I haven't read for quite some time. The last ones I particularly enjoyed were "The Graveyard Book" and "The Ocean at the End of the Lane". So I started reading Stardust (also by Neil Gaiman) but didn't get quite hooked like I did with the other 2 that I mentioned.
The last time this reading hiatus happened, I was saved by The Fault in our Stars.
So I don't really know if I have a "type".
Any recommendation?
Books that feel like The Ocean at the End of the Lane and One Hundred Years of Solitude
Both of these books give me a specific feeling. It's something like dread and whimsy, and while reading them I felt like I floated, it was all very surreal. I love the way both books were written, the sort of prose. I've already read all of Gaiman. Any suggestions?

I appreciate that you all have something to do, as I think we all do. However please recognize that you trying to skip traffic simply devalues our time and simply diminishes the value of all the rest of us . We all want to go home, however you’re attempt to cut the line simply worsens traffic and the self aggrandizing behavior devalues everyone else but those that cheat.

Perhaps additionally, those who sit in the line as opposed to using both lanes and merging correctly are just sheep. Merging is not an alien concept and should not be that difficult.

Is it possible that an underground cavern or ocean prevented the spawn of an end portal in a stronghold?
I’ve been exploring a stronghold pretty thoroughly. Even mining through deadends to check for unconnected passages. I still haven’t found an end portal room. What I have found, however, is a few natural forming lava pools, a cavern that butts up against the stronghold, as well as the ocean that comes pouring in if I drill into the wrong block.
Is it possible that one of these formations interrupted the spawn of a portal room? Or have I just not looked in the right spot?? (My brother and I have spent two hours looking for it)
