What are some movie misconceptions? For example: Rambo doesn't actually kill anyone in First Blood, Jason Vorhees does not appear in the original Friday the 13th, etc.
Some of the preconceptions we have about certain films are so engrained in our minds that we find it surprising when we learn that the truth is a lot different than we thought. For example:
Everyone knows Rambo as this action hero killing machine....but his first movie is a thoughtful character piece about a Vietnam vet and he doesn't intentionally kill anyone in it.
Similarly, Jason Vorhees is a horror slasher movie icon, but he's not even the killer in the first Friday the 13th! Then in the second one he doesn't even wear his iconic hockey mask. He gets the mask until the end of 3, uses it in 4, is not the killer in 5, and I'd argue that it's finally until 6 that he's truly iconified as the horror movie villain everyone knows and love.
Another classic one: Frankenstein is the name of the scientist, not the name of the creature.

Could Prime Rambo survive in the ATTACK ON TITAN VERSE?
Will Rambo in his prime be able to survive and even kill titans or will he be slaughtered like a normal civilian?

So am I the only one who played the Rambo DLC early?
I've been searching everywhere, but not one mention of the Rambo DLC having been accidentally released like the Trejo DLC.
I first played the game on January 8, PS5. Was not in the mood to let the 50 something GB patch finish downloading so I just started playing as it was. Upon finishing the tutorial, I got two new missions, both with placeholder titles, either "licensed mission" or "live event mission". The first I played was indeed Trejo's. But I also got a mission from the Rambo fan at the northeastern-most guerrilla camp. Mission had me go to a fort, invade it and steal an explosive arrow recursive bow and defend the fort from lots of NPCs while waiting for the Rambo fan to arrive, who ended up never coming and later apologized. Reward was to keep the nameless recursive bow that has a cool skin with the name Rambo visible.
So was this a common thing on the unpatched PS5 disc version? Or have I been the lucky one, cause I can't for the life of me find anything online pointing to this mission.

Rambo III (1988) is the epitome of ridiculous silly 80's over-the-top cheese.
This movie is litterally just Rambo in Afghanistan. I'm sold! Rambo fighting Soviets in Afghanistan, and meeting Afghan survivors of Soviet attacks. Aside from that, the movie is as simple and straight-forward as can get: Rambo has to rescue his mentor Colonel Trautman, who's been captured by the Soviets in Afghanistan. And that's really it. Is the plot thin? Yes. Does the movie take itself seriously, and also not? Yes. Is it over-the-top dumb fun? Oh, absolutly! Is it very 80's? Fuck yeah! A sweaty, bare chested, pants wearing, 80's hair and bandana rockin' Stallone, Richard Crenna, and Afghan rebels and survivors shooting some Soviet ass in Afghanistan.
- Guns? ✅
- Explosions? ✅
- A one-liner or two? ✅
- Laced with manliness? ✅
- Over-the-top ridiculous? ✅
It is 80's in a word.
Rewatching the Rambo Series for First Time in 15 Years.
Just finishing First Blood. Now, I know the Rambo series isn't known for dramatic acting, but I think folks need to give Stallone more credit for his actual acting abilities. That monolog he gives at the end to the Colonel when he breaks down was very well done. Like so much so it stood way out for me compared to the rest of the movie.
Anyways, that's all. Well done Stallone.

McClane and Wick had great lines, but Rambo's verse was hilarious as fuck, and the purpose of ERB is to portray historical figures and fictional characters in a satirical fashion.
In 1982’s First Blood, Rambo asks a woman if she knows his friend who served with him in Vietnam. She tells Rambo his friend is dead saying, “Cancer. Must have got it in Vietnam. From the orange stuff they sprayed around there.” How well known were the effects of Agent Orange in the early 80s?
Also, First Blood is based on a book published in 1972 right at the end of US involvement in Vietnam. I could not find a similar reference to Agent Orange in the book, but what would have been the understanding of its effects immediately following the Vietnam War?
What do I do now? While doing the Rambo character towers I forgot that I needed to do 15 throws in order to do the last tower. How can I get more throws in order to access the last tower? Hopefully what I’ve said here makes sense.
