".
Not great in the scheme of dadjokes but I got the best reaction because 1. My daughter rolled her eyes 2. Her friend thought it was funny and 3. The fact that her friend thought it was funny annoyed my daughter.
Veteran Pillsbury spokesman Pop N. Fresh died Wednesday of a severe yeast infection. He was 71. He was buried Friday in one of the biggest funerals in years. Dozens of celebrities turned out including Mrs. Butterworth, the California Raisins, Hungry Jack, Betty Crocker, and the Hostess Twinkies. The graveside was piled high with flours, as longtime friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Fresh as a man who "never knew he was kneaded". Fresh rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a smart cookie, and wasted much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Still, even as a crusty old man, he was a roll model to millions. Fresh is survived by his second wife. They had two children, and one in the oven. The funeral was at 3:50 for 20 minutes.
