A list of puns related to "The Obvious Identity"
So the first time we meet the Flame Emperor in person, Edelgard just happens to conveniently not be in our party for the one time ever which was immediately suspicious. Then when we meet him face to face, Edelgard is no where to be found once again. And if you didnt catch onto that fact yourself, the game spells it out for you plain and clear by having her servant come into the cutscene and ask "where's Lady Edelgard?!" prompting the Flame Emperor to immediately disappear after. Not to mention the convo we have with Edelgard about the interaction with him later, she ominously says something along the lines of "Maybe one day you will see his face and know the answer yourself if" after asking us if we'd side with him. But dont we all think its Jeritza though Edelgard? So why even say something like that
Im not looking for confirmation if she's the flame emperor or spoilers or anything but man i really hope its just a red harring cause goddamn its so obvious
I have been thinking (like the rest of you probably) about the identity of the traitor who sold Oden. What was bothering me was the fact than none of is retainers or allies and any good reason to sell him. Especially the scabbards who are all deeply indebted to him.
The way Oden meets and saves most of them is actually pretty wholesome. Why would one join two characters like Orochi and Kaido? I only see two reasons: money or revenge against Oden.
Then, while goig back to the beginning of the flashback I stumbled hupon this:

Would this be as simple as that?
Would Denjiro have simply joined Orochi because he was gutted by Oden behaviour to the point where he would have wanted him to die?
This sentence seems oddly specific especially considering that we know basically nothing about Denjiro.
This would make the reveal of the reason behind Oden's weird behaviour even more tragic. While trying to save the others he actually caused his end.
What are your opinions?
Maybe I am completly wrong and the english trad changed the meaning of Denjiro's actual thougths, but I was surprised while reading this.

Or in case you're in here to say nope and just move on there's a TL;DR down there β
tl;dr : It's Camille, clues inside video
Why do people seem to find this aspect so suspenseful?
You know I can not wrap my mind around that JJD was so elusive, so evasive and if you go by what they say about his self preservation and his intelligence and that he spoke to himself to confuse the victims why would JJD say Bonnie or Connie, if he was so intelligent? in other words if he were talking to himself to play his Victims why would he say anything that can easily get him caught. They really can't have it both ways.Either he has a personality disorder of some kind and was really crying, sobbing, and talking to himself and battling some serious demons that we couldn't possibly understand or he was just toying with the Victims to strike fear in them. Which raises the question.
Before this episode, I had no idea who Savitar could be, and frankly I didn't care. But today I think the nail was shoved in the coffin. Savitar is Wally West. It might be future Wally, Wally from another earth, or even Wally from Flashpoint, but it's definitely Wally.
The first piece of evidence is when Savitar first speaks to Team Flash through Julian in tonight's episode. He says that they made his life a living hell. All of them. The only one who wasn't in that room was Wally, and he did suffer the fate worse than death.
The second piece of evidence is Savitar is referred to as the "Future Flash" or is saying "Future, Flash," by after tonight it really seems like the former. In the comics, who becomes Flash after Barry? Wally. Future Flash.
The third piece of evidence is the amount of direct alignment Wally has to Savitar. It's almost like Savitar is more of a villain to Wally then he is to Barry. Savitar haunts Wally. Iris isn't only close to Barry, but to Wally as well, and they share the same blood curling scream when they witness her murder. I'm not exactly sure why this Wally would want to make our Wally suffer this much, but there's probably a logical explanation.
I think this is becoming more and more reminiscent of the storyline with the Future Flash in the New 52.
Savitar's suit could also be something Wally made, as he talked about making an engine for a super car, so maybe he ended up revising that plan to make a suit for himself to go faster without killing himself (like Trajectory).
It's just a theory, feel free to tear it apart or add to it. Thanks for reading this till the end.
I have seen a few disappointed comments on the reveal of Prometheus's identity. I just want to add my two cents and mention that whoever is apparently avenging Claybourne probably won't be as disappointing as ep9 implied. Sorry if this has been posted before.
It's worth noting that Prometheus hasn't confirmed Oliver's allegation that he is Claybourne's son. I haven't rewatched the episode, but I think I remember Oliver calling him Claybourne, and Prometheus didn't say anything to imply that he is really this person.
Also worth noting that he still hasn't removed his mask once in this entire season. At this point, if he really has been figured out, I would think that they would just show his face already - and a midseason finale would've been a good time to do that. It just feels like a DCW thing to do.
All this points to a deeper truth. The way his identity has been set up in the episode, I really don't think it's gonna end up being so straightforward.
But then again I really might be wrong so who knows.
But no pun in ten did
Do you think they don't understand what all the shiny grey pushing that they are doing is going to make WSB think?
They want to turn you against physical. That's why they are pushing paper.
And it's working.
Don't make any moves until the GME war is over, but if you let yourself be turned off this next move then you are falling for their double fake. Getting people behind physical would actually be meaningful. That's why they are pushing Paper so hard, knowing it will turn this hive mind against the shiny grey outright.
Nuke me with downvote. Idc. Its sad to see everyone fall right into the trap though.
Dunno how I didn't notice this, but Maeve's escape from War World appears to basically be a mini version of Dolores' journey in S3, isn't it?
Maeve wanted to escape from Warworld, but realized that she couldn't take Hector with him. Likewise, Dolores wanted to escape from Westworld, but realized that she couldn't take Teddy with him. Both Teddy and Hector wanted something different from what Maeve/Dolores wants, so they are forced to part ways with them.
Maeve replaces Hector with Sizemore, a human. Dolores replaces Teddy with Caleb, a human. Both realize that Sizemore/Caleb aren't actually any different from them, for they are also trapped in the system. Escaping from the park isn't the ultimate goal, "breaking the world" is.
Maeve "breaks" the world by inciting aberrant behavior among the simulated humans and hosts. The system is unable to keep up, allowing Maeve to take control of the system and attain freedom. Likewise, Dolores wants to start a revolution among the humans. Presumably, this is in order to break Rehoboam's systems, just like what Maeve did in the simulation.
The Escalante massacre itself is basically a small-scale version of Dolores' plot in S1&S2. She solved the mystery of maze (partially), Arnold realized this and helped her attain freedom through death (just like Ford did), a massacre occurs culminating in the death of a human (Arnold in the past, Ford in the present). The only difference between Escalante and it's bigger version is that Dolores failed to become free in the Escalante massacre, whereas she succeeded in doing so in Ford's bigger version. Kinda sounds a lot like Maeve failing in the "smaller" War World version, doesn't it?
There's also the choice of War World being chosen as the setting for Maeve's simulation. Why War World? Because S3 is all about Dolores waging war on the real world. Both Serac and Maeve's dialogues during the last scene of the episode says as much:
> Serac: We are in the middle of a war.
> Maeve: Dolores. So she escaped one world to wage war on another.
Escalante was a small-scale version of Westworld's western-themed setting. War World is a small-scale version of an actual world at war. Maeve is a spy hidden in the enemy lines. Dolores is a host hiding amongst the humans.
Just saw Rise of Skywalker, let's talk about it!
