A list of puns related to "The Mushroom at the End of the World"
Let me start off by saying this trip was not my first, by far. But only my second on the funky fungus.
24 hours ago myself as well as four of my dearest friends each decided to eat four grams (four of us so obviously we all had to eat four as well!). All was well, everyone enjoyed talking about space travel and the future of cartoons, things of the such, while laying in a big cuddle puddle for 3 hours.
I was having the time of my life and then I had this very weird sensation that I NEEDED sunlight. So naturally I grabbed a bottle of water and told everyone Iβd be back shortly.
Off I went into the world, barefoot. (My first mistake.) I stumbled upon the playground within the apartment complex we had began our evening at. Hopped on the swing, started up some music, and starting swinging! It was amazing. Listening to Mr. blue sky while staring at the absolutely gorgeous blue sky I began to reach peak, or optimal speed (at least for my trip!).
This is when everything changed. I started to feel queasy and decided I should stop myself, when I realized, I donβt remember how to stop a swing. So I, like anyone, decided to jump off like a little kid at recess. This I regret. I landed on only one of my legs, completely stress fracturing my ankle. Only at the time I didnβt even realize, and felt I had done a great job! Iβm walking back to join the party and I can hardly walk. I call my friend who decides to venture out to help me back and end the night in the ER.
Iβm now at home with ibeuprophen and a chilly ice pack.
I think Iβll stick to acid after that.
TL:DR- Decided to take more mushrooms than every before and go swinging. Landing wrong on one leg and fractured my ankle, sending the rest of my night to the ER. Keep it on the couch.
#The first BYE round of the season sees Easts firmly at the top of the table and the mighty TIGERS, WARRIORS and to an extent, mighty DRAGONS following close behind. CRONULLA's steamroll to the finals has briefly abated while BRISBANE are rooted in the bottom 8 despite having a +41 F/A.

#For those that haven't played before - here's how it works
I'll set up a heading below for each game. If you wish, you can roll for your side. One person per team per round only obviously, illegitimate rolls excluded (wrong flair, edited post etc), errors in rolling will be excluded. The first roller counts. First in, best dressed - anyone can roll, there's no designated roller!!!! Roll just once or come every week, it's up to you. Easy to learn, all welcome.
#How to roll (Suggestions to improve realism welcomed)
To roll for your team, write the team name, then on the next line summon /u/rollme, the bot. The next line should read:
[[1d3*2+1d20*2-2 teamname]] for home team
[[1d20*2-2 teamname]] for away team.
Whatever each side rolls is their full time score, whoever scores most wins.
Results will be put at the top here in the post for easy reading and the competition table will be compiled!! Woo hoo.
Have a look under the "practice" header to see what others do.
#INJURY AND CRISIS RULES! YES THEY'RE BACK
A designated roller (the top scorer from the previous round) will roll a d20 in the thread (under the header "next week's crisis merchants". The results of the ro

Even when everything collapses around us, the least we can do is to be humane to each other and at least try to die out with compassion and an attempt to alleviate suffering for each other, rather than lie down in defeat or go out killing each other.
That is the worst case scenario. That if weβre nearing extinction anyways, at least go out compassionately and with a fight for the better.
In the non worst case scenario, these years are as much a trial of human resilience moreso than really any era before this. And weβd rather define ourselves with efforts - even the smallest ones - to do good in the face of dread, rather than complete defeatism (even though that is a natural psychological reaction too).
For those who easily claim that we are at the end and would prefer to just die anyways, consider that - once again, even if we ARE at the end, it is over proportionally vulnerable minorities, such as those in poverty, who will suffer the most. Humans do not die in equal pain, even if we are all too die.
At the very least, lend out a hand to those who will feel the effects of disasters the worst, and who are often the first to suffer from them.
I donβt believe we are at the end. We are at an incredibly crucial and fragile point in human history, yes, and possibly one that will end civilisations. But that we arenβt at the total end of the species. Suffering, whilst inevitable, does not have to be maximised. The smallest acts of compassion and an effort to minimise the pain to the planet and each other do not do nothing. In times like these, moreso than ever, they mean everything.
Talking to some coworkers about the coronavirus or other disasters which would mean the end of the world and they thought the first thing which needed doing - in a world with no clean water, no groceries, no medication, nothing - was to start repopulating.
so, people who have limited rations of food, water, etc will give up some of their rations for these new babies which dont need to be born
During the last chapter, I was going crazy thinking I was hearing a bit of music.
Imagine my relief when I discovered the music gently playing in the background. I thought it was a super nice touch.
Pretty good book though, not my favorite, but still pretty good. Solid 4/5 from me. Now to read some chapter summaries to see what Iβve missed. Iβve got The Great Hunt ready to go and listen to, but Iβm going to read a couple other books before I get to it. A few weeks probably.
Also, does that interview at the end contain any series spoilers?
Hello ! Im looking for a book I read in 9th grade for school work, back in 2008. I read the book in French (Im a french canadian) but it was most likely originally written in English. The book cover was in color and I think there was a girl on it, in a drawing style, not an actual picture ...
I was quite young and dont remember much, but I'll try to give as many details, though some might be wrong, sorry about that
It was set during WW2, though the story was fiction. It was a sort of romance between a Jewish girl and a German soldier. I think they met when he actually sort of saved her, kept her from being taken to a camp or something. I think the soldier's name was Hans. He tries to discreetly make sure she's okay, basically. Near the end, he helps her and a group of her people escape or maybe rebel, Im not sure. Only her knows he helps, their relationship is clearly secret. The group is in some tunnels underground and at a turn, one of the Jewish guys sees this soldier coming to them and shoots him. It was Hans and he dies and the girl is devastated ... but then later she'll marry the guy who killed the soldier, the fuck. I think that guy's name starts with a M.
Fun fact, the soldier calls the girl FraΓΌlein all the time. There are a few other words written in german as well, like schnell.
I feel like Im forgetting half the plot. I think I remember some stuff but it might be very wrong :
Im sorry its not much ... But thank you for giving it a try :)
